3.Where can i buy replace filters?
ANSWER: Please search product ASIN B07KHWKVCS.
There is not storage tank and faucet in the box. Because it is special design for aquarium use. If you need these, please search product ASIN B07D9JKSLJ, B078HTMHXV and high pressure, low pressure switch on Amazon and buy it separately.
4.What is in the box?
ANSWER: 1SET filters (3 pieces filters), diverter valve,1 piece wrench,some fittings,water pipe,clips,drain clamp,and so on.
5.BPA free?
ANSWER: Yes, BPA free.
Disadvantage:
1. The system can not work on and off automatically.
2. The flow rate is very less not same as tap water. that is about 4.2 gallon pure water per hour and under this work condition:feed water pressure: 70 psi. work temperature: 77 F or 25 C. Nacl concentration: 250 ppm. recovery: 15%.Different temperature, different water pressure and feed water quality, the product water capacity and pure water quality is different. That is reason we feel low pure water capacity in the winter, but higher in the summer.
3. The pure water can not store more than 1 day. you open the feed water valve when you need water.
If you accept above 3 points, you can use it at anywhere. Geekpure 3-Stage Reverse Osmosis drinking water filtration system is special design for aquariums, laboratory testing, and other applications where ultra-pure water is necessary.
Or else, please refer ASIN : B0897G9R6T and search it via Amazon. thanks.

System works well and offers great value. I use it to fill my fish tank and my 5 gal water cooler. Using standard tap pressures of 50-60 psi it yields 5 gals of water in 80 mins. At this rate the systems 24hr capacity would be ~90 gals.
I opted to forgo the included concentrate (or reject) water drain saddle that is meant to attached to your sink drain plumbing. I am in a rental unit and did not want to create a permanent installation.
I used an aftermarket ‘T’ shaped fresh water supply value, as the included one did not meet my expectations. This aftermarket valve allowed me to safely isolate the system to mitigate the risk of an RO system leak when it is unused and unattended. I also installed two aftermarket push-to-connect valves to the concentrate (or reject water) and permeate (filtered water) output lines in order to completely isolate and seal off the system when not in use. These modifications allow me to store the RO system in a plastic tub under my sink, where it remains ready for use and sealed against pathogens/ microbial growth.
With modifications, I estimate my total cost is ~$72 USD.
I highly recommend the unit as it is a simple effective device that offers excellent value.
Yeah. This is a very good bargain. It gets me clean water. I recommend putting a faucet before it, and I swapped the post carbon filter (for taste, it says) to being on the blue output line instead of before the membrane. No carbon dust on the membrane. So. Yeah. Great!
$50 is a great deal!
I’ve been using this RO water system for 1.5 years for my AquaOne 120 mixed reef. Never experienced any issues with my tank. I recently have a problem with the ball valve supplied. Geekpure walked the extra mile to find and send me a new one. Their excellent customer service prompted me to write this review. 5 Stars.
I brought this filter to provide RO water to a home fish breeding system. The price was attractive – less than what it cost to replace filters on a different system so I bought GeekPure. I test my water parameters with meters and can verify that the filter brings water down to acceptable ppm levels for TDS and EC (electro conductivity). My fish eggs get fertilized and hatch in this water. Why am I taking away a star? A faucet adapter should be included in the package and isn’t. I do not want to pierce a water line so I had to spend extra for a faucet adapter. Take away a star. Learn a lesson please, Geekpure people.
Its a waste of money to get more than a 3 stage RO system if you’re just using it to make water for drinking and cooking. This works perfectly. I have a 10 liter jug and I put it in the shower while the filter is attached to the bathroom faucet with a switched valve (can either have water run normally from the faucet or be switched to a side port into the filter tubing). I also set an alarm on my phone for when the jug fills up (takes about 1 hour and 15 min) and then go and take it out. In case I forget the excess water will just run into the shower cabin drain. According to my TDS meter TDS goes down from 135 in the tap water to 5 after filtering which is a decent result. Can also add an inline ion exchange filter at the end of the circuit from the same company to remove the last 5 ppm, should also last a long time since its only 5 ppm on the output.
Funciona muy bien para acuario. En menos de 1 da se consigo los 100 litros que me faltan siendo invierno (la tengo instalada en la terraza en el exterior). El agua que rechaza es de 1:3/1:4 nada de 1:2 como dicen.
I had to DIY it to go on to the faucet because you need to cut the water line and install there piece to make it fit otherwise. They shouldn’t adversit it as countertop.
This RO unit filters great so far. It lowers my PH from 8.2 to 7.0. This is good. I set this unit up to fill my aquarium using a float type shut off valve on the filtered line. When the water reaches the desired level, the flow shuts off. The problem is the waste water line continues to flow even after the float valve has shut off the filtered water line. This results in a continuous use of water. So I have to manually shut off the main valve once the aquarium is full. I had hoped it would be like the sink dispenser units. They do not continue to flush water out the waste line. They only flush waste water while you are filling your glass.
I got this because of the many high ratings, and advertised ease of use. I had purchased a distiller a while back, and the output was way too slow for our needs. He high cost of RO units had kept us from trying one, but then I found this little guy. It arrived nearly fully assembled – I just needed to put in the membrane filter part. I went to 3 plumbing supply stores and 2 hardware stores to find a valve that fit the tubing, and that also had a shut off. (Reviews had said not to trust the fittings). 2 of the plumbing supply stores looked at the pictured diverter valve and told me “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life”. They also said there was no way to connect this unit to my sink. Finally, my local hardware store saved the day and took the time to help me. I just measured our water from the faucet and it was 503 ppm. The filter included on our refrigerator puts out water at 408 ppm. The RO filter setup is currently running, and “flushing”. After 10 minutes, I checked the water from the red and blue hoses out of curiosity. The red hose is supposed to be concentrated impurities, and the blue hose is supposed to be filtered water. My red hose is putting out water at 750 ppm, and the blue hose is reading 9. Yep, this filter is taking my water from over 500 ppm, and giving me water with a ppm in the single digits. I’m impressed with the quality so far, for the cost. The only issue I can see is that the filters might get used up quickly, and they seem to be sold in packs, for a premium. As of now, 5 starts though. Works as advertised, no leaks.
It does a great job producing GH 0 TDS 3 RO water for my 60L aquarium. It comes with a bunch of accessories and extra tubing to hook it up permanently to your plumbing. But I was able to get an adapter from my hardwater store to hook it up to the tap outside (‘hose bib tap’). It uses industry standard “1/4 inch” RO/DI tubing. I find it produces roughly 1 litre of RO water for nearly every 2 litres of ‘waste’ water that I throw on the garden. If you are looking to produce a lot of RO/DI water regularly I would consider a more serious kit.
Geekpure replacement cartridges are expensive but I’ve been able to find cheap inline replacements. Note this one lacks a DI unit which I would recommend if you plan on for example keeping a reef quarium. You can find cheap inline DI units to add on to this kit if needed though.
Ok, you are getting a good filter for general water. Not for laboratory grade applications for sure….takes my 180ppm tap water down to an average of 22ppm.
Great for my plants. The hardware that comes with it? Use at your own discretion! You will need to spend some time in the plumbing department of your local hardware store, if you are not a plumber!
It produces a little slower than advertised.
I have extremely high water pressure and it takes a minute to fill up a 6gallon reservoir.
I only need 30gallons every month or so? Its a great unit for me. When I am done? I disassemble the unit and inject dry air to dry it! And then reuse it the next month. I do remove the RO membrane prior to adding to air supply to dry the other filters and then bag the RO filter when dry. Each time I engage the system I get about 22ppm H2O….It works for me?
The system works very well, but the filter kit only comes as a complete kit and it’s nearly the cost of the unit when it’s actually available on Amazon, which isn’t often. The only filter that isn’t widely available is the enclosed sediment filter, so I came up with a fix for that:
1x 10 inch generic water filter housing: $20
You just need some extra hose (search 1/4 ro water line, you can usually get it with a fitting kit), zip ties and a fitting kit to adapt it to the unit. Then you can buy generic 10 inch sediment filters, which will run you $30 for a six pack!
The carbon filter is a widely available coconut carbon post filter, they are cheap and can be bought in multipacks. Then you have the RO membrane (you’ll need a 100gpd membrane), also widely available. Now you can change the filters as needed and not waste money buying a complete filter kit every six months!
I use it for my Aquarium water for my fish it takes a bit of time but for the price you can’t beat it. I get 80 gals of R.O water in about 12 hours give or take plus what I want for tea/coffee /drinking for a small system I’m happy with it .
Bought this unit to use for my aquariums (South American fish). After the initial system flush I tested the water (day 1) pH in the low 6’s GH & KH in the 0 – 2 range. Plan is to slowly introduce small amounts of R/O water during water changes and slowly get my water to a lower pH and softer. …so…so far so good. btw – I didn’t want a permanent undersink setup so I bought the faucet adapter and just hooked it up to my kitchen faucet…easy to do and remove.
Really good bit of kit for the fishkeeper. Dead simple to setup and it returns a reasonably good amount of water per hour (i reckon maybe 10-12l/hr). Quite a lot of waste water though, which needs to be disposed of. Just remember you’ll need a pot to store the new water in and a connector to attach it to a tap. You’ll also need the relevant buffers to add to your water, before it goes in to your tank!
This little powerhouse is a magnificent marvel of technology. For less than 60 dollars, this system can not be beat!
Comes mostly assembled. All I had to do was insert the RO membrane into the cylinder and connect water input. This does NOT come with a garden hose adapter, so I purchased one separately that was listed in the “Frequently bought together” list.
We have terrible well water that comes out RED sometimes from all the clay deposits. My EC meter measures 650ppms on our raw well water (500ppm scale). The water produced from the clean water line of this filter reads 0PPM! I have had this unit for a couple weeks now and it has produced over 200 gallons of pure, clean, great tasting water for me and my plants!
If you are a gardener, this RO system is a MUST!
If you are a clean water fanatic, this system is a MUST!
Great tasting water! SO happy with this purchase! The replacement filters are only 37 dollars for the whole set, which is VERY affordable! A friend of mine has had this RO system for 2 years and has never even replaced his filters, and his still works great!
It may not be the fastest RO system on the market but if price is an issue, BUY THIS UNIT!! I suggest buying a tank or 5 gallon water jugs to store the clean water in, as it takes about 5 minutes to get a full 16 oz glass of water. Also, does not require crazy high water pressure. I’d say our water pressure is no more than the average household water pressure and the system still performs just fine.
I am telling ALL of my friends about this great filter system! I wish I had found this a long time ago! Thank you OSMOPUR for making a great, affordable RO system! Finally, EVERYONE can afford clean water!
Ok, first things first, the instructions are completely useless, like google translate would have done a better job… aside from that it installed perfect for my fish tank. I have it running 24/7 doing water constant water changes. Once my PH has stabilized I will slow it down. I tested the water and it has a nice low PH in the mid 6.5 range (Reverse osmosis water is so pure it oxides CO2 right out of the air and becomes slightly acidic). So good indication that everything is going well. Tap water in our city is very alkaline in the mid 8-8.5 range so it is definitely doing its job. I took a star off because the instructions were so bad I initially hooked the waste water end into my aquarium instead of the drain… ha ha… good thing I tested the water coming out and realized my error…. the RED line is drain.
30 Day Update: The filter was completely clogged….. (this is due to very bad town water) so I took the inlet and put it on the outlet, and backwashed the filter….. Nasty white water came out for a couple minutes, and then when I reassembled it the correct way, the water flow was back….. I know they would prefer I replaced the membrane all the time, but this seems to have worked well, and according to my water tests it is still performing perfectly.
