Now this is a beasty hook!
I’ve wanted to make my own real Xmas wreath for years. Finally did one and realised it was sooo heavy and I didn’t know how to attach it to the door. So I put this hook on the inside of the door (upside down – i wanted the outsider to look flawfess) and hung the wreath. Looked amazing and held the weight effortlessly.
Holds a whole laptop case with a heavy gaming laptop and all accessories for over a week now, plus a heavy jacket on top.
Very easy to stick down, though you better have a perfect shot because it is very strong so hard to remove once placed.
Bought to hang my straps from my Louis Vuitton bags on. Perfect and so far holding well. Bought another two after giving the first two a try. They are great for my intended purpose.
Just really happy with this product: like the look and just amazed that after 2 years of use (the one we had previously), it hasn’t left a single spot on the wall. So bought more (they come in different sizes). Medium ones work nicely for a toddler: now she’s got her hook, at her height, for her clothes and backpack.
They hold a large amount of weight. Just brilliant.
Very secure on my wall. Haven’t budged.
Really really happy with the job they are doing – i cant beleive how well they hold for such an easy and available application!
We love these hooks. They look good and have strong adhesion. We bought these to replace out others that just fell off after 8 years holding 2 dressing gowns, among other things.
Bought the medium size to display some items on the wall – they look quality and they’re doing a good job.
We’re not testing the weight limit though and I haven’t tried to remove them. I’m also grateful that our walls are grey, as some of the adhesive strips had picked up the print from the packaging. The removal tabs for these strips do stick out below the bottom of the hook and are visible, but when you can’t use nails… they’re a significant improvement over nothing!
They’re definitely not interchangeable with a hook drilled in the wall, and are not perfect for every job, but if you use them right, they are amazing. As a renter, I need to avoid drilling holes in walls, so these are perfect. I am currently using them to hold up two sets of curtains and they have always been great at this job. Would definitely recommend.
Super strong, I used 3 for hanging a fairly heavy curtain and pole in the bedroom, this was because the brickwork was almost impossible to drill and fit conventional way.
Have to be careful as the pole needs to be less than 20mm diameter to fit in the hook.
Been up now for 2 months, all still great, and stuck on painted plaster which wasn’t the smoothest finish.
Saved a right headache.
Used on the back of an oak door for a large towelling dressing gown.
If you follow each stage of the instructions on the back of the packet properly and then wait the allotted time before trying to hang anything off of it the adhesion is very good.
Very pleased with the product and would buy agai
I have used many of the command range around our home. I applied these as per the instructions in our hall. We used them for our house keys and 3/4 have fallen off.
Good size plastic hook. Used to hang Christmas wreath on UPVC front door. Great adhesion & sturdy quality cannot comment on how easy it is to remove as I have left it on the front doo
I wasn’t sure how to hang a Christmas wreath on our new composite front door (without banging a nail in and voiding the warranty), so I thought I would give these hooks a go.
I mounted the hook upside down on the reverse of the door, it’s worked brilliantly.
The wreath has been up for 3 weeks and so far and no problem at all. The wreath weighs around 1.8kg and there are no signs of failure. Highly recommended!
We have several of these and they are great. First bought some when we were renting and couldn’t put holes in the wall that we would struggle to fill cleanly but since buying our own place, we continued to buy more to put bits and bobs on inside laundry cupboards and things. Store everything fell welly boots in their bags on them, to travel bags and bags full of vacuum accessories. If you do overload them (which I have done once – their weight limit is clearly marked and I definitely far exceeded it) rather than pull a massive piece of plaster off your wall, the hook bit simply breaks off and you can peel it off as normal to remove
Good. Command hooks always are. I used these along a bay window that’s not on straight walls so i needed to improvise a bit. I ended up using no nails to keep these up as the curtains were quite heavy but the sizing is great and I’d recommend as always with command hooks
I was looking for a no-drill option to hang some curtains. These work well.
I set 2 of these with an extendable Racka curtain rod 2quid from Ikea and paired them up with a Majgull block-out curtain for 27quid for a pair from Ikea again. On a side note, this is a bloody good curtain that keeps the sun away completely!
Note – I’ve used 1 extendable rod and one-half of the curtains per window and placed them on 2 of these hooks. So far so good, they’ve been up for about a month roughly.
Also, I’ve tried them with Tibast curtains (35quid from Ikea) and they hold on as well in a similar setup. On a side note, this curtain is amazing as well, brings in some light but is woven in such a way to keep the harsh heat away and cast a shadow inside the room.
The removing of these is fairly easy as well.
Overall, I’ve bought nearly 20 of these and I’m happy with them.
I used this to hang a weighty pre-lit and decorated artificial Christmas wreath on a uPvc external door. In previous years, I’d used a heavy duty suction hook but for some reason it refused to stick this year so thought I’d try this Command version which will support up to 5.5 pounds. I’d not used Command hooks before; the instructions are simple – but take care to follow them exactly. I had no ‘rubbing alcohol’ – or methylated spirits as some reviews suggested – to clean the door, so used a touch of vodka and that worked fine. Once the hook’s up, it must be left for at least an hour before anything is hung on it. I found this Command hook worked better over Christmas than the suction type hook as occasionally the latter would fall off the door but the Command one stayed put throughout. It’s well made and strong. Just be careful if you need to place it 100% accurately though as once it’s in place you can’t adjust its position – only by removing it and starting again with a new strip. The beauty of this pack is that it contains two adhesive strips so can be used next year too making it great value. Easy to remove leaving no marks on the door – I love a product that does exactly what it claims!
I love these! Have a couple behind my bedroom door to hang coats on or as a holding area for hanger items ready to go in my wardrobe when sorting laundry.
Definitely stronger than advertised , I have frequently exceeded the weight recommendations and so far they are intact and still going strong and no damage to the surface either.
Only downside is that they are white rather than a clear or other finish but one there is something hanging on them you can’t see. Maybe some spray paint is called for. No matter anyway, I will buy more for the inside of my wardrobe soon to create additional hanging storage.
I bought 2 of these. One to go in the bathroom to hang a guest towel near the basin and one to go on the back of a bedroom door to hang a dressing gown. My main reason for buying them was I didn’t want drill holes in newly replaced doors or bathroom tiles. The hooks are attractive and tactile and will hold up to 3lbs in weight ( according to the packaging). I don’t intend putting them to the test! The instructions of how to affix them are clear, with wording and diagrams and you get 2 fixative strips. Replacement strips are available to buy on amazon. The big advantage of these is if you don’t like where you originally put them it is no hassle to remove them. The important thing is to make sure the intended surface is grease free (I used isopropyl alcohol to clean the area) and leave the base for an hour – I left it overnight – before re-attaching the hook. Excellent product.
User friendly, very strong if you follow the instructions and use them on smooth surfaces. They’re especially good on ceramic tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, but I would caution the buyer to keep them away from high volumes of water vapour from cooking, or too near to a boiling kettle. They can be used multiple times with the relatively inexpensive replacement strips so are very good value for money. As an engineer of forty years experience in heavy fabrication and latterly electronics, I can say with reasonable assuredness that these little gems will offer great service and will easily support the weight that the manufacturer claims, but it is essential that care to place these on a smooth medium, i.e. not brick and not wallpaper and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
I get a house provided with my job and have to move every couple of years. I am therefore limited to using products that do not cause any visible damage to our home. A few weeks ago I was thinking about the requirement for hooks in our current home and thought there must be a product out there that can be stuck to walls/doors/fridges etc that causes no damage when removed. After some research I came across these hooks and the first size I bought was small, which I used for key hanging hooks for our hallway. Having tested them (by removing a hook to see if any damage was caused) I realised that this is the product I have been needing for the past few years. I instantly ordered medium size hooks, which I am now using for hanging dish cloths and tea towels on in the kitchen. I then ordered some large hooks, which I am using on the backs of our bedroom doors for hanging dressing gowns and clothes on. These hooks really do remove easily and leave no marks. An excellent product that has brought order to my home, without me worrying about causing damage to one of my employer’s properties.
