Assembly is straightforward with very clear instructions. NOTE: It’s very important to adjust the ‘clutch’ cable as per the instructions, before using. The electric start is a boon particularly when you have large areas of grass to cut (cuts down on shoulder strain !!). If you have tight spaces to mow and/or a bumpy lawn, a smaller mower would probably be better. Very economical on use of fuel. Overall, absolutely delighted with this mower.
Well, this is a big upgrade from what I had before, some no name, electric ones, cheap and not really good, but man, this is awesome . Looking strong, high quality and big. I just assembled ( now the heavy part, trying to understand how to adjust the cables), last settings and ready to jump in the garden. The real exam will be in September, in the mountains, I have a house in the mountains and a big area just waiting for this machine. I’ll come back with updates, but till then 5 !
Lawnmower arrived when they said they would, which was very quick.
Setting the machine up is fairly straight forward and the instruction seemed clear enough.
Followed the setup procedure and filled with oil and petrol.
Startup was simple and the lawnmower started first time.
Have done the first lawn cut of the year, which it coped with without any problems. To early to say on the long term reliability of the lawnmower, but on first impressions am very happy.
Assembly took about 45 mins, bit fiddly with the various control wires. Starts first time with push button (pull also an option. Roller leaves great stripes and bag looks small but fits snuggly and takes a surprising volume of cuttings. No complaints.
Assembly instructions difficult to understand, but very easy to operate. Electric start & variable speed a bonus, but grass box very fiddly to remove and replace. Overall positive to date, but concerned about long term durability.
Love the mower so far, have only taken it for a spin once so time will tell. Installation instructions are a tad confusing but if your slightly technical you can work it out anyway. a bit tedious filling the oil and checking with the dipstick to make sure it isn’t overfilled, however the whole 600ml bottle went in mine and was just about right. It is very heavy so moving it around a very small garden might be a bit tricky. Anything about 30m2+ would be perfect. Self drive goes from snails pace to race horse. Its quieter then I imagined also, didn’t really need noise cans. Disappointed this doesn’t come with a mulching plug. But otherwise a fine mower.
I bought this mower having moved to a medium/large garden and wanting a good mower with roller and self propelled facility. In short it is absolutely brilliant! It started from first push of the button and the results are super.
The printed assembly instructions that came with it may be somewhat confusing however and we took the precaution of watching an assembly video on Youtube that was really helpful and is recommended. The only other point that may help potential purchasers is the fact that the mower is so well made it is quite heavy to push and manipulate in small areas so we have kept our old lighter mower for those points in our garden.
Great machine, works beautifully and lawn stripes to boot. Downside – bit on the heavy side especially on a cross cut slope. But the upsides far outweigh this. I have had several mowers over the years and this is the best bar none
