picture quality is superb for a cheap camera, the pan tilt function is great, zoom is only digital so works like enlarging a picture on your phone – still happy with this and would buy agai

Unbelievable value!

Pros:
-Controllable via smart phone left right, up and down with a privacy mode and a fair range of motion.
-1080 picture quality that’s fairly decent, looks nice and clear
-auto snaps human motion when it detects it and sends a pic to your device’s notification bar (fails sometimes)
-USB powered (comes with a UK plug adapter too) Much better connection quality than my previous
-wall/ceiling mount with screws (twists on and off included mounting bracket) & mountable upside down with an app setting to invert your picture.

Cons:
-Mic and speaker quality is lacking
-Subscription service for premium features (cloud saves etc)

Honestly for the price I paid, I cannot quite believe how good this is.

Amazing security camera, got it during the amazon day sale & am not disappointed at all, great picture quality, easy to use app & easy to set up. Love that its 360 viewing, has an alarm & microphone.

Really happy with this and is being used as an E1 replacement that continually lost WiFI connection and sometimes settings. Video quality is great for 1080p, object tracking with PTZ works really well and it’s been rock solid in WiFi terms since I set it up a week ago, it’s in a kitchen with a microwave and the other side of the house and down one floor from the router.

The mobile app could be better and removing the Imou logo is a pain but I’ve added screenshots/instructions for that and BlueIris settings for network and PTZ which both now work after some legwork.

Removing the watermark: You’ll need to download the Dahua app (yes, these are Dahua cams) for Windows/Mac (Google: Dahua config tool) and add the camera using the admin as username and the password on the base of the camera, (they call it safety code). You can change the password in the Windows/Mac app too. Select Device Config from the left and click the image tab and clear out text in the “Channel Name” box in the bottom right (see image), enter a space or two if you want it empty and click “apply to”. The watermark should be gone.

The pictures of this litle cam is beautiful the only small problem was the conection to wifi wich has been made with difficulty (because of the app). I used the app for iphone. Maybe for android is more easy.

Sturdy unit, good quality footage, lots of features. Download app and register and you can view live stream or historic footage from you device wherever you are. Didn’t sign up/pay for ‘cloud’ storage, just using SD card inserted into the device. It records up to 7 days footage before overwriting oldest. You can zoom, move camera remotely and use two way audio/speech function. Happy with this purchase.

Picture quality is very good in daylight and good at night time with the IR cam – especially bearing in mind it’s PITCH dark in the kitchen where our dogs sleep, but I’ve found most cams are really good now to be fair.
Where this shines compared to others we’ve had (including our existing other-make camera in a different room), is how ‘instantly’ the Live Feed appears when checking-in on them over the house-WiFi, and it only takes about a second when out and about on 4G.
Will definitely get another Imou cam if & when we require another…

Used as a pet camera. Simple to set up and use. The picture quality at 1080p is crystal clear both day and night. The speaker is quite loud enough to tell off the dogs!. Great buy at 25.

Are use this camera to spy on my cats when I’m out during the day because they get up to quite a lot. Overall it’s a great product for the money. The only thing I would have to complain about is the app notifications are so annoying and you get one for any little noise so I feel like if you had this for security reasons it wouldn’t be great. But for my use, it works pretty well and I just turn off my notifications in the app because I don’t need to be notified of anything.

Bought the basic Imou spy cam to keep an eye on our pet dog when we’re out. Personally, I don’t find it very user friendly as the different icons and menus are a bit confusing. I am an older person, but pretty good with tech of all sorts, I just find it a bit confusing to navigate around the app screens. However, it was not too hard to set up. I think I’d be better off with a battery powered unit for my purposes, as it’s a nuisance to position it usefully close to where my power sockets are. Video images are fine, audio picks up dog sounds, so it certainly does what it needs to. I save short video bursts to a micro SD card, but it also enables me to watch our dog live when we need to. I will probably find it easier to use with more practice. For me, four stars rating. Will look at more portable, cable-free units later on perhaps.

Great camera for the price .clear pictures and the options to stream in 480,720 or 1080p. All give great picture clarity. I have no bad pixelation issues.
Motion detection can sometimes be a bit off but really not often – not worth being an ‘issue’.
Please see my screengrab s for pic quality in 480p ( the most basic).
I’m super happy and will definately purchase more of these .

I wouldn’t say this is the perfect camera, but a camera for this price is phenomenal. So easy to set up, so easy to use, a lot of settings at your disposal; really good for the price. I have mine set up in my flat and when I leave I turn off the ‘privacy mode’ so it can record whilst I’m away. Good quality videos with a wide lens. You don’t have to pay for cloud storage as you can store it locally and access the videos through the app so easy. Sometimes the app gets a bit buggy and notifications don’t appear unless you refresh them on the app, but tends to happen for a few hours and then it’s back to normal with instant notifications when it detects motion. Would recommend this camera

I didn’t know there was a higher picture quality version of this camera. On eBay they’re the same price as the 1080p camera here on Amazon.

Otherwise, it’s fine. Stores all the recordings for viewing very well, using an SD card. Everything works fine without paying any extra for cloud storage, even auto tracking. Tapo don’t include this unless you pay for Cloud which is why I had this model.

Purchased to keep an eye on the puppy while out, picture quality is pretty good. Love the fact I can toggle the camera in quick view. The motion sensor is on point and so is the motion tracker all in all for the price tag I’d highly recommend

Image quality is pretty good given this camera’s price. I Bought it to keep an eye on my dogs and I had to be way and it was brilliant. I did even had a 30m chat with my neighbour who was looking over the dogs. Night vision is also pretty impressive. So far I can can only say that a wall attachment would be great . definitely buy another one if needed

Works well. Use to make sure mum is ok and carers on time. Camera wants you to sign up for cloud subscription which probably would more suit a business. Little in manual about recording and overwrite when chip full. The manual could be better. Happy with the quality and ease of set up. Movement sensor and night vision very good.
