If you have not used this type of vacuum before its worth checking Y-tube for instruction on how the fill the hose. The kit is meant for a much bigger pool than mine but I still think its excellent value for money. Adding a finer filter bag to the vacuum stops very small stuff heading for the pump. Reducing the length of the hose makes it easier to handle and gives you some spare hose.
Used to keep debris out our paddling pool especially from the neighbours tree. Water stayed nice and clean, obviously with the help of chlorine. Only problem I found is if the paddling pool is already full as you have to attach the brush part to hose pipe to help collect debris from the bottom of the pool.
With my 8500l/h pump just sucking dust ,fit with bestpool water outlet perfectly just make sure you got outlet”filter”with screw to remove filter cap .dislike- at my 12ft pool 80cm deep sucking pipe sometimes catch air and pump slow down or just need small rewers
Omgoodness…amazing product for the price, so pleased I read the reviews by others, and agree how good it is. Definitely would buy again if I need too! And would definitely recommend, sucked up all the debris at the bottom of my above ground pool!
for the price i was skeptical on buying this, you would think because of how cheap, the ‘hoover’ wouldn’t work, but to my surprise i recommend this massively, we’re constantly fighting the debris in our pool bcus there’s a tree next to it behind the fence, but once the debris is all settled, with patience it’ll suck it all up. obviously if u move it to fast it’ll disturb the settled debris which will cause it to float around the water. another review mentioned how they put a sock around the little net that catches all the debris to stop smaller bits from escaping which we’ve done ourselves, i do recommend to check your hose can reach to the other end of ur pool but other then that it’ll work a gem.
Why do people complain about the suction? How would you expect something that connects to the filter pump to have a high suction? Take your time moving it over the bottom of the pool and it does a good job. Better than using a hose attached one that puts cold water into your pool, the filter type uses the water in your pool that has been warmed slightly by the sun. Only thing is to keep emptying and cleaning the trap bag and the filter in the pump if you’ve got lots of detritus in your pool from kids in and out all the time. The skim net could do with being finer mesh as doesn’t catch all the little midges that end up in the water.
Such a great product….sucks up debris from the bottom really well and it all collects in the little bag. Really happy with this and a bargain for the price! Haven’t used the net yet but it looks pretty good too.
I liked this kit. Took me a couple of days to get the hang of getting the airtight suction – if you follow the directions of putting the head in first then feed the tube into the water straight down it works very well 😉
It loses a star for me as the skimmer attachment is wide woven, so picks up big bugs and leaves but the fruit flies will pass right through.
Bought for our paddling. Good strong pole. So much better than the cheap sectional bendy (and eventually broken) one it replaced. Holding it with handle to the right, each section unscrews away from you and tightens towards you. The skimmer is large, quite deep, with a good fine mesh so you can capture everything. The vacuum head is quite small. I didn’t have a hose connector to fit it’s male fitment last time, so had to use my old one with the bendy pole. Sorted now and fingers crossed it will clean up OK, so only gave it 3 stars for that until I know for sure.
I think some people expect a lot from pool vacuums but if you see how slowly an expensive cleaning robot moves around with huge pump powering it you realise that vacuuming underwater is not the same as cleaning a carpet. You have to be patient or you end up stirring up the debris away from the floor.
The net is not best quality as it is just glued onto the frame but not bad for the price of the set really.
Was pretty dubious about the vacuum but it actually works really well!!
Only downside to using it in my pool is we didn’t get the bottom of the pool completely smooth when we set it up, so the vacuum gets stuck on all the ridges! Still picks up though, just a little more awkward to do.
The hoover part is great, cleans the pool really well but can take a little time but we did leave for a few days. The net was rubbish and it broke after a couple of uses, so brought a better sturdier one.

To clean my Intex pool. I found the equipment felt quite flimsy. I also found that having to empty the filter net was difficult as the unit has to be taken out of the water, emptied of debris then filled with water again before I could continue with the clean. Surely intex could design this problem out of the product.
For the price it’s not a bad kit, does the job, has all you need to clean an above ground pool. However my only gripe is the suction hover assembly does come apart sometimes when using and takes a while to fill the suction connection hose with water, apart from those small issues does the job, probably better than the intex auto pool cleaner. I have both, but I can still recommend this kit.
Excellent piece of kit, only used once so far but worked a treat. Managed to get all debris from the bottom surface of the pool. I understand it would work even better with a higher GPH pump as the product description states, I believe my pump is only 530gph but still managed to collect up the debris.
I recommend this item for pool maintenance.
On a completely separate note the only issue I have had is the delivery experience as shown in the picture. My item was inappropriately chucked over my garden wall, luckily we was not in the garden and this hit my child! Nothing to do with supplier. Amazon and delivery company informed.
I read the mixed reviews before buying, but still went ahead. Glad I did. I hooked it up to my pump and a after a little bit of patience and taking things slow found the suction system works pretty well. My pool is pretty small so makes it easier. Can I imagine I might find takes too long if I had a bigger pool.
I read reviews all the time but never leave reviews, This product was soooooo amazing I had to. I’ve had my pool up 7 days and the pump is knackered so I’ve been cleaning manually daily, hard work. This product popped up when I was looking for a new pump and for the price I thought I’d give it a go. Incredible I tell you, the net is standard and does what it says on the box, good for leaves and bits that fall in, not good for the tiny bits of scum. The vacuum though is amazing, simply plug your hose in to it and move slowly, small tip, get in your pool and walk quickly round the perimeter to cause a spiral effect 5 or 6 times and get out, this way the dirt and stuff will gather together in the middle, Less to vacuum, highly recommend
I have an intex 10 foot metal framed pool. After some fairly windy weather a lot of debris ended up on top of my solar cover and most ended up in the pool when I removed it. Bought this bit of kit but to be honest I didn’t hold much hope for the vacuum. Turns out it’s great! Easy to assemble, and attach to hose (I have a hoselock superhoze). It quickly cleared up every last bit of mess from the bottom of the pool, and the net/skimmer made quick work of the surface. I’m really impressed and so glad I bought this!
This product looks a bit plastic and you have doubts about its effectiveness but the pool vacuum does work. But do make sure you get the air out of the hose. The net is good but would have liked a smaller net mesh to be more effective. But between the vacuum and I also bought the skimmer, the pool is well cared for.
This product works great it all depends on the power of you’re pump and it is difficult at first submerging the entire hose which is very long and can’t be shortened it does get all the little bits off the bottom but it takes a very long time the net isn’t the best it only is good for big pieces like leaves ( we used a net from the beach for little bits) it is a good product and does what is required but not the easiest to use till you get the hang of i
If I had one issue with this kit I would say the netting on the net needs to be smaller as the holes are a little too big for some of the floating stuff. Other than that it’s a fab kit and a must for a pool owner.

The vac is easy to use and the suction is enough for my above-ground pool (10ft easy-up), the attachment that keeps the hose in place makes it so much easier when using. The net is made of high quality materials and I’m confident that it will last for more than 1 season (unlike all the other I’ve tried). Cannot recommend highly enough. It arrived on time and packaging was perfect. I am so impressed I have used it every day, as a pleasure instead of a chore!
I wasn’t sure this would work, unfortunately my pump isn’t powerful enough for an automatic cleaner.
This however has surpassed my expectations. Everything You need is in the box, set up is very easy. Ensure that the hoover housing is clicked in correctly, and take your time whilst hoovering the bottom of the pool.
We keep our pool up over the winter (winterising it) so with the warmer bank holiday weather looming I decided now is the time to open it up and get it ready. On the bottom there was lots of bits (flys, leaves, hair and algae) all of which after a few hours have been hoovered up. The small net does a brilliant job at stopping as much debris going into the filter cartridge. It does need to be taken out and cleaned regularly (depending upon how dirty the bottom of the pool is!)
There are a couple of downsides, the hoover head could be bigger (it takes ages as it is small) and the hoover housing is very heavy when your lifting it out of the water.
This summer my pool is going to look amazing because I’m going to be able to keep it much cleaner!
The design of the vacuum in this kit is so much better than the ones I have had in the past that have the bag unit you lock into the skimmer..
This one is built into the head of the unit and the hose goes straight into the inlet in the side of the pool..
The vacuum has 2 heads as opposed to the usual one, a brushed head (smaller than in past kits) that works better than others I have had and a fantastic nozzle head that gives you a great amount of suction..
The net and broom attachment along with the pole have changes very little but they have always been good..
Overall a great set.
Not only that but the seller was excellent, regular emails on the status of my order which arrived very quickly, they also gave me an hour slot on the day of when it would arrive. Overall extremely happy with product and service.
Pros:
The vacuum function is surprisingly effective. Easily picks up leaves and cleans the green slime that had accumulated (should’ve used chlorine!).
Poles extend very easily and is pretty robust so should last
We haven’t got great water pressure, but it still worked well on our hose
Cons:
The filter bag the leaves collect in is a bit fiddly and not very well made so I can see this either getting lost or damaged
You don’t really get much for you money. Not sure what I expected, but if I’d have seen it in the flesh before purchasing, I’d have thought twice
