Just to let you know that this great bird feeder DOES come with a chain! It’s inside the main body of the item.
The seller should know this as it’s not easy to use without one and they could lose sales which is a pity as it’s very reasonably priced.
I have a constant stream of bird coming to feed on the various types of flutter butter I use in this.
Buy with confidence. Arrives quickly too.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOES come with chain!

I’m Sorry but when I put the pot of Flutter butter in the Plastic pot first and try to put it in the Pod it wont stay in just falls out I have two and it happens to both of them ? It hasn’t happened before

But do beware as Starlings also ravage the Flutter Butter and can empty one full jar in just one day.

Ideally this feeder needs a cage around it to prevent larger birds access

Meanwhile I’m sourcing an alternative in a cage!

The idea is good but my birds cant seem to manage to eat it.. so i just crumble the peanut butter or mould it around a pine cone or put in a coconut shell then they eat it.. so contrary..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSome reviewers have not had much luck with this but we have experienced the opposite: a real flow of birds. The only problem is the supply of flutter butter, which can take weeks to arrive. But the product itself is – in our city environment at least – hugely popular especially with the tits. This and RSPB Buggy Nibble Treats are the most popular of several bird feeds we’ve tried. We found that the birds are especially attracted if it rests again the wall to the side of the window. It was less successful hanging in a way that was pointed directly away from the window, so they were flying towards us. They seem much less bothered by our presence if they can keep a side view.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hugely popular with the birds

This has been a massive hit with the birds in our garden. It took a few days for them to work out what it was, but since then they have literally been queuing up to use it. The birds love the peanut butter (with bugs) and the design it great cos the greedy pigeons can’t perch on it!
The pods are so easy to change- but they don’t last long in our garden! The two robins in particular can’t get enough of it. Recommended.

This is great product for putting your bird
Peanut butter jars. Looks pretty hanging in a tree, and is very secure.
Really good value for money and birds love the peanut butter.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersORIGINAL REVIEW. Birds in my garden not interested in this. What’s more, neither are the squirrels ! Gave up with the birds and moved it to a spot where at least, I thought, the squirrels would eat it, easily accessible. None of them are interested. Have a feeding station with peanuts and sunflower hearts in my garden which are devoured heartily, unfortunately in spite of it snazzy name *flutter butter*, not worth buying. I’m left wondering, if even the squirrels won’t touch it, what on earth is in it.

UPDATE 24 May 2021 I eat my words. This thing has turned out to be quite a winner, it took quite a while for it to be used by the birds, I moved it to somewhere at least the squirrels would eat it, and it wasn’t long after the tits found it. I will recommend. Apart from the tits, have also had a very young greater spotted woodpecker who’s been eating from it.

Excellent feeder for flutter butter pods (and apparently jars too, not tried those yet though). Blue tits and coal tits have used it but so have the starlings and they’re eating quite a lot so it will get expensive! They’re fun to watch though, doing their acrobatics to get to the food.

Had my feeder a year now and certainly lasts, I hang it over a low branch and use a plastic tie to the branch. The birds love this although like most new feeders sometimes it take a few days for them to use it. What i like about these is no mess just simple screw to the feeder rather like screwing lid back on a jar and thats it.

This is the second one I have bought and the small birds love it. The two things I love is the food is kept dry and no food ends up on the floor, where vermin could eat it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAt first I thought the birds did not like it but, within 2 days they loved it. Some waste as some still falls to the ground but, sparrows, blue tits, green tits, robins and even a woodpecker found it and ate the lot. I would buy from seller again and looking to buy some more.

Flutter butter gives the smaller birds of getting their share of food. Easy for the likes of sparrows to land on the feeder. It is fascinating to watch them. Good value for money.
