The usb stick (64gb) cam in a an actual capacity of 64gb unlike some other reviews saying it was fake, i took the risk and bought it and its there
The stick works amazing and withstands day to day use (with my phone via an adapter) and ive managed to get it to transfer at aroung 30-40MB/s and im pretty sure that it could go higher but is limited by my phones usb 2.0 port
The only thing i could think of that would make the usb stick better is if there was a cap for the port end as although it does flip round to be hidden there is still a gap and ive noticed some dust get in (which was easily blown out) but you cant really fault it for this after all it was 64gb for 6.99!
If you’re considering buying this memory stick, you’re obviously not looking for a reliable, sturdy top of the range memory stick. If you’re looking for a memory stick to hold the only copies of your birth certificate, will and the manuscript of your novel, I’d maybe invest in something sturdier. I bought this memory stick to put the windows media creation tool on to fix a laptop I had that was being a nusance. It did that job admirably, and now sits comfortably in my junk drawer, formatted and ready to go on another occassion where I need a memory stick. The days of memory sticks is sadly over, but this was a useful, worth while and cost effective solution to the problem I was having
This item could be improved by the addition of written information on the stick to show it’s capacity.
i.e. 8 GB. Irritating when used with similar sticks with varying capacity.
Sticks turned up as shown – each stick formatted fine to the stated 32Gb capacity.
Other comments have said that some sticks flash and others don’t – they all flash, it’s just that some colours the flashing is really obvious (red, green and purple) – they all have a pin prick in the end, through which you can see the red LED flash, even on the black and blue (if that’s something that’s important to you).
They’re USB2, so they’re not that fast – about 5MB/s to write – but they’re good enough.
These 5x32GB cost the same as 3x16GB (also USB2) in Argos – so I think they’re a bargain.
