Well its certainly value for money its a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Its very nice though and works well. Easy to set up and accurate. Not the easiest to store away because its so large (so check out the dimensions in description…which I didn’t when ordering) the plates under the weighing bowl do not store away unless you remove the screws each time, so this is more of an items to leave out on the work tops to display between usage.

It was the most reasonably priced (and well made) retro style scales. Others were cheaper but had a plastic adjustment knob etc. – this has a brass one. Feels good and is accurate. My only criticism is that it advertises non-sleep feet. Not true. The base has three “splayed out” areas (acting as feet) but there is nothing underneath them so the scales can slide and, since it is made of metal, can potentially scratch your worksurface. I had some adhesive felt pads which I put under the feet – does nothing about the sliding but does prevent scratching.
All in all – recommend.

Love the look and easy to read in large clear print mum elderly mum loves hers bought her one as she still cooks in ponds and ounces and her eyesight not what it used to be so winner all round

No more looking for new batteries or having to move the bowl to read the weight. These are solid and very easy to read with very clear numbers. You have no annoying chance of the weight going back to zero when you are half way threw weighing ingredients. They look fabulous in the kitchen a lovely addition to your essentials. OK so you can not leave them in a draw until use but you’ll love showing you new kitchen scales off.
They look sturdy and no nonsense, they do what they are ment to do you don’t need batteries and they are very easy to read. Go back to how grandma weighed her ingredients and forget the tiny scales that reset at the worst time possible. I love these kitchen scales you will too.

Works well. Easy to adjust the indicator hand which means you can use a bigger bowl than the metal one provided if necessary.
The wife loves it, can’t stop using it and I’m reaping the rewards.

Unfortunately my waistline isn’t!
I’d recommend these scales as they’re cheap and work well.

Good clear dial,that gives both metric and pound measures Very good for when old recipes are in Lbs and Ozs easily converted to metric recipes Very pleased with scales
