Now on its fourth iteration, we all know what to expect from a JW film and there’s little to add.
What I must say though is that, in 4K Bluray format, this is probably the most beautiful film I’ve ever seen. Watched on a large OLED in a dark room, the contrast, colours and cinematography combine to become more art than film. Totally reference demo material.
Quick delivery, what can I say it’s Keanu Reeves who doesn’t love him , he is fantastic as John Wick, I have all four films and u can watch them over and over again and it never gets boring, bring on John Wick 5
I like films with moving pictures and people with faces. John Wick has moving pictures and people with faces. The faces in question are attached to the actors wearing them. John Wick has a face that looks uncannily like Keanu Reeves, which is fortuitous as John Wick is actually played by Keanu Reeves. A lot of characters in this film are fatally shot in the face and some are not. Spoiler alert: Those that are shot fatally, do not survive until the end credits. The film ends when it is over.
I love my action-films and John Wick as always is full of it, even more so in this one! Wears you out just watching it! Had been waiting for this next installment! Although I enjoyed it , it’s probably my least favourite out of the series, didn’t feel as if there was as much storyline, they’ve purely concentrated on the full-on fighting. But as far as the story coming to an end , if they keep it this way, I think it is the perfect ending- depends whether they decide to make a John Wick 5 !!

You know by now what to expect, and you get it in waves. Enough violence to make Mr.Tarantino very happy, perfectly filmed at a mouthwatering tempo. But why the yawn, well there is little new, yes expertly
filmed, but you have seen it all before, the fight in the kitchen, the exposition room with lots of exploding
glass, even the car chase round the Arc, seen it before. When you buy these kind of movies, you know there
won’t be any Shakespeare, but you hope for something new. The most original i saw these days was Cocaine
Bear, so enough said.
The first movie was brilliant
Retired black man goes back to his old ways (I’ll kill you all) because a spoiled kid and his friends steal his car and kill his dog. A bit excessive (…) but the story was quite “realistic”. In the three subsequent episodes, the story turns into confrontation with a worldwide Specter in which the Table controls the criminal world and beyond. The films are practically an uninterrupted series of shootings and various killings, with a great display of martial arts, in which the plot seems only a pretext between one change of magazine and another. They are well made films (for the genre) with rich and varied casts (again for the genre). This third installment does not disappoint fans. On the other hand, sequels to films of this kind are often pure commercial operations, which try to live (kill in this case) for about ninety minutes. Here, on the other hand, we have almost two and a half hours of entertainment (a bit monotonous indeed, but anyhow, it’s not a film with deep meditations or complex dialogues) that may not end there (generally the sales decide it).
But that’s literally the only bad thing I’ve got to say about the steelbook AND the movie itself. Both are works of art with a lot of care, skill, respect, and love that have gone into them. A fourth film in a franchise are usually really mixed bags (see Die Hard 4.0, Terminator Salvation, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), but somehow John Wick Chapter 4 is not only a brilliant film in its own right but quite possibly the best of the series. Sure, the story is simple and straightforward enough, but the action, cast, direction, cinematography, music, and choreography are the true stars of the show, and they’re firing on all cylinders.
It’s certainly entertaining if you’re a fan of action movies plus a decent script and a great picture,and the Dolby Atmos is a stunner,but will he return to kill another thousand hitmen or has he outstayed his welcome,time will tell and there’s no doubt that these movies are popular so there could be spinoffs recommended for fans but for me the first John Wick film is certainly the best.

episode, and am happy to confirm that Chapter 4 does not buck the

Now he chases down the High Table, and has eventually to be accepted back into the family to be able to finish his aim.
The price on John’s head just keeps getting higher, in fact on his route
to complete his personal quest, it seems half of the citizens of Paris is
on his case trying to claim the reward.

New York Continental, Laurence Fishburne the Bowery King, Donnie
Yen as Caine a blind assassin of the High-Table who will do everything
asked of him to protect his Daughter, Sharmier Anderson as Mr Nobody, a bounty hunter who is hunting down John Wick for the
reward, but is often found as John’s guardian-angel ? ….and the object
of John’s quest to gain his freedom Bill Skarsgard the Marquis Vincent
Bissett de Gramont a powerful member of the High Table responsible
for killing Winstone’s friend and concierge at the New York continental
and also friend to John Charon played by the late and much admired
Lance Reddick…..to name but a few of the key characters in the film.

Anyway as for the collectors edition, I mainly purchased it due to getting the collectors steel book of #3. And while its a nice set, I do feel it is a let down over #3. With that set we got a steel book, gold coin and a metal keycard and a slip case (or o-ring). While it was not billed as a collectors edition, it was exclusive to Amazon and with what was in it, I think collectors edition is an apt name.
For #4 though things are a little different. You have your standard version, your steel book version, your Amazon exclusive version (comes with an o-ring and extra disc) and of course the collectors edition.
It’s really a shame they decided to do it like this as the collectors edition is missing a few features that were in the last one. By separating the steelbook and Amazon exclusive into individual releases it means the “extras” in the collectors edition are not as good. Firstly no steelbook, which for 40 should have been a given seeing as #3 steelbook was 40 as well. Secondly the extra bits. With #3 we got a metal keycard and a metal coin. Here you get a bunch of paper and cardboard. The keycard is card, the map is paper, the folder is just card and of course the postcards are card. The only metal in the whole set is the pin badge.
This set is the same price as the previous one as I say, but feels like they saved money on putting it together.
Had there been a steelbook and the keycard been metal, this would have been a five star set.
