If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of bags that don’t quite fit and overhang. Just buy the official product.
A bit pricey for what they are, but worth it.
Buying this bin, some how subconsciously, has resulted in our family of 4 reducing blackbin waste. I think it could be down to the smaller size of the bin, and hence bag. Fantastic buy, and excellent bin bags.
We’ve been using plastic carry bags for our rubbish bin for a long time and listening to a podcast made us to order the bags and they have changed our lives! Haha
Easy to attach, fit perfectly, last for long and overall we saving money. Highly recommended.
Thought i would have a splurge and treat myself to actual JJ bin bags. SOO nice to have bin bags that actually fit the bin properly instead of having to tuck surplus bagging down the sides! Hopefully they live to expectations on the strength front…….update to follow!
Bin bags seem to be super hit and miss these days, with most being really thin and not sturdy at all. These bin bags are so so different. These are the first bin bags I’ve used that have not split, even if the rubbish has been squashed down a little. As much as these are pricey, they definitely do a much better job than any bin bags I’ve purchased previously.
Very robust. No idea how long they take to decompose in a landfill as they are very thick. However they never rip or burst and we have been using them for at least 5 years. Expensive but are the only ones that fit our Joseph Joseph recycle bin.
These bin bags are great. No issues with thickness, or any splits. Perfect size for the bin, which you would expect as they are made for the Joseph Joseph bins.
Only slight issue, which isn’t really an issue, just annoys my partner a bit, is that they are quite tight to wrap over the edges of the bin so are a little bit difficult to get on and off.
I’ve used bin bags from Tesco and Sainsburys in our JosephJoseph bin, and if you get just the right roll of bin liners you can get them to fit. But then Tesco’s supplier changed the size slightly and every other bag would split going on, and a few would split when I took them off.
Are these expensive bin bags? Yes, compared to cheap bags that are a fraction the thickness. But something I care more about than saving a quid on a pack of bin bags is not having to clear up the rubbish that spills out when a cheap bag splits.
They fit our Joseph Joseph bin perfectly. Very strong- we’ve had none rip so far. It is just a shame they are a lot pricier than a standard bin liner.
I have to buy these bags as they are compatible with my bin but they are a rip off. 20 bags for 8 is extortionate. You can buy them in Dunelm for 6. They are really thick and good quality and the drawstring on them is great but not sure that compensates for the price tag.
My OH bought a new Joseph Joseph bin for the kitchen and very nice it is.
We got a couple of free bags with it and thought they were pretty decent quality to be honest.
When we saw the price of the packs of bags it was a bit of an eye opener but having had another brand before with questionable quality bin bags we thought it was probably worth the extra expense to get something that didn’t split and spill all of its contents.
These fit perfectly, they have tie strings on them and feel twice as thick as standard bags. We’re half way through a pack now and we’ve not had a single one of them split or leak so will definitely be buying more in future.
Yes you can buy cheaper, yes it’s just rubbish and it’s just going in the bin but do you really want to risk getting last nights leftovers spilling over your clean kitchen floor?

Having a Joseph Joseph bin, I finally convinced my boyfriend to part with his hard earned money to buy these bin bags as they fit perfectly. I only use them for the paper and tins slot bit as I can get a few uses out of one bag. They are quite strong but they are expensive for what they do. There are no dupes yet but if one becomes available I would definitely get them.
If you have bought the bin then you probably buy these bags too.
Theyre a perfect fit and very strong.
One thing to be wary of is quality control.
Sometimes a full batch are faulty, the pull cords are not secured within the bag liner and so won’t close.
Amazon will send another out for free so no complaints
Update: After a few years of owning, the quality control of the bags has improved and now only the occasional bag has a problem.
Update
The quality control seems to be sorted now. I think they’re a little thinner but still good
