Delivered really quickly.
Packaging for this is very nice. This is my first time spending more than 20 euro for a watch so it did met my expectations.
But one of the spring bars was not seated properly into the case so I had to whip out my tools and push it in carefully. Other than that no issue. Time will tell how good this watch really is.
So my invicta speedway came today i purchased it on friday 28th of April and my package came on the 29th i paid for Express delivery. Upon opening the watch was very well packaged and wrapped in plastic for extra care. I had to remove two links from the bracelet as it was abit slack on my wrist but it’s very comfortable now and feels very secure with the double clasp lock. Also it’s a nice weight, not to heavy nor to light, For anyone thinking about buying one I’d certainly recommend it.
Found this on amazon warehouse for for 24-00! So took a chance already having several automatic Invictas.
All of which have screw down crowns aiding” waterproofing ” for some reason Invictas quartz range don’t have screw down crowns putting at doubt any waterproof claims.
This Speedway actually does have a screw down crown and stop watch pushers.
For what I paid absolutely no complaints, whether I’d pay full rrp, not sure but for a homage Daytona it looks the part.. Update…. Watch started to stop at random suspecting battery opened it up and battery wasn’t seated right, reason for update, there is no rubber sealing ring despite being a screw back case and with a claimed 100m waterproofing , a missing seal isn’t a good idea!
The watch itself is great, it’s kept the time no problem, have switched out the strap for a leather one but bracelet is still pretty good. It looks gorgeous and saved me about 60k on a Rolex Daytona. My only issue is that I would have liked a bigger case, the 39mm is a bit on the smaller side for my 7.5inch wrist.
Beautiful watch, bought it for myself as a treat, it makes such a big impact for a very reasonable price. It’s a tribute to the Rolex Daytona so the styling is on point. Its not exactly a phantom brand, Invicta has been around since 1837! It’s got a good weight to it, definitely not flimsy but not too heavy either. The clasp feels strong and secure. Would definitely recommend buying it. Looks the part for sure. Will be buying the 36545 (Pepsi) soon.
Over the last ten years I’ve have probably had 20-30 Invictas.
I buy a lot of top of the range seiko’s and I have a Tag Heur Formula one which I wear for special occasions.
These watches are fantastic value for money and the quality is great too.
I have had 2 of these watches in different colours that I ended giving away to relatives. ANd wished I’d kept one.
Thats why I bought one last week.
Only thing that stopped me giving it 5 stars was the clasp, which on this model is a little bit cheap quite thin and difficult to open.
This will ease and be better once its been worn in a bit.
But if you dont have long finger nails its kind of hard to open once on.
Other than that I would buy another tomorrow looks fantastic and the blue compliments the silver and gold.
Is it a Rolex Daytona? No. Is it a fantastic watch with the look and feel of a Rolex Daytona at a fraction of the price? Absolutely!
This is my third Invicta watch and all have represented great quality at a very modest price point. One thing I will say is the official stock photos NEVER represent the actual watch! From the photo you would assume the gold is a matt gold-tone of some sort but it is in fact proper bright 18ct gold plating. The brushed stainless steel parts of the watch have an almost gun metal grey appearance which really sits well against the bright gold plating. The case sides are polished to silver mirror finish and the Invica logo is engraved on the left side (perhaps unnecessary). The movement is a quality Japanese component and the chronograph works faultlessly, with 24h, lapsed seconds and minutes (stopwatch). Crown and pushers are screwed to provide water resistance but this is something I’m unlikely to need on this particular watch. I’d assume showering and swimming would be absolutely no problem though. The bracelet is comfortable, well made and adjustable both by removable links and a micro adjustment on the secure, reliable clasp.
In conclusion this watch is definitely worth the price paid and looks and feels of high quality. Comes in Invicta’s usual yellow watch box which has a nice presentation feel with warranty ect as well as giving the watch plenty of protection during transit. If you like the watch buy it, the quality speaks for itself!
After five years of non stop wearing of my Invicta pro diver, though it still gets admiring enquiries, I thought I would treat myself to this one. The Speedway is Invictas version of the Rolex Daytona, whereas the pro diver is their version of the Submariner. The pins on this watch were a pig to get out but i managed it eventually, but i would recommend you buy a good quality pin removal tool if you need to take out a link,as my cheap one broke during the excercise. In regard to the watch I would say that the quality of the finish is still up to Invictas usual standard and the time keeping is immaculate. I thought before it arrived that it might be a bit on the big side, but it actually looks slightly smaller on than the pro diver; though the case size is actually the same. This is an ideal watch for “going out” as it is a bit blingy. A second hand Rolex with similar tones will cost you 11,000, so I reckon these are a snip at under 100
I have nothing but praise for this watch it certainly looks a lot more expensive than its actual price tag suggests. The watch came fully wrapped in protective plastic with no marks or scratches on watch/bracelet as some other reviewers have said, everything works perfectly and seems solid to the touch.
The watch has some weight to it which gives it a quality feel and with the 18ct gold plating on the watch face and bracelet just gives it that wow factor. Whenever i have been wearing the watch which is mainly formal occasions I always get a compliment on the watch and people ask if its a Rolex Daytona as from a few feet away the invicta looks very close indeed. I really cannot fault this watch and is an added bonus to my growing collection and would certainly recommend to purchase.
Purchased the “INVICTA-9211” model for my older brother as a gift. The watch definitely had a plastic look to it, rather than a metal look. I’m surprised as it was stainless steel and stated so on the watch strap. Anyway, the face was stunning to look at and looked very expensive. My mum was sure I had invested a lot in it. The feel of it as stated, was plastic although I wasn’t too worried about that. It came too big for my brothers wrist (he has a smaller wrist) links were removed by my local store in no time and did not appear to be a problem for the store. The watch enables you to set the date and will change every 24 hours according to what the date is which is handy. The watch is water resistant to 200m however, my brother only ever washed his hands and got it wet and it still works perfectly. The good thing is that it actually comes in a nice presentation box and can be bought in various different shades.
i bought this in July 2014, it’s a very nice looking watch with a nice heavy feel, only had one problem with it, i needed to replace a retaining pin on the strap because it broke. but i wear it daily so some wear and tear is inevitable, had no problems since. i have not worn it in the shower or been underwater with it so can’t comment there but it supposedly goes down to 200m so should be fine. The silver bit around the main face (with numbers on) and the strap is a little scratched but the face itself looks great, so some good glass.
This is my first Invicta and I decided to get one on the basis of previous reviews. This watch has a great quality and solid feel about it and exudes the air of a very expensive watch. All the hands line up properly too. It does look like a Rolex Daytona except that this has a date window. The gold plating is excellent and contrasts well with the blue dial. The Invicta engraving on the side of the case is a classy touch. A colleague at work has a bi-metal TAG Heuer Aquaracer and this is every bit as high quality, except I paid less than 10% of what he paid for his. My next watch may well be another Invicta.
To be honest, I bought this as a cheap buck, 60 is an absolute killer, It’s a great watch too. If i want knit picking; I would say the screws on the chrono buttons make it sometimes a slow chore to wind also quartz movement can be a little loud in bed hearing the in the ear since i sleep with mine on lastly if you’re into chunky watches, its fairly sized but not to the big side. But on that note, i bought a new 98B142 Bulova and it’s fantastic. If you want your self a little something the invicta is a nice little piece that is not a travesty to get a little scratch (It does’t scratch easy either).
This watch is an beautiful item, very well built and is one of the best bargains I have ever had on Amazon, i had to remove 4 links to fit me but when i did it fits exactly right for me, I have had experience where a watch is too loose and taking off one link makes it too tight, this one is perfect and if you do have that problem with your wrist and this watch it thoughtfully includes minor adjustment pins on the clasp – bracelet links so you can adjust accurately to what seems to be half or quarters of a link lengths. I have read some reviews complaining about the second hand indexing in the middle of each mark but this is complete bollocks, mine was off slightly when I bought it but you can adjust it easily with the buttons on the side, read the short manual that comes with it and you will see how to adjust the hands.
Overall this watch is stylish, durable and comfortable to wear. it is bigger than the picture shows and has decent weight without it being difficult to wear, taking off some links makes mine about 160g so its in between light and comfortable and a big chunky watch.
I bought this watch as a gift for my boyfriend. I noticed that the second hand doesn’t point seconds correctly in the left half of the dial (point between seconds), but anyway it still counts down 30 seconds. Instruction manual doesn’t cover this model but the only difference is the right chronograph dial which shows whether the hour is AM or PM, while in the manual it has a different function that could be adjusted. I’m very happy with this purchase; it’s a beautiful watch, quite heavy but not too big (ladies could wear it too). Chain is very long and needs a couple of links to be removed.
This is my first invicta watch, and I was a bit sceptical about the price vs quality issue. But I must say this is a beautiful watch, big heavy and catches the light brilliantly, giving the bling effect. A friend of mine has a 7500 Rolex and various other very very expensive watches,he was the first person to see it when I wore it out,and he was adamant that I paid quite a bit for it.
The instructions are not too clear on how to set up the watch .took me about 15mins fiddling around with it and I noticed the second hand is slightly off the mark when ticking. Other than that this watch is absolutely worth the money and more, I will be getting another invicta next week.
Also, one more thing .. I ordered it on a Saturday night after a few beers( you know how it is ..internet shopping) it turned up Monday morning which was amazing.
I read all the reviews before ordering this watch, so I was fully aware that the second hand could not be zeroed in the stop watch mode, only the two small dials are used for chronograph function. Lost a star for the second hand not aligned with the full second marks on the dial, its half way between each second. Bracelet was plenty big enough, had to remove 4 links to make it fit. Register the guarantee on line (get an extra year making 3 years in total) at the Netherlands service centre not the USA one which wants an up front payment of 28 Dollars when you send it back, if purchased in Europe no prepayment is required. The finish of the watch is of a high quality, including the bracelet, the bezel doesn’t rotate on this model and I am still trying to work out how the “tachymeter” function works. As far as accuracy goes, it has gained just over one second in a week which equates to about one minute in a year. Don’t forget to screw the crown and other buttons back in after setting the hands etc otherwise waterproofing will be comprised.
Update, Wikepedia have an explanation of the tachymeter function:-

Not being one to spend money unless I have to, it was with some regret that I decided to dispense with my Seiko Kinetic which I had had for about 10 years. However, not being very practical, it was not for me to change the capacitor myself so I asked about this at a local watch repair outfit. Being informed that it would cost 180 for servicing etc. the decision was made. I looked at a number of watches and also followed the reviews, hoping to find a similar ‘kinetic’ type of watch. Reading prices of sensibly priced ones I was put off by the comments about poor timekeeping so decided against that. this was reinforced when an acquaintance confirmed that his new Seiko watch of the type I had been looking at lost too much time each week. looking again for a good priced, good-looking watch I was impressed by this one and, when it arrived I was not disappointed. It was chunky and felt quite substantial and all that was needed was for the bracelet strap to be reduced. My only gripe (and this is general) is that instructions, even though simple and largely intuitive, are so often in a booklet for several different variations and it is always frustrating to look through. That said, it really is quite simple and in the two weeks or so I have had the watch it has kept excellent time and appears to be good value and I would recommend it.
I bought this watch because I had previously bought another Invicta watch and liked it . This is a splendid watch with a quartz movement which keeps exact time . The other one has an automatic movement but I wanted something that I could get out of the drawer and put on without resetting everything. This has a very nice face and has three dials these are seconds for stopwatch function , minutes for the same and a twenty four hour dial. The bezel has tachymeter markings but that is just for show and there is NO tachymeter facility, and the sweep second hand does nothing but tick away the seconds in any mode . If you want a tachymeter then you will have to look elsewhere and watches with that on are getting scarce. That is why I gave only four stars .
I have had this watch just short of a week and therefore I am not in the position to review its reliability, however, so far so good. As another reviewer mentioned, the second hand does not align 100% with the minutes bars, but I have noticed this peculiarity in other watch brands I own, so it is a matter of whether you can live with this (should it happen to your watch) or not. In this case, the misalignment is minute and hence hardly noticeable.
I find the watch very confortable to wear, I do not find it heavy or too light, but this is a personal matter.
I purchased two Invicta Speedway and an Invicta Pro Diver. So far very happy with the purchase, only time will tell whether they last or not.
As I’m only a student, 68 is a lot of money to me to spend on a watch. Saw this offer on amazon reduced from 375, sat up umming and ahhing for about 2 hours before I finally thought YOLO and placed the order.
Arrived in 2 days, very pleased with that. Everything about the watch screams out quality, from the weight, to the build, to the links all being individually engraved “INVICTA” on the inside. Subtle class. Receive compliments from everyone I bump into, one of my mates is keen on his watches and spent about 20 minutes examining it yesterday in awe. Made me feel quite pleased with myself.
Genuinely ecstatic that I bought this, I enjoy it every minute of every day! Will post a picture on the customer images section above. Hope this helped!
PS there’s a video of the watch on youtube so you can get a proper look at it, but Amazon won’t let me link it. Search for the title “Invicta Watches: Professional Speedway 9223 (Rolex Daytona look-alike)” by a channel called “KeepTheTime”.
For those in doubt as to whether Invicta (currently heavily discounted on Amazon) is a reliable watch brand, I would suggest that their watches are of very high quality given the relatively low price tags. Albeit I am overall very happy with this purchase – and the watch itself is undoubtedly very attractive and well built, there are a few niggles and gripes; although these are minor. Firstly, the clasp which secures the two halves of the bracelet is incredibly stiff (and shows no signs of slackening off. Also, although it is easy enough to adjust the time, the date function is difficult to change as when the crown is rotated it doesn’t easily come to rest in the correct position.
In general, however, I love the watch and will be wearing it a lot in the coming months. The face is particularly attractive and the bracelet is nice, too, although it is easily smeared with finger prints.
For all who have questions and are considering purchasing this watch, please do not hesitate to leave a comment to this review and I will endeavor to answer any queries to the best of my knowledge.
so this watch is a direct copy of the Rolex Daytona, which is no bad thing.
The watch face is 4cm diameter, which might be small for some, but looks great for formal occasions or with a suit/shirt tie combo.
200m water resistant so you can go swimming/diving with it. Seems robust though the strap can get scratched easily as I have done already.
for what you pay you cannot really complain, it looks great, looks expensive, people instantly think its more expensive than it is.
One let down is the chrono function….. I believe a previous version of this watch did a better job of it, but it does still work well enough.
recommended, and is a good watch to wear when you want to give your expensive watches a break (e.g. worried about damaging them, as I was with my Tag F1).
cheers
