I’ve tried a few caffeine / hair booster type shampoos, Alpecin, Mancave, Syoss, Dove, I always come back to this. Most of the others left my hair feeling so dry, especially Alpecin. Syoss gave me a terribly itchy scalp.
This seems to be the best stuff for my hair, I’m getting almost zero hair loss when washing, no itching and no dandruff and my hair isn’t dry, isn’t greasy, it’s just right.
It feels quite expensive spending 12 on a bottle of shampoo, think that’s why I’ve tried a few alternatives, but this is a big bottle and lasts ages and gives me the best results, so I’ll settle with Head & Shoulders 7in1 going forward.
Creamy, and makes lots of bubbles!

Would like to know if you are supposed to use a conditioner after use
This is a very big bottle of shampoo. Smells nice and leaves hair very clean. It’s very tingly on the scalp which is nice. It has reduced the amount of times I need to wash my hair per week so I’m pleased about that.
This is the first shampoo that’s not caused this problem, and it smells more pleasant than the normal head and shoulders.
I can’t really comment yet if it’s helping in terms of reducing hair loss but I’ll definitely be sticking with it as it’s keeping my scalp feeling much healthier.
P.S. you don’t need to use too much as it foams up really well.

Some people believe that adding caffeine to shampoo can help your hair grow back. This was indeed the marketing before, however, there is currently no proof that this is indeed the case. This is most likely the reason why the Alpecin brand has removed the hair-loss marketing from their bottles. Some scientists believe that there is potential in this, but question whether the concentration of caffeine is sufficient to really promote hair growth or not. This may still be the case, but there are currently not enough studies to prove this yet. I’m hoping this can slow the process of hair loss, but again, there is no proof.
As always, be careful if you are particularly sensitive to either the normal H&S shampoo or the caffeine. This shampoo also has the dandruff-decreasing ability that their other models do, and while I still notice some, I do think that I feel a positive effect (although that could also just be placebo).
Also, the shampoo does not smell that sweet. I wouldn’t say that the scent is strong or overly medicinal, however, when moving to a different shampoo, you really start to notice the scent of others.
Currently, I have not suffered any adverse effects, and maybe it’s too soon to draw a conclusion, but I don’t feel any difference with my hair in terms of thinning. It does clean my hair though so all’s good I guess?
