This portable induction hob is very reasonably priced and for that reason exceeded my expectations. It cooks well, is incredibly fast at heating up pans and offers about 10 different heating settings.

Our primary use for this induction hob is Chinese hot pots – so boiling a large pot of water to continuously cook food in rather than frying with oil. I read reviews that suggested the heating settings are not appropriate for this – but actually it has exceeded my expectations against other reviews and does a decent job of hot pots.

It’s true that the heating settings are not analogue like a gas hob, in which you can choose specifically the temperature you want and leave it at that through the size of the flame. Instead, this hob will provide the selected temperature by pulse heating – so will provide a short burst of high power and then switch off for a few seconds to try and maintain temperature, before another burst of power. For our hot pot dinners, this has actually worked very well and the different settings do enable you to maintain a boil or to slow down to a near consistent simmer.

The hob is super easy to clean as it’s a flat surface top, easy to move and is pretty lightweight. Overall, it’s proven great for a cheaper solution from a less known brand. Recommended.

Bought this as a temporary hob during building works and it is serving us well. It is lightweight enough to move around when not in use and it is very powerful – a pan of water boils really quickly on full heat and then I have to turn it right down as the boil is so ferocious. It was a lot cheaper than some of the others I looked at but I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We using it in our awning . We have induction hob in the house , so ot is not new to us. Works very well, very quick to bring to the boil. Can reduce temperature to the minimum if you need.
    5 stars !

I tend to use gas cooker, and will not be switching to electric. It’s a good product though, however on a temporary basis, whilst we await big gas cooker with an oven and a grill. Good for frying and grilling. It cooks really fast even on a low heat. Suitable for one person, not a family with children.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe recently had our gas boiler removed and replaced with an Air Source Heat Pump so it seemed pointless paying a gas standing charge for just our cooker rings (ovens are electrical) and our gas fire which we don’t use anyway. I needed a way to cook things that we used to use the gas rings for, this is to tied us over until we have a new kitchen in a years time. It’s brilliant, easy to use and fortunately our pans were induction compatible. It’s got a lot of power and I’ve found level 3 is the most used but it goes to level 6. Nice big base size too and the plus is we can take this camping with us as we have an inverter in our van. Electric hook up. It’s already paid for itself in the 2 months since we had the gas capped off and removed by our supplier.

Purchased this when we were having an extension built that meant we wouldn’t have a kitchen for 3 months. It has been invaluable in allowing us to cook during that period – I’ve used it for boiling eggs, cooking vegetables, making curry, boiling rice, etc etc and it’s been perfect for all of that.
The 9 settings seem to work by adjusting the ratio between the hob being ‘on’ and ‘off’. So you hear a humming sound (induction on) followed by silence (induction off). At the highest setting the induction is almost permanently ‘on’ and will boil water VERY quickly, whilst at setting 1 or 2 there’s quite a gap between the times of the induction being ‘on’, so that it averages out as a fairly low simmer. If I get a chance to then I’ll add a video to show what I mean.
Once you get used to it, it does a great job. But definitely don’t walk away when it’s on – if you haven’t used induction before then it’ll catch you by surprise!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks as well as gas in terms of responsiveness and quickness. Uses less electricity than I though it would. Not noisy. Super easy to clean. Fantastic purchase. Highly recommend!
PS I only just got it so no idea how long it’ll last. But right now, I’m very pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI used my hob to cook a frozen produce and it took half the time. I used temperature number 3 to give it a general simmering. No problems with the glass staying hot after use, cools straight down. Quick wipe over and stored away

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis is my fourth induction hotplate. One had an angualted front and water gradeually weeped in and loosened the glue, so flat ones like this have an important advantage in therms of longevity and in terms of ease of cleaning. I have onehotplate which switches on at zero power and needs 9 presses to get to full power. SAnd then a whole bunch more presses to get down to simmering power. This IsEasy hotplate has the massive advantage of switching on to no power but then, with one more press, going to full power or half power or minimum power depending on which control you press. This is soooo useful – with two presses you get the quick boil going and with just one more press you go into simmering mode.
