Needed a replacement key as the spring broke in the original. These are way cheaper than purchasing a key from a dealer, and work well.
Some other reviewers seem to dislike them because they asked a locksmith to cut the key and were refused. There’s no need to do that, instead you push the small pin out that holds the metal key part, and swap it with the actual metal key from the original key. Then swap over the circuit board and battery and re-assemble. Tools needed are a small hammer, pin punch or some other small item to push the pin out (a tiny nail may work) and possibly some small pliers. There are videos on YouTube and elsewhere showing the process if it’s not obvious enough.
Once re-assembled key works like new and looks much better than the worn out original.
This is just what I needed to replace a damaged key fob. Super easy to swap the internals over; 5 minutes and the new Key Fob case was good to go! Recommended.
