I was unsure how long this cover was going to lost given how windy it can get in my area. However, this cover has taken a beating for the past year and is still going strong. It went through all last winter with no issues. Not a single strap broke or cover torn.
We recently covered the pool before the recent tropics storm come through. No signs of anything broken or torn.
I normally take the pool down. I will now try keeping it up and using their cover.
Cover was very easy to put on. The winter will be a true test.
We have used this cover in the pastit lasted two yearswe have harsh wintersI was very impressed with it. Had to order a new one this yearseveral of the clamps do not workthe strap slips threw themthis is why I am not giving 4 starsI am hoping there are enough working straps to keep it in place
Fit perfectly and very easy to install. My only complaint is that it only lasted two seasons, had hope it would last longer. It did rip at a seam not far from a pole clasp.
This is the best cover!!! I have a different pool brand and it fits like a charm! I’m able to put on by myself. I would buy this again and again. We had some bad storms and it held on grea
I have tried other pool covers and this one is by far the best. Other covers came off every time the wind would blow but it did not even make this one shift. Great Pool cover–fits the Intek 18ft. diameter pool perfectly and it stays on, even in the wind. Great Product.
This is a great cover. Very heavy duty. The Coleman pool I bought has a cover that is way to small to fit on the pool. This one covers easily and has a great rope to secure it tight. The clips are great, but my pool legs are too big around for them.
Une bche de bonne qualit avec un systme de fixation trs efficace , plastique des colliers de fixations nanmoins cassant aprs longue exposition au soleil, durera 2 ou 3 saisons a mon avis, pas plus.
Wow! Love it! The holes through out help to get the cover on, especially for one person! Clips need a little love to not be so stiff in cooler weather, material is tough enough for our windy weather. Could not of asked for a better replacement cover.
Winterizing instructions say to drain and store the pool. After watching some YouTube videos, I highly mistrust the directions for keeping it nice that were included. Some say it stretches after you take the water out of it to store it and never fits right again. many people are saying it’s much more effective to drain it below the pump return holes and leave water in the pool at that level over the winter (still cover it if you have trees). That’s what we’re going to try to do this year with a cover. I’ll update if there’s something that’s major happening with it.
UPDATE: the second picture is 4 days after removing cover after winter! Stayed in place and no tears! Had quite a few HIGH wind storms and lots of rain this winter! Cold enough to freeze the pool!
Update: May 28,2022- Bought Sept. 2021 The cover is still on the pool but it has holes in it. I noticed the holes starting in March. The straps are still in tact and holding firm to the cover. I will have to replace it before fall. Bummed that the cover itself isn’t made that well because it’s such a good design. Not sure if I’ll buy another or try something else just because of the cost. It should last more than one winter at the price they charge but mine didn’t.
Anyway, still a great cover but only lasts one season and it has no warranty.
I just put this on today, by MYSELF! If you’ve ever tried to put the ones on that come with the pool, you’ll understand why I put myself in all caps ; It’s next to impossible. I wasn’t sure about the straps, but just with installation, they are perfect! If it all holds up and the straps don’t break away from the cover this is going to be a great buy. They should only put this kind of cover with the pool itself. Expensive but worth it so far.
Well, I’m glad I waited til I closed my pool to write a review. It did come quickly. The material is more tarp like, unlike others that are canvas, so not sure how long it’ll last. If you have a “power steel” pool, I have the Bestway Power Steel, you need to order larger than pool size. I ordered an 18′ for my 18′ pool. The power steel pool legs are heftier and oval shape and cover needs to go on actual leg instead of the “T” post and the 18′ is not big enough. If you have a regular metal frame, the white round legs, this will work, I believe, but not on the beefier power steel pools unless you upsize. We will see how it holds up. The nylon rope is 3/8-1/2 inch and is much easier to use than the traditional smaller rope or metal cable. Also the where you cinch the rope, they’ve included a handy little gadget to help tighten and hold rope tight. Hope this helps.
I have had one of these pool covers before and they are excellent. They have tie downs by clips on the pool uprights and these keep the cover well in place. My only problem has been with pigeons who insist on siting on the cover pecking at it and eventually making a hole hence my need for a new one.
1. It is lightweight, therefore easy to pull off the pool.
2. It has enough holes all around to let the water fall thru to the pool. Water does not accumulate much on the cover.
3. It has more than a rope tie, such as plastic clips which fasten to the pool post to double secure the cover on the pool.
I do not like the following.
1. The plastic clips do not line up correctly with every pool post, so I can only attach one side or end so to speak, very well. The other sides or ends cannot be attached to the poles or very few of them.
2. The price is high for me.
Overall, I like this lightweight tarp cover, which is also silver on both sides. Additionally, I was thinking of buying a roller or making one to roll up the cover. But I instead created a “cradle” for it at one end and this works very well. I bought five 1-1/2 inch plumbers y’s, a bag of ?-4 inch tightening bands, and one ten foot 1-1/2 pipe, which I had cut to 5 two foot sections. With the metal bands, I fastened the 1-1/2 ys to five of the posts on one side, and added the two foot pvc pipes in each one. A v shaped cradle for about 25 dollars. It works great. Now I can pull it off and slink it back on with ease (and store it in the cradle), especially since this cover is so crinkly light.
Enjoy, Patrick
