We got the pool last year with the filter and it simply wasn’t up to the task. It simply lacked the power to the point where the water struggled to be pumped through it. Bought this pump this year and it’s perfect. It does its job, isn’t overly noisy and no problems after nearly 2 months of use
I upgradge my tiny filter that came with my huge 10ft pool to this one, was a bit worried due to mixed reviews, but it’s brilliant once you know the best way to fit it, like one reviewer said push the tubes right over so the black seals don’t actually sit in the slits ( mine was leaking a small amount with the black seals in the correct place, but push the pipes all the way onto the filter and use clips to seal and no leaks) so much power than one provided with pool and can filter pool in a few hours rather than overnight long pipes too so don’t have to have filter right next too pool. Wish I upgraded sooner.
I bought this pump almost two months ago but only had the chance to set it up now as weather is finally looking good. I am using this for an above ground 10ft Intex Pool. I was initially worried that I would get a faulty pump or not assemble it correctly and damage the pump. However, it wasn’t as hard as I thought to assemble it. A tip from me would be to lay out all the parts and tick it off the list (on the manual) to make sure you have everything in order before assembling. It’s a very good pump and very quiet. You can only hear like a soft purring sound when it’s switched on. Just remember to vent the air out with the water running before switching it on for the first time. I highly recommend this.
It’s so will you setting up properly and take good time trust me there is a Heat match you need to buy for it try and get there 80 pound one is a bit more expensive but it will make the wonders
Got a 12ft pool and the small filter it came with is useless but this one is fantastic. You can actually see the water swirling around so it takes the chlorine floater around the pool in a circle
We swapped the small pump that came with our 4m by 2m pool for this one. It’s perfect for larger pools, easy to set up, and hasn’t broken in a month of constant use.
Was happy as came complete with Hoses, Clips and 1 filter.
Belts out the H20 (my bubble cover ends up bunched up on the other side of our 10″ pool)
I could wee harder than the poxy thing that came with the pool originally, so this is a decent worthwhile upgrade.
Absolutely fantastic, after looking at hundreds of pool pumps I came across this one and the reviews were great. I couldn’t be happier my 12 ft summer waves pool is crystal clear and it fit perfect. I highly recommend this pump to anyone who is looking for a replacement.
It doesn’t keep my 2000 gallon pool crystal clear of surface debris and dirt as the suction isn’t that great but the output is really powerful and keeps the water circulating at a good rate. I know filter pumps can be a bit confusing for first time buyers so I also wanted to say that this pump works on all brands of small to medium (0 – 2500 gallon) pools. I use this for my Bestway pool. It’s also pleasantly quiet and gives off a nice low humming sound that you’d expect to hear poolside at a hotel. Overall I’m happy.
we purchased this to replace the pump that came with the 12ft best way pool purchased last year which gave up the ghost. Purchased this more powerful pump as we wanted to use it with the led waterfall filter given us as a Christmas present last year. The pump is very powerful and the pool has never looked cleaner and it has stabilised the water. Great delivery and on time .
A good pump/filter for the price. The jet out is quite powerful but the suction could be better takes hours to clear even minor debris. I ended up getting in and doing most of it with a net. The bonus of a powerful jet stream out the pool is it blows my little UFO chlorine dispenser around so the water stays clear. It will do for the few weeks of hot weather we get. And yes the pump was primed and installed correctly.
Bought as replacement for OEM pump supplied with 10ft round pool. The new pump is twice as tall as the old one and much more powerful. Plus it adds air bubbles thanks to the aeration function. Pool has remained clean after a month of use. Instruction were not very clear. When connecting the tube work it first looks as though the rubber seal on the connecters should sit in the recess in the pipework but doing this just causes leaks. Pushing the rubber seals passed the recess stops the leaks and makes the clasps easier to affix. 1 month on… No leaks and no adjustments needed. Being in the pool with your back to the outlet is quite relaxing!
So I got a small pump with my pool and it didn’t do the job well at all. But since I got this new one it has worked brilliantly water flowing, filtering really well and with it being connected to my heater I haven’t had on problem yet.
Definitely recommend so no one knows this isn’t a false review I have posted a video to prove how good it is
After struggling all last summer with the rubbish pump that came with our pool, I decided to invest in a new one. This one is great. The difference is noticeable immediately. It’s no louder than the smaller one we had and has made a world of difference.
Brilliant pump. I use it with my Intex 3m x 2m frame pool and it’s filters the water perfectly. Love the aeration, you see the jet of bubbles coming back into the pool and it’s pretty powerful!
Works as it should, puts through a lot of water, but not with much pressure… doesn’t really have enough power to work the skimmer and sprayer very well.
Great for filtering though. Keeps pool clear.
I’m so so happy with my pump, I have waited a month of using, before I wrote this review as I wanted to give a true review as I know how hard it is to get the correct pumps, chemicals heaters etc, anyways I brought this for my 12ft pool as Im was always able to keep the chemicals spot on however my pool would always look cloudy after a week, I purchased a hover which helped but never as clear as I 1st day I fill her up, I brought numerous chemicals and then I spoke to a pool specialist who advised getting a bigger pump and just like that it’s crystal clear all the time now best thing I have brought in a long time
Pump works a treat on our 3x2m Intex pool doesn’t take long to filter all the pool water
*We had upgraded to this pump to use with a Intex skimmer but this pump does not have a flow rate of above 800 gallons per hour unlike the title will have you believe so don’t make the same mistake I did if your buying the Intex skimme
It pumps the water through nicely. You can feel a reasonably strong flow coming back into pool, and it collects a lot of debris at the sucking end.
Our pool is 3mx75cm high (round)
…… I see price has gone up, I paid 65 pounds.
Bought this to replace the pump that came with our pool, which is a bit puny.
This pump is great, and delivers a huge throughput, and aerates the water. Obviously that means it’s a bit more noisy, and probably costs a fortune to run, but the water has stayed much clearer for longer with this beast chomping through it.
It uses larger Type A filters too, and these seem to last much longer before needing to be replaced.
Fitting isn’t all that straight-forward. Be warned that the instructions are ropey and the fittings are all very tight. It is not a 2 minute job upgrading to a new pump, although it should be.
A very small dash of washing up liquid is a good lubricant.
I bought the pump off-season, and it was cheaper than it is today.
Obviously won’t be using it until the summer, my other pump packed up at the end of last summer so this will be a replacement, can’t knock the price 40 for the pump, filter, hoses and all the fittings to attach to your pool, bargain if you ask me
Great pump, much more powerful than the previous one, HOWEVER after a few hours the pressure dropped off to virtually nothing. Tried reinstalling and playing with the air release valve but still very little pressure. Then took out the filter, cleaned it and reinstalled and the full pressure was restored. The pool was fairly dirty and this happened a couple of times in the first couple of days, so I thought I would mention it as although the trouble shooting guide says to replace the cartridge if dirty, it’s one of a list of remedies , so I thought this may be useful to know.
