Here is the test:
My car is keyless door and ignition. While sitting in the driver’s seat with the key in the pouch which was in my pocket — the car WOULD NOT START.
CONCLUSION: If the key’s Radio Frequency could not be read at that distance, it is surely unrecognisable whilst IN the pouch INSIDE the house.
SO I recommend this pouch.
This is the 3rd version of a Faraday pouch that i have tried and finally I feel confident that this one does the job. Only 2 small issues i do have is 1) i wish it was made slightly smaller so it fits in your pocket easier and 2) wish it would have a chain/ring fitted inside to connect the car key to. Overall though, it does block the signal nicely so no real complaints.
Used it to hold the remote car key after the other ones did nothing.
Working out just fine. Store the key within and car no longer picks a signal up. Neither will a thief with a tracking device now.
The product is as described, once your keys are inside, all keyless entry is stopped even when standing next to the vehicle, a great deterrent for signal boosters trying to steal your car.
Bought these because we now have a keyless car and needed to feel safeproduct is perfect can be easily attached inside bag or rucksack..and big enough to hold more than one key.
Good quality materials and workmanship and a sturdy build. It works as intended, unlike some of it’s competitors in my experience. This is the fifth RFID blocking pouch or bag that I have bought and it is the first one that does the job well.
Got a new car and wanted a bit of extra piece of mind so decided to go for the ironstone Faraday pouch. Especially after reading some reviews. Does exactly what it says. Cuts all contact with car.
1. Keyless entry won’t open.
2. Keyless start won’t detect a key.
All in all you can’t have enough security so thanks very much
They’re effective at protecting the signal to the car and , therefore, any potential cloning of the key fob.
Can’t comment on how long they’ll last yet but they look good and easily store the remote car key fob.
It works very impressed my car is keyless wanted Faraday pouch when I got in car put Keyless in pouch tried to start car pushing button it said unable to find key so I know it works so thank you, wouldn’t want my car taken by someone…..
Great key fob pouch, well made, big enough for the fob and one or two other associated items – tracker disc/fob ring etc, and not too big for your pocket. Above all else it works – no keyless entry unless the fob is removed from the pouch!! Not dear either.
Liked the quality material…looks really good and strong. Could be a bit more pliant to accommodate bulky keys with fob. All in all, pleased with my purchase and will recommend highly.
If you have a car with a keyless arrangement, and rely on a fob to open it, and you don’t want someone else to gain access, then buy this pouch. You’ll sleep soundly in your bed knowing that no one can use radio signals to clone your fob from the street outside your house. Incidentally, one month after buying this product, someone in our town had their keyless car stolen in the manner described. So, it was a salutary reminder that I made the right choice in buying this prevention product. My neighbour recommended this to me. And I recommend it to you. The pouch is not to big, and easy to carry.
Really like this item cos it actually works unlike the ones I exchanged this for.
The car won’t unlock or start while the key is inside the pouch which is the whole idea.
My key is the size of credit card, so the pouch is a little on the large side (hence the 4 stars) but you can put other stuff it in suppose.
I like it. Good quality. Well made.
