Homemedic’s bubbling foot spa is the best soothing and relaxing experience I have had in a long while as I have tried a few, I suffer with arthritis so thought I gave a gamble on a cheap one and I’m glad I did because it keeps water a good temperature, easy to use, looks good, performs very well for the price and If you put a cushion under it the noise is pretty quie
Half a star off for noise, half a star off for lack our powerful bubbles.
But 4 stars for the look of it, the pumice stone included, the easy of use and the good price.
You do have to be organised when you use a foot spa with a towel on the floor and a safe socket, flip flops, lotions, a book etc. etc. but then it is very relaxing.
Purchased for my 12 year old son who suffers from high arches and severe foot pain as a result. He finds the warm water soothing. Quite loud when switched on but he also uses it without turning it on sometimes. It doesn’t take up much space either which is a bonus.
Feels good, looks good.
Worth the full price due to its heating and massaging options.
If you like your water kept HOT then this does it
I gifted to my mom for her birthday and she says it helps her with her pains
This works as I had hoped. Me and my daughter had a fun “spa day” at home. She was over the moon. The spa is a little loud but this didn’t put us off. There was less vibration sound when placed on a towel and feet resting on the bottom. I didn’t find the warming panels too hot like other reviewers. Water stayed pleasantly warm through the entire use time. The main down side for me is that the cable isn’t very long for plugging in. The plug wouldn’t reach any of my sockets from any of my chairs. I had to do a bit of rearranging of furniture but not the end of the world. All in all, good foot spa with handy collapse/folding.
After a brief stint in hospital my husband asked for a foot spa to help with the dry, cracked skin on his feet. He also suffers with edema so we wanted something gentle and also didn’t want to spend a lot of money in case he didn’t like it. So, this seemed like an ideal starting point – basic but would give us an idea of whether or not it was soemthing he would use.
Filling was a little awkward but a kettle full of boiling water and one of cold water just about got us to the Max Fill Line. Unfortunately, it is really difficult to assess where that line is at is white on white and even under a bright light you can’t see it so you have to feel for it and with boiling water in play you really don’t want to putting your finger tips in it.
Left it to cool down a little as still too hot to use comfortably and then off he went. He soaked his feet for a few minutes and then turned the bubbles on. It wasn’t too noisy but this could be because we had it placed on a towel over a thick rug so this could likely have absorbed some of the noise. He said the bubbles were ticklish but kind of nice and the pumice stone helped remove some of the heel and ankle thick skin that has built up. Still a way to go but this has certainly had an impact on the quality of his foot skin. He also liked the hard nodules on the base to rub his feet on.
Emptying is a little tricky as there is no spout to pour the water out of but it wasn’t too onerous a task. Just a quick wipe down with kitchen paper once emptied and it can pop back into it’s box.
For the price point the quality is better than anticipated but it is a very basic unit.
