I keep one or two of these handy for European friends visiting me in the UK. Also for equipment I might order from Germany that might come with a European power cord instead of a UK one. This adapter saves me from having to butcher the European cord to add a UK 3 Pin mains plug.
I got a “Pack of 1” but I recommend the pack of 2 or 3 – they’re far more economical.
Great for Visitors to the UK/Ireland.

Not much to say, I have a European Laptop and needed to plug it into my UK socket. My plug fits in perfectly and it works very well, looks nice, and feels good quality. Would recommend.
Price wise, well it’s not the cheapest. Shop around would be my advice. The design and quality is about average. It works fine and doesn’t look like it could catch fire any minute. I’d say it was trustworthy. It should last for many trips.
I got this to use with a product that came with an EU plug. It is easy to use, is CE marked, and does the job. It’s good value too, and feels sturdy. Can recommend it.
This was just what I needed. I recently bought a tape head demagnetize which was fitted with a two pin Euro plug. Euro plugs are different in dimensions standard UK shaver plugs.
The adapter can also take a round Euro plug that has an earth connector.
I like the fact that I can fit a standard BS1362 UK fuse and can choose from different amperage depending on the appliance. Euro plugs unlike UK plugs generally don’t have fuses. Having a fuse in an appliance is a UK safety requirement.
The adapter has good safety features:
1] Insulated neutral and live pins on the UK plug side, with a solid earth pin.
2] Safety blinds on the Euro plug socket side.
The plug is made well and feels solid; it’s not going to fall apart.
My Euro plug fitted snugly in the adapter socket.
Note: This adapter is designed to for appliances that are rated for 230V/240V UK mains. There is no step down transformer in the adapter.
It is not often I bring electrical items back from Europe, but I have a requirement to keep the moulded EU plug on a particular device whilst at the same time using it in the UK.
This adapter allows me to do just that.
In addition it is useful to leave in the guest room in case any of my French friends visit and require an EU socket.
If you have European plug items and need to use them in a UK socket, this does it great.
For some reason, some items sold in the UK don’t have a UK adapter. Like an Oral B toothbrush I recently bought from a high street shop, it had a European plug, which confused me a bit.
This solved the problem, and now it can be charged as normal.
5.49 for a single unit is a decent price and the quality seems reliable, so it’s worth getting.
Seems to be a decent quality adapter. Better, more solid plastic than another I have. Is shuttered.
For trips to Schuko-type socket countries I take a 4-outlet UK trailing socket with 2 USB outlets that’s wired to a Schuko plug and also take a Schuko to UK adapter like this. That enables use of a socket that might be ideally sited but used for something else like the fridge or TV. Sometimes, if not hard wired, the fridge socket in a hotel room is permanently on, not dependent on your key card being in its slot to activate the power. When in the UK the adapter enables the trailing socket to be used at home if required.
This adapter is well made, also fused and looks to be made from durable material. I think this is a reasonably priced and safe euro to uk mains adapter to use.
This product arrived broken, the earth pin was not connected. In fact it looked like it had never been connected. To put the pin on was an easy fix, but still required taking the unit apart. Not something you would expect to do with a brand new item. Once a unit was assembled it was quite sturdy and certainly carried out It’s required function. European plugs fitted easily and were held securely within. I think this is actually quite a reasonable plug socket converter. Think I was just done lucky to get a Friday afternoon one.
Recently I purchased OralB toothbrush, which comes with EU plug, thats mean the adapter is a must. Also it is handy with other appliances I own, or when have visitors from abroad.

The FitMania European to UK plug adapter is fitted with a removable 13A fuse and has safety shutters on the Schuko socket pins. It also carries the earth connection through to two internal brass springs, although I would prefer these to have been made wider and thicker.
It feels sturdy enough and is built with ABS flame retardant material, according to the website.
I had no problems inserting either a Schuko plug or a 2 pin European shaver lead, they both felt secure, but a two pin power adapter was not quite as good a fit. The price isn’t bad and it improves if you buy a multi pack.
