Its sturdy but doesn’t really produce a mist no matter how much you tighten the nozzle, its Ok for orchids but a bit strong, in two minds whether to send it back or no
Great product remember if you leave liquid remaining in the bottle to keep the plunger out of the bottle and fully extended otherwise the metal tube in the bottle will rus
We use these type of bottles all the time the best we have found but they still break and stop pumping the water as we use them every day so might last a month and then we need more but still better than other ones we have tried
You can buy cheaper, but Hozelock products are sturdy.
I’ve used mine for washing bikes where a jet wash would be too powerful, daily washing road salt off a motorbike during winter, wetting walls for stripping wallpaper, and even watering plants!
Always release the pressure after use for extended life
I’ve used this model of sprayer for many years and found it to be very easy and convenient to use.
I don’t understand the bad reviews but I do agree that a pressure release valve would be helpful.
Make sure the clear plastic inlet pipe is firmly pushed into the spray head before first use and put some silicone spray on the large o-ring. Tighten the lid firmly. You can tell if it’s tight enough because there’s a squeaking sound when you pump up the pressure.
Bought for my greenhouse. Wanted something that could deliver a fine gentle spray. More than adequate.
But can also deliver a quite powerful spray.
Added bonus of pressure spraying. Got tired of using a hand pump spray. This is so much easier.
This is a robust item. Top screws on well. The small button on handle to make it spray, a little tedious.
But good to spray seedling with and will last for years. Like the brand, always robust design and products.
We have used thus in my primary school for 7 weeks now to spray PE equipment and large play equipment. So that’s at least a dozen times a day. It is totally reliable. The fine mist spray is extremely fine.
Just be careful with the black elastic ring that seals it together. It lives in the top part but fell out once when refilling. We looked everywhere then finally found it had fallen in the bottle when I put the lid back on. Now I know it does this, I just check it’s in properly each time.
I HAD ONE OF THESE CHEAP SPRAYS BEFORE WHICH WAS USELESS, SO BUYING THIS PUMP SPRAY WAS A GREAT BUY It is easy to use . I bought it for spraying my plants with feed, I am going to uses it to spray against white fly.

I have used many hand sprays over the years and this is streaks ahead of them all. My first impression was of how robust and tough it was. As with all Hozelock products it does an excellent job and spares are always available. The issue of not having a release value is easily sorted, just invert the spray and press the trigger. I have given it all the stars because I cannot fault it.
Purchased from amazon directly. Arrived next day and was packaged well.
Required it for spraying feel on baby plants and it did exactly that. It was easy to remove the top so that water could be added. The pump was also extremely easy to use and pressurise the container so that the spray would work.
The spray itself when triggered would produce an extremely fine mist/spray which was able to be modulated ever so slightly. Its also not a very product and with it filled, was not at all heavy to use.
Definitely recommend to anyone.
Use these with a light mix of cleaning fluid in them to spray the showers after use.
Sturdy with wide opening they work great and with a light fine mist – perfect for the job.
We bought two and one had a faulty lock on/off switch and had no effect – which I see others have reported about too.
But this was not a concern for our needs.
