Very nice, entry level buds that do a lot better than some overpriced ones! any problems I have had where to do with the dongle i was using after that was sorted, solid as a rock. If you get the right tip for your ear the bass is solid, the sound is very good, the build quality is good, you can sleep in them as there in the middle size range, you can use only one at a time as well. the best bit if you lose one you don’t have to have to panic too much. unlike some over priced fancy white-ones 🙂
They don’t hold charge for as long as my last ones so I use just one at a time to allow the other one to charge in the case.
I don’t like that the case has no “lid” as such. The ear buds fall out of the case if in pocket or dropped (even from a very minimal height as in video) because the case has no form of cover or closure.
… Not because they break down, but because I carelessly keep losing them! But I always repurchase these ones, even though there are newer and more expensive JLab models available.
Why? Great build quality. These survived an entire cycle in the washing machine! I did purchase a newer models as well, and it failed within weeks. It also felt inferior in terms of build quality, very cheap-like.
What I also like about these is that the charging case comes with USB cable PERMANENTLY ATTACHED. So I don’t have to hunt around looking for cable when I need it. The cable also tucks neatly into the bottom of the case when not in use (it is short).
If you’re looking for an inexpensive, robust set of earphones as either a main pair or spare pair, you can’t go wrong here.
Amazing sound quality. JLab Go Air Pop I found a bit better – the earbuds are more comfortable and the charger closes, so the buds are safer and do not fall out.
Overall, really impressed with the value. My favourite thing is that it doesn’t need a separate charging cable because it’s embedded in the po
Had these for about 6 months now. Really easy to charge and great noise cancellation, I’ve used them on a plane several times and they block out a good chunk of noise. Also, surprisingly good sound quality. I’ve used these for phone calls, online meetings, streaming TV, music and podcasts and they’ve delivered each time. I’ve never asked how clear the microphone is on calls but no one has complained yet they can’t hear me so I assume it works alright. My only negative is that I usually wear these during exercise or doing chores around the house and more often than not they slip out completely or don’t sit in the ear as snugly creating that tinny/tunnel sound and I have to constantly adjust them. Also, if you like listening to meditation or music etc I before bed like me, lying ear down on a pillow with these in are painful! However, if you’re paying 15, you can’t expect perfection and I do think these are some of the best low budget Bluetooth earphones I’ve owned.
These earbuds are ok for the price. I rate JLabs highly so to find a pair of true wireless for 15 was a bargain (the price may change by the time somebody reads this). They look great too and they connect quickly to my phone. I only listen to podcasts and audiobooks so I can’t comment on sound quality with music but it’s good for podcasts. It does not have any noise cancelling features whatsoever and the earbud tips don’t quite sit right in my ear even with a change of size but I have child sized ears anyway but they’re fine for stationary listening.
My only issue is the battery life. The earphones still stay connected even when charging the pod so you have to manually disconnect them from your device when you are done with them which isn’t great as it drains the battery really quickly if you don’t do this.
For the money these are compact, have a decent battery life, sound good, pair and connect reliably and are comfortable to wear and don’t fall out of the ears easily. The one negative is that the charging/carry case doesn’t have a lid or other means to prevent the earbuds falling out when being carried around in a bag, pockets or similar. They are held in place magnetically which isn’t foolproof in keeping them in the case. When this is going to be an issue I use an elastic band and a piece of card to prevent them potentially falling out and being lost – which works but a lid would have been a neater solution.
Firstly, I am not a fan of in-ear headphones, most of them don’t fit properly and are always falling out of my ears, maybe I have odd sized or shaped ear lugs? But what puts me off in-ear headphones the most is they are generally quite uncomfortable for me. I was looking for an alternative to my over-ear bluetooth headphones which I use when doing various chores around the house such as gardening or washing the car etc..
I’m one of those people who likes to read reviews from various outlets before making a decision to purchase something myself, I’d looked at various different pairs of in-ear wireless headphones and added them to my list when I stumbled across these, almost discounting them thinking “they are almost half the cost of any other pair I’m considering, these must be terrible”. After doing some research I figured I’d try them, after-all, if they weren’t suitable I’d send them back.
The headphones did not get sent back. Having found the pairing process straight forward and understanding the various touch points on the ear-buds I gave them a whirl, playing some podcasts whilst walking around a fairly busy city center during peak morning commute and they stood up very well and left me pleasantly surprised. On my return journey I put on some music and had equally positive results, although I did find that some bassier songs sounded a little muddy but nothing that distracted from the overall song.
The noise cancellation isn’t totally cancelling, allowing for some background noise to work it’s way through which, to me, is no bad thing as I’d prefer to still know what is going on around me. Overall sound quality was extremely good for podcasts with voices being crisp and clean only let down by some muddiness in heavier music. Battery life, at least for me, is very good, I have managed a full eight hours before hitting 10% battery and that was with constant use. Charging is a breeze via the case, although the case itself has no lid and does not hold a charge itself I haven’t found this to be a problem, I’m usually not far from a USB port or a USB charger and the headphones themselves sit in the case with a satisfyingly strong magnet. I’ve walked a fair few miles with them either in my pocket or a backpack and not found them falling out of the case.
Overall, if you are considering a pair of wireless ear buds and don’t fancy paying over the odds for a decent, serviceable pair then these get my recommendation. Whilst they aren’t going to impress the audiophiles for the vast majority of us, we’ll be very pleased to have saved a chunk of change by purchasing these instead of a more expensive alternative.
TL;DR,
Audio: 4.9/5
Build quality: 4.9/5
Battery: 5/5
Setup: 5/5
Use: 4.5/5
WELL WORTH IT! BUY IT!
For this low price, I expected a lot worse. I’ve always been the “cable guy”. Switching to wireless seemed fraught with niggles.
However there are a few standouts that are worth the switch!
The audio driver has enough power and bass to give very good, consistent clarity whilst listening to a range of sounds. The bass on a solid Metallica track is phenomenal.
The undertones are in your face. So from an audiophile with an addiction to Vinyl, it stands up well.
Battery levels are superb, shame my phone can’t keep up! Built in USB charging cable in its little dock is quick and intuitive! Lasts hours!. Simply drop the buds into the magnetic slot and boom they charge. Connect the USB TO any 5v USB socket and boom the dock charges.
My only issue is the touch controls, Having long locks of hair and wearing several facemasks per day, I constantly brush my hair behind my ears whilst out and about, I seemingly give it the faintest touch and boom, the track stops or volume increases.
No big issue but finding it more and more putting on or removing facemasks.
My biggest caveat is the Bluetooth, amazingly easy to pair, and once connected, it’s put em your lugholes and click Jlab and it connects.
I’ve noticed turning your head quickly whilst crossing the road can cause it to pause for a second or two, seemingly disconnecting once. I don’t know if it’s the dock that pairs to the phone or the buds but it’s consistent.
Overall these niggles are simply QOL than anything,My guess is it’s just this particular pair and I aim to buy another as I was impressed enough.
