Like: Handy size with added bonus of robust carrying handle. Water graduation marks allow you to keep track of intake. No internal straw to retain germs/fungal spores.
Dislike. Well designed catch used to lock lid is easily broken there are no spares available.
Smooth to the touch, easy pouring from spout. Great locking lid when unlocked you still need to click button firmly to open so doesnt open on its own, but great that you can lock when in a bag to prevent spilld. Red is lovely and vibrant looking colour. Can see through as like a fristing. Use for gym. Dishwasher safe. Fits nicely in all cup holders at gym and in car. I also have the stronger metal version of this for working in outdoors because I like the design so much.
I have tried to find a bottle with a decent spout where a part does not go up or against your nose. This is brilliant. It fits well in cup holders too.

Hard to describe in words but the little features it has makes the bottle worth buying.
Got the 2.0 version and happy with it and worth the difference from 1.0 version which I already have. Light weight, no leak bottle and colour (light pink) as shown in photo. Delivered quickly too.
Only con is that the coloured outside coating scratches off easily when I put this in my cup holder where I store this on my walks. But I knew that from my other bottle I purchased so still 4 stars.
I have been using my original Ion8 bottle for a long time before it broke. So I decided to purchase this new version and it looks great, the quality also seem better although there was not a problem with the original. It feels more robust and like it will last even longer.
Had to replace a previous bottle as my daughter lost it in the last few weeks of school. Up to that point it had lasted the school year better than any other bottle we’ve had. No leaks and didn’t look battered. Highly recommend!
Love the colour , ideal for work or lunchbox . Holds 500ml and is slim enough to fit in cup holder in car if required. Doesn’t have that plastic smell or taste some water bottles have.

I bought this for short day hikes 10 Miles or less. It was easy to use, & keep clean. Obviously as the day goes on the water warms up but that’s OK. I bought a smaller one to use around the house. Colour isn’t important so I just got the one that was best value. If any problems arise I’ll update the review but so far so good.
I like this product. It’s comfortable to hold and it’s shape means it fits well in a rucksack with other stuff. My only gripe is that if you have it in a particulart position water comes out the air hole and you get water on your face. I prefer to drink out a bottle that has an inbuilt straw so it doesn’t get my top vote but it’s a good all-rounde
Not as easy to operate as the last gen. The leak proof is excellent but it is now a two step op. Also couldn’t get the handle out with a single hand. Still a good water bottle, though.
These are great on the go, the clip on the button reduces the risk the lid will accidentally pop open in your bag. They are hard wearing and have survived being dropped multiple times. The design makes them easy to clean.
Some water bottles we’ve found the water starts to taste spur of plastic after a few hours. Not the case with these, no funny taste.
Great product, only downside is I consider them at the higher end of the price range for a product like this
The bottle was great…at first. But why is there a little hole above the main drinking hole? If drinking at certain angles you will get some spillage. In this heat it doesn’t matter, but I am tempted to use some cellotape to cover it. Otherwise, the bottle is great to carry with the handle and I will have to learn to drink less enthusiastically.
Other than that, it’s ideal for gym use as I can quickly grab and take a drink one handed, and not worry about a spill if it gets knocked over. My previous gym drink bottle had a screw lid – totally leakproof, but needed two hands to open and then close (I have others that would also be leak-proof, and one-handed, but their size and weight aren’r quite as good).
This bottle is excellent for one-handed use as a sports bottle; the locking mechanism works really well and is satisfying to use, the nozzle makes drinking very easy and water flows smoothly as your drinking it. This might sound silly but as a drinking experience I can’t really think of a way to improve it. It’s also really easy to clean as you can get to all of the parts easily and all of the soft components that contact the water can dry easily, avoiding the potential for black mould that I’ve experienced with other bottles.
The so-so:
The bottle is leak-proof, at least 99% of the time. I’ve had one occasion where the nozzle gasket got unseated slightly and wouldn’t seal, but that was easy enough to remedy. The main issue is that occasionally the lid gasket gets slightly twisted from tightening the lid, which seems to cause spillages when drinking. Again, easily remedied but annoying when it leaks water down your shirt.
The cons:
I never really found a use for the handle, it’s only small enough to fit a couple of fingers through which leads me to believe it’s primarily designed to clip on to something, except there’s no clip so you’d need a carabiner or something to attach it to anything. Mine had also snapped completely off after about 9 months. The spring lasted longer, just over a year before snapping, but due to the design of the lid you can’t replace it which detracts from the ease of use as the lid can no longer flip up on its own. Replacement lids don;t seem to be available any more either so this can only be fixed by buying a whole new bottle.
One of the primary reasons to buy a water bottle is to reduce the amount of plastic associated with drinking water on the go, so a bottle that only lasts about a year isn’t ideal. All in all a great bottle, but the lid needs work on the durability front.
