I bought this on a personal recommendation from another gardener. I only read the reviews after it was delivered but hadn’t used it, I was a bit dubious.
I set it up with the circular blade to tackle overgrown scrub. It cut through it in no time, was easy to handle and manoeuvre and I was impressed with how long the battery lasts.
Good points, the range of accessories, although I was missing the plastic blades; it is lightweight and easy if upper body strength isn’t so good; it is fairly quiet and not likely to annoy the neighbours.
Bad points; you really need that spare battery as the charging time given was very optimistic, I timed it at 6hours to charge and that was with it not being completely drained beforehand.
The indicator on the handle is useless as it doesn’t light up and is difficult to see, I judged which speed by the noise and watching the blade cut.
I feel it is lacking a safety feature with no ‘dead man’s handle’. I think the most likely buyers would be women and older people. Of course no machine like this is ever completely safe, but I wouldn’t like to trip with it.
All in all, I’m pleased with what’s there for the price, but I wouldn’t have bought it going by the reviews and not personal recommendation.
