Awesome game brought this in march and i absolutely love it having played AC odyssey i love that many of the voice actors from that game are in this and it even has some references to odyssey which is cool and i love the ancient greek setting it’s a great game
Even though it’s done in a more comic style than Horizon Zero Dawn the similarities are there as a RPG type of game. I’ve spent well over 100 hours playing and I’m enjoying the challange, worth picking up in a sale somewhere.
This is one of my favourite games of all time. It was originally given to me as a birthday gift on the PlayStation, but I just HAD to get it and relive the whole experience all over again on the Series X. I just love how fun and humorous the cast of characters are and how great the gameplay experience and open world is. Yes, it’s very ‘Breath of the Wilds’ inspired like a lot of people are saying, but it really does stand alone as a game on it’s own.
Super fun, great controls, wide open world with interesting and funny characters (sassy Hermes is my favourite). A great gift for anyone into gaming and/or Greek mythology. (The DLC is also great fun and explores some of the Eastern gods). It’s also worthy to note that this is a pretty easy game to Platinum or 100% for trophy/achievement hunters.
So far one of the best games that I ever played in my xbox x.
Great story, really funny and pleasant to play. I must have for any fans of the mythological story.
I was put off buying this for ages as I had read reviews saying it was a clone/ rip off of Zelda breath of the wild. I loved Zelda but couldn’t justify buying this if it was so similar. Thankfully it’s not! Bought it when it was on offer and would have gladly paid full price, I play it with my 8yo and we both enjoy the puzzles and of course smashing the mythical beasts to pieces! The storyline and the mythical references are also very cool, I’ve learnt a few things along the way!
Really great game. Imo it’s breath of the wild with more fun and less open space to get lost in. It looks really colourful and inviting to all ages and is quite funny in parts.
I was given this game as a surprise for Christmas 2020 having known very little about it, by the 27th I had nearly 20 hours in. I’ve since 100% completed it after about 80 hours. The constant puzzles, enemy fights, Tartarus vaults, locations, mounts, weapons, armour and more had me hooked and I genuinely couldn’t put this game down. I don’t expect everyone to get the same mileage as me but I can’t recommend it enough.
It runs fantastically on the Series X and looks absolutely gorgeous easily one of my favourite games of the year and possibly ever.
PLOT…
Immortals Fenyx Rising brings grand mythological adventure to life. Play as Fenyx, a new, winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is a brilliant game, made by Ubisoft the team behind the Assassins creed and FarCry games. Rising is a big colourful lush open world adventure game where you get to explore and go on quests, hunt for treasure and farm materials, much like Assassins creed, your character will build in strength as the challenges become more intense. there are some puzzle solving games to test your brain too. if you love exploring and spending hours immersed in another world I highly recommend. Graphicly the game is utterly stunning, I mean its not a AAA game but its beautiful to look at, very funny, great lush cartoony at times graphics and so much charming fun. The photo mode is great, so many opportunities to get good screenshots, some of mine are in the attached images. Hours and hours of play here, The game has a very easy story setting up to a hard setting for more challenge, the achievements are fair and pop regular as you progress. A good game for young and old players.
If your playing on a 4K TV on a series X you get the best results as the game looks amazing.
This is a open world game that if you put the time in you will get the rewards, simple as that and it’s a pleasure to play.
Graphics are stunning and burst with colour and detail.
Sound is just pleasing to the ears with great music.
Gameplay is a steady flow of exploration with some puzzle tombs, battles and great boss battles. Plenty of treasure chests to find. Great leveling up system that focuses on all your resources.
On Xbox series X it runs beautifully smooth.
A wonderful game.
1st game bought for my series x and glad I did. Thoroughly enjoyable and a couple of people who have seen it have commented it us Zelda like which for me is a huge plus.
This game is excellent. Very fun and addictive, reminds me of breath of the wild. Good puzzles, lots of quests, some classical mythology and gorgeous scenery. And a good price too. So much more fun than cyberyawn and all this assassin games. Just gets a bit hard in some of the dungeons
As a lover of RPG type games I enjoyed the ability to be able roam the 3D world, collecting rewards and solving challenging problems.
I think the game is well structured and the world in which you play is absolutely massive.
I feel as though I’ve barely scratched the surface of this game as I’m still playing in the first of 5 world segments. With another 4 world segments to try out I’m going to playing this for some considerable time to come.
Well worth the money I’ve spent and thoroughly enjoying every minute of my playing time.
Playing on XsX
Its very different for a studio like Ubi and obviously heavily inspired by Zelda but also other games like Odyssey or Tsushima..
I can even sense a bit of Monster Hunter World vibes in it. I don’t see anything wrong with making a game that has many influences if the result is a solid new game and thats what it is.
The story and characters are funny. Not cringy Borderlands style funny but genuinely witty and clever with its modern world references and humor (the Amazon Tracking kit).
The campaign is long and will take awhile if you have a life.
Although Im not a huge fan of the constant puzzling, the rewards are cool.
Technically its amazing. First game on the XsX (I finished Valhalla already on my older xbox) and the graphics are out of this world. Such a beautiful game and no bugs whatsoever.
I can also see this as an excellent Switch game and will probably get that version in the future.
Enjoyable enough game which fans of Fable would enjoy, an open world, puzzle filled, baddie busting game with beautiful cartoon graphics however, apart from the opening level, pre credits, it seems awfully difficult to beat some of the initial antagonists even on ‘normal’ setting which I’ve been on, plus it’s quite hard to level up health and stamina too. Coupled with various gems, mushrooms, potions, pomegranates (yes – the fruit), needed to strengthen your character as you go along and the constant cut scenes and ‘god’ chatter, earmarks that it gets four stars because of it’s slow pace and would have got five it was quicker or got to the gameplay point faster. Having said that, there’s lots of quests, the puzzles are good and it’s fun if as I said, slow and hard going at times. One more whinge though, I’m not a fan of games that try to make you pay in game purchases, which I suspect is why it’s so tough to upgrade your character to stop ‘dying’ so much. Ubisoft and Microsoft need to stop milking gamers so much sometimes, so I’m sticking with four stars maximum.
This game is brilliant, just like a modern day Zelda a link to the past. It has combat, exploration, puzzles, bosses, collectibles and everything else that makes for a great open world game. As you can tell by the good reviews, many people are enjoying this underrated gem. I recommend you give it a go.
Been enjoying this foe 2 months now its fun with lots of nice bright colours and brings some cheer in lockdown Id say the only downside is the vaults/dungeon areas they are repetitive and full of platforms which I found frustrating and annoying other than that a really cool game
Excellent game….very much in the mould of the Assassins Creed titles…but sufficiently fresh in key areas. The open world game-play is a real asset this time and doesn’t feel empty or repetitive with exploration being very enjoyable. Aimed at maybe a younger player – but I’m a 47 year old fart – and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
