I was looking for a garden rake to clear moss and weeds from our garden. I was finding all the products were expensive which is when I stumbled upon this beautiful little item. It was cheap so was a bit vary but I wanted to try as the main problem for me was the weeds that were spread throughout the lawn.
The item does exactly what it says i.e. plucks the weed out of the soil with its roots. It does need to grip the weed properly for it to come out but I found more often than not it grips and pulls the weed out with its roots.
I am happy with the item and would recommend to others. The only reason it’s a four rating is when it doesn’t grip properly it breaks the root so you have to manually pull the root but that is minor.
This length handle is ideal for me, as need to use a stool while gardening.
I found this was very good at hooking out larger weeds, but was also good for going between my plants in my flower boarders and going over the surface, clearing little weeds before they get hold.
Excellent for removing dandelions. Handle could do with being a little longer but then I’m being fussy. I’ve removed hundreds of dandelions from our lawn with this tool. So far it’s better than anything else I’ve tried.
