Hozelock Kitchen Tap Connector with a 24mm male head – Yellow

How to measure your garden tap?

There are multiple garden tap sizes and Hozelock offers a tap connector for every size, but which is the right one for your tap? Measuring your tap and buying the correct tap adapter can be confusing, as the measurement used is sized according to the standard British Standard Pipe, also known as BSP. This measurement refers to the size of the internal diameter of the pipe. So when you measure the outside diameter of your tap’s thread this doesn’t correspond to the BSP – refer to our handy conversion guide to ensure you purchase the correct connector.

Better than the other options eg over top of tap option which I had to return or the jubilee clip kind. It does leak a little bit But not as much as the others. Very useful to have around.

Bought 2 of these to fit on our bath taps, so we could connect up some temporary garden hose, to enable a shower hose fitment to odd shaped bath taps. Has worked perfectly while we got round to renovating the bathroom.

So handy on downstairs bathroom tap or kitchen allows me to water the grass and garden and clean the car with my hose without paying a lot of money for a plumber to install an outdoor tap. I have since ordered another three for neighbours!!!! Great purchase. Just make sure you have an adjustable spanner and the hozelock works like a treat so easy to fit!

Bought so I could attach a hose and fill up a paddling pool with warm water. Took 2 minutes to fit to my large square mixer tap, no leaks from the tap or when the hose is connected. As it has an aerator I will leave it on the tap. Simple, permanent, cheap solution.

I had previously bought a cheap plastic fitting off another site with nothing but problems, i finally found this fitting and what a god send it has been. I use this to attach a hose to kitchen tap to fill and drain my large fish tank makes the job alot easie

Love this product, spend years trying to fix a hose to our kitchen tap. Getting drenched and having to mop up. This adapter is so easy to use. No drenching no mopping up!

We’ve been trying to use a hose with out kitchen tap for some time now. We can’t use clamps because of the bend at the end of the tap and we can’t use the standard hose connector. I’d almost given up trying when I found this.

I unscrewed the black filter from the tap and this connected straight on. Perfect!

This works really well and doesn’t leak
Its easy to attach to the kitchen tap but I would warn people to be careful as the edges are sharper than they appear. I received many cuts to my fingers and hand when trying to screw it in tight. Otherwise its great and Im very happy with i

I had been looking for a connector such as this for a while and had bought some woefully inadequate products. This is by far the best and does the job. Excelle

So worried about how I get my hose all the way through inside my house to use my pressure washer . Found this magical amazing hozelock connector . Now I am able to use my front wash room to get access and its now couple meters I need the hose keep inside my house. Very brave invention .

What can I say, it’s great!. Unscrew the kitchen tap aerator, the pack came with a rubber washer incase the existing one is perished or missing. Push the washer up into the tap and screw on the hoze adapter. Five minute job. No more drapping dish cloths over the top of other types of clamp on adapters to stop the water spraying everywhere when under pressure. BRILLIANT.

Worked exactly as expected. Bonus is it comes with built in aerator so you can just leave it on the tap permanently if you want to. Sturdy metal construction, hope it lasts a long time.

Fits simply onto mixer tap in downstairs wc.

Allows us to hose dog down with warm water in the winter.

Plumber wanted 100’s to install outside mixer tap. Apparently this requires special valves. I have spoken to people who have had this done and advised that the valves often play up.

This product does the job far more cheaply and removes the risk of hose fittings falling off the tap.

Bought to connect garden hose to indoor kitchen tap. Until it arrives you can’t be sure it will fit your tap. Well it did mine !! A straight forward bogo kitchen mixer tap that I probably bought in B & Q. Removed airator thingy from tap and screwed this in it’s place, perfect, no drips or squirting water.

This hozelock tap connected is absolutely amazing,I have tried so many tap connectors and wasted so much money as none of them was any good for my kitchen tap although they suggested that they would fit my tap. This connecter is perfect it screws into the tap then the hose connects to it.

Wanted this to be able to use a hose in my bathroom that would fit & be long enough to use outside my flat window to water plants, wash dogs & fill up a paddling pool & it ticks all the boxes & I actually use the hand spray in my apartment to water my numerous plants.

Made such a difference during a new kitchen refit – no sink or taps was harder to deal with than the lack of cooking equipment!! So we used this adaptor to fit a piece of hose on our very small cloakroom sink tap – then we could run water into bigger trugs for washing up, or into bottles for drinking etc etc and using a piece of hose meant that all didn’t have to happen inside the tiny cloakroom too.

Bought to replace other version of this that has an over-tap hood and tightening screw that always leaked.
After putting some PTFE tape on the thread this one didn’t leak!
Able to easily water the garden without worrying about water all around the sink.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen I first screwed it into the tap, water leaked out around the screw thread, then I realised there’s a very tight rubber washer in the packaging, stretched that over the thread & screwed it back into the tap – Perfect,
Doesn’t leak at all, lets me connect my hose pipe to the hot tap properly.

Couldn’t find this product in garden centres, B&Q or other hardware shops. It is a great way to connect something to the tap. It comes with a thick washer so that there are no leaks. Very easy to screw onto the tap. Plus, it is also an aerator, so I keep mine on the tap permanently and it doesn’t look too conspicuous in the kitchen (once you have taken the plastic part off). It controls the water flow (doesn’t restrict it too much) and I find it is actually much better than the aerator originally on the tap! You can also use it with washbasin taps. As it has the standard 3/4 thread, it is quite versatile and you could use it to connect appliances to the tap.

I would highly recommend this product. I didn’t know that this type of product existed until recently, then found out that our kitchen sink can change its nozzle adapter to this one. This have saved me so much money as I was about to get an outdoor tap fitted, due to no hose adapters being able to fit our taps. I have permanently left the metal adapter on my tap as it has also increased our water pressure from that tap by at least double

My fault … I measured tap but difficult to measure thread and this adapter is at least a few mm too small for my mixer tap Be aware. Looks fine though.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDue to our tap being a funny shape, there was no way of connecting a hose to it (believe me, I’ve tried every adapter going) – until I found out that these little gadgets exists. I looked at cheaper alternatives but they didn’t contain an aerator for the tap. I can literally leave the metal bit in place and the aerator is better than the one on my tap anyway! Then just attach the hose as needed. It doesn’t leak at all but then again I reused the washer from the original aerator as it fitted my tap better than the one supplied with this adaptor, so I don’t know if that made any difference. Also, be careful as the threads are SHARP! It seriously should have a warning on the packaging – it’s that sharp I didn’t actually feel it happen until I saw the blood! I read the review by the customer who sliced their finger open, forgot about it, so guess who’s sat here with plasters after slicing my finger and palm open while tightening it to my tap? But then again, I have a hose that I can finally use after several years of having to hold the hosepipe in place continuously by hand while someone else fills the paddling pool or washes the car, and it doesn’t leak and I don’t have to buy a new tap just to use a hosepipe – so I’m more grateful than anything.

If you are like me who don’t have the pleasure of a garden tap outside and forced to use the kitchen tap then this is perfect. Make sure you have a 24mm removal screw on head in your kitchen tap. Then basically remove the existing one and put this one on then attach a garden hose pipe to the end. Perfect. Only thing is you need to then unscrew it and put the original kitchen tap screw back on after use.

This thing is amazing, I do get overly excited about the smallest of things but this is a game changer. If you have a 24mm tap then this will work and it won’t leak! I think when people say it leaks that it’s user error… mine leaked and then I realised I didn’t put the rubber ring in between the aerator and the tap… this completely stops any leakage. My jet wash is working perfectly off the house tap as we don’t have a tap at the front of the house to wash the cars.

Works well ive been able to water my garden with no problems. Howeve be careful with the water pressure. You need to increase the flow of the water slowly to ensure water dosent spert out.

Installed into the kitchen tap, did have a leak but solved it by wrapping PTFE tape around the thread. I like that the metal end can be left on the tap permanently attaching the yellow hose connector as needed. The threaded part is quite deep and I couldn’t get it all the way in the tap, also be careful if using a tool the connector can easily damage.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis does exactly what it says on the tin and is an absolute life-saver if you have not got an outside tap! Its as simple as screwing your aerator attachment out that sits within your tap and screwing this little chappy in. It has a built in aerator of its own so you can leave it in the tap permanently and then screw your Hozelock attacher on (the yellow bit); when you want to use the hose!
Great product, fast delivery. Would recommend to anyone without an outside tap!

I only have an outside water tap in the back garden, but have borders and plants that need watering in the front garden. I had tried a number of different fittings to try and get it so that I could attach a hose to my bathroom tap by the front door, however they all failed spectacularly (either didn’t fit, or didn’t provide a good enough seal and spouted water everywhere!)

I had never thought of switching the tap fitting out completely with a different device like this. It works perfectly and provide a no hassle, ‘spout free’ connection to my hose. I can now easily attached my hose to the tap near the front door (takes about 1 minute).

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersFits just fine and doesn’t leak (more than any one mounted on an outdoor tap). Makes life in a flat a bit easier. It’s the metal bit of this that is the clever bit. The plastic snap-on bit is a standard Hozelock connector and as good or bad as they usually are. Suggest you make a loop on the hose and place it in the bottom of the sink and then make sure it stays with something ‘heavy’. This way, any dripping running on the outside of the hose, will stay in the sink, rather than getting onto your floor.

This product is great, just what I was looking for. Having a garden but no outside tap is a bit of a nuisance especially on warm summer days when the kids like the paddling pool out! I tried other, cheaper adapters on my kitchen tap but ended up flooding the kitchen each time! This one fits perfectly and securely with no mess at all! It’s brilliant and now I Can fill the paddling pool with warm water straight from the tap! Well worth the money.

Brilliant device for securely converting a tap to be able to run a hose, without it falling off and soaking the kitchen. Works really well and means watering the garden no-longer results in a wet kitchen. The threads are good and seem solid and the knurling is well done and just provides good grip without feeling like it will tear your skin off. I had been looking for one of these for ages but not been able to find one. Eventually found this on the Hozelock website and happily then bought it from amazon. Was a little surprised it was as much as it was but still worth it not to have to mop the kitchen every time I watered the garden. I had tried several other tap adapters that grip the tap but none were suitable for my kitchen tap.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersIf you’re looking at this item, you’ve probably been in the same place as us – having just secured the big “tap adapter” you’ve purchased to your kitchen tap, you apprehensively turn on the water for the first time… Only for the water to spurt everywhere and coat your kitchen/bathroom.

This tap adapter is different. You remove the aerator cartridge from your tap (I could unscrew ours by hand, but maybe you’ll need a spanner) and you’ll screw this one in it’s place.

OK, so it doesn’t look quite as nice as the cartridge that came with your tap – but it works pretty darn well. You can now connect a hose up without worrying about soaking the room, and you can unscrew the yellow hose adaptor and still use your tap like a normal tap.

If you can’t fit an outside tap, this is the next best thing…
