OK so I’m late 50s and this has been a godsend for me I have shoulder length hair as I can no longer style my hair due to artritus this is my go to now used couple times a week that’s all that’s needed. Couldn’t recommend this highly enough

Loved everything about this product, I only wish I’d found it sooner! I no longer spend ages straightening my hair, I just give my hair a quick brush with this and it’s done.
    Fast delivery, great item.

    Really rate this.
I have long 2C/3A hair and this straightens it and takes away the frizz really quickly, without taking away the volume. My hair is also really knotty and using a brush tool rather than an iron helps prevent this.
I now rough dry my hair and run this through for 5 mins and I’m out the door, it also helps tidy up day 2/3 hair quickly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is the best hair product my wife owns, from the day she got it all I’ve heard are positive comments. I’m so far into her good books I may be able to go to the pub with my mates.

Thanks GHD even husbands like you

I recently purchased the cloud 9 version of the hot brush and was so disappointed. It barely did anything to my hair, so I decided to swap it for the ghd instead. It does get very hot, so could do with a heat glove. But it’s definitely worked at taming the frizz. Doesn’t make your hair poker straight like a straightener, but It does a good job and I do like it!

I’ve used GHD straighteners for years and they are great, but this suits me so much better. It’s quick to heat up and so much faster to straighten my hair. With straighteners I would lose a decent amount of hair each time but that’s not an issue with the glide brush. It works best when you use your other hand to hold the hair taut. I have thick, shoulder length quite curly hair and this has replaced my straighteners completely.

I purchased this on a whim as wanted something quick and easy. I have naturally curly hair and although this is not poker straight it definitely straightens it enough with a bit of volume. It’s so much quicker when you don’t have time to straighten your hair fully with straightners. It’s also helps with the little bits of hair that stick up at the back on men’s hair.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersIt usually takes over half an hour to straighten my hair as it’s very curly, with this it takes a few minutes! I didn’t think it would work but it is great. I paid 15 for this item, I think it was a listing error but I would recommend it for full price.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is good .. better for your hair than straighteners and works well once you get the hang of it. However .. it really should come with a heat protection glove. You need to use both hands, one to hold it and one to help glide it through your hair, when you are lifting your hair..and the bristles are obviously very hot. So for the price, you would expect a glove.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI have the weirdest hair. It is naturally dark blond, very fine, and if left to dry naturally forms all over frizzy ringlets. As soon as I use a haidryer to rough dry it, it goes fluffy and fairly straight, and then the first sign of damp it is frizzy, curly and unmanageable. Safe to say apart from the colour of my hair, I hate it! I bought this thinking I had probably wasted a load of money on yet another expensive hair toy to add to my vast collection of implements that do nothing for my hair! But…..I fairly rough dried my hair after putting some serum on the bottom half, then used this when it was completely dry. My hair is now pretty straight, more shiny (because it is smooth) and after going out in the cold for a walk not the usual dreadful frizzy mess it would be. I have used it three times now, assuming that the first time was a fluke, but no – same results. Takes no time, just like giving your hair a good brush, and heats up in a couple of minutes. I am actually hopeful that this tool will work for me!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBrilliant product and very fast. I am really impressed with how fast you can achieve a blowout look. My only issue was that the product had very minor beauty mistakes, please see the pictures enclosed. I suspect it was used before.

Update after months of use. This product would be my favorite styling tool, but 1. it is difficult to clean 2. there should be more heat settings, 180 degrees and under as for some people lower heat settings already do the job. It really dry the hair out after regular use even with a very good heat protectant.

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant tool, wish I had found this earlier.

Golden Review Award: 48 From Our UsersThis was an impulse Prime Day purchase, I must admit, after a few drinks whilst abroad on holiday! Whilst I was pleased at the discount, I was nevertheless convinced afterwards that I’d wasted 100. The parcel was delivered safely to my work address and was waiting for me when I got home. Despite my scepticism I was very pleasantly surprised. I had been hoping that this could be used on wet hair to dry as it styled, but that’s not how it’s designed to be used. So I gave my hair a blast with the dryer and although not 100% dry, it was still sufficient for the brush to work. As I’ve got older, my slightly wavy hair has become more dry and prone to frizz. If I let it dry naturally, it goes floofy, if I blowdry it, it’s dry and frazzled looking. However, just a few minutes brushing with this tool made it, if not quite salon-perfect as another review said, then certainly closer to it than I’ve ever got myself! It’s not as straight as straighteners achieve, but these days I don’t want poker straight, and it was sooooo much quicker and easier than straighteners! Plus I didn’t burn my scalp or my fingers! This brush tamed the horrible dry frizz to something approaching sleek and I was surprised at how shiny it went. Very happy with this product, and I won’t be putting it straight on eBay after all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised!

I like how fast this takes to use. It is much faster than straightening. No it doesn’t make my hair completely straight but it’s not meant to and neither do hair straighteners tbh. It takes away most of my frizz which is what I want while doing some straightening.

The problem I do have with it though is that because the brush bit is hot your hair has to be completely tangle free. And I mean completely. I use a tangle teaser before and during using this but still difficult, especially at the ends of the day. And as this product is meant for girls with frizzier and hair on the wavy/curly side it’s slightly disappointing although not sure how it could be avoided with this type of product. Especially when my hair is a mix of loose curls/waves. I find I can’t do the ends of my hair properly so doesn’t look as smooth as I want at the bottom.

But the 5 minutes to brush through my hair is nice and quick in the mornings which is why I got it so it serves its purpose.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersAs someone with very curly coarse hair which frizzes when dry, I’ve struggled to tame it all my life. Blow-drying it merely increases its volume four-fold and straighteners while great, flatten it so that it doesn’t feel like my hair at all, plus straightening it takes ages and damages it! Getting it professionally blowed-dried is lovely; it behaves and is still full of body, but like most of the world, I don’t have the money and time to get it blow-dried every week.

I’ve been eyeing this brush for a while now, put off by the hefty price-tag, all while wondering if it really does walk the walk. Finally though, having tried a few cheaper options with disappointing results, I took the plunge and haven’t looked back. The brush is compact though for some may feel hefty. It comes in a sleek box with minimal packaging.

I unpacked it and eagerly held down the on-off button to get it going. After a moment it beeped and flashed, and began to heat up. I waited impatiently and after around 90 seconds, it beeped again to indicate it was ready. The light stayed on and grabbing it, I began to pull it through a section of my dry frizzy hair. It took two tries to get it just right; the slow glide that seems to do the trick. In three strokes, the section of my hair became instantly smoother and shiny and I moved on to the next bit. In all, it took me around 6 minutes to work through my thick coarse hair.

I next tried the brush when I next washed my hair: I followed my usual routine of washing, then blasting my hair with my 2600w hairdryer. As usual, this left it looking like the wrong end of a battered broom. Rather than smothering it in defrizzing products and tying it back with hairpins to tame the front, Out came the GHD glide. Within five minutes (yes I timed it) my hair was transformed from its usual frizzy mess to a shiny manageable mane. I now use the glide once every few days, when the dreaded frizz shows its face In the month I’ve had it, I’ve probably used it more than my GHD straighteners which I’ve had for over seven years.

A few points to be aware of though: this brush will not straighten the same way straighteners do — I’m always left with the odd kink near my scalp. Personally I don’t mind that, it’s better than my usual frizz. Second, it won’t turn off if you accidentally press the button when using it — like I do each time I use it. To turn it off, hold the on-off button down for a few seconds; it will beep and flash, then go off. Third, its not the easiest thing to clean; I wait until it has cooled down, then clean it using a toothbrush which is simple enough to do.

Overall though, it has transformed my hair; I thought I’d have to live with frizzy hair, had resigned myself to it and accepting that for me straighteners though getting rid of the frizz, were to damaging to my already dry hair, now I enjoy sleek shiny hair on a daily basis. I doubt any hot brush can produce poker-straight hair, but this one at least gets rid of one of my worst enemies, frizz.
