Just Dance 2019 (Nintendo Switch)
Just Dance 2019 (Nintendo Switch)
The youngest players will have a blast with the most fun dance playground: the Kids mode! It includes choreographies created with the help of kids’ development experts to encourage healthy movement, as well as a tailored interface, scoring, and special characters for the kids to be able to safely enjoy the game in complete autonomy. 8 new Kids Mode choreographies will be included in Just Dance, to be added to the existing catalogue.

I have so much fun whenever I play this game. It’s got a decent selection of songs on the main game, with the option to buy access to Just Dance Unlimited which comes with songs included on previous games. Luckily the pass doesn’t run on subscription, so it won’t renew automatically. Means you can just buy access when you feel like it.
Works the same as previous Just Dance games. The exercise mode predicts how many calories you burn, though I’m unsure of the accuracy of that. It does feel like a decent workout if you want to use it that way though.
Just like the other Just Dance games, this one is sleeker and user friendly. Compete with other players around the world, defeat the boss and overall great fun. It took me a while to understand the moves but other than that this game is great if you have friends to play with or just on your own.
Bought this for my neice and nephew back in 2018 for Xmas. They loved playing with it back then. Not so much now (maybe because of tik tok I don’t know) but I still sometime see them playing it from time to time especially when they have friends around. Good workout game, good party game.
The game is fun and the multiplayer mode works well too. It is great for some fun, light exercise and the song options are great too. The only downside is the subscription you have to get to have access to the wider range of songs, which is quite pricy.
you must pay an extra to get all music/coreografy. the price cover around 30 songs. i do not get why this price if then i must pay the rest of the game
This has been a hit in our household over Christmas and birthday parties! Young and old giving it a go plus the kids still get to play a game and exercise! Great all rounde
I’ve never danced so hard in my life. Mainly got the gift for the other half but she roped me in to a few duets and I moved parts of my body that were otherwise content to stay docile and not be bothered. I paid for it the next day when said parts were refusing to cooperate with my need to get up and walk places. So I got a day in bed for it.
Anyway point being, this is a fun game if your agile and nimble, and like dancing. If you’re none of those things I would suggest ordering traction. I’m sure Amazon does this…
Brilliant game I had forgotten how amazing it is especially with the unlimited add on which gives you access to the entire song catalogue from every game that’s ever been made!
Bought for my daughters birthday party! It was a total hit! the girls loved it. Even the boys played. Only issue is we couldn’t get it connected to the subscription part where more somgs were, couldn’t work out why as internet was workin fine.
My kids are 4 and 5 and LOVE this game,
they can dance for hours to all sorts of music from pop hits to classics to disney hits.
easy to use and they can score points and compete same as the adults
This is a great game to play with the whole family, and it supports up to 6 people to play at a time. The song choices are limited but you can get unlimited songs through subscriptions. Great way to excercise and have fun at the same time.
My daughter loves the game. I like how it came with a month free trial of the unlimited subscription. Sadly it ended but will buy the subscription soon. I think they I should include more songs for free but because my daughter likes the songs on there it is not a huge issue. Like how there are different modes and it counts calories burnt.
We bought it for our Nintendo switch.
Have always loved these games since the wii!!
Still great fun with the added bonus of paying a small fee monthly to have hundreds of songs x you get the first month free so you get to try before you buy, definitely worth the tiny monthly fee x
PROS
Super fun game which challenges you to a variety of difficulties – although I find the difficultly is more based around the complexity of the routine than the amount of exercise you’re getting, but I guess that is what ‘Sweat Mode’ is for!
In-game menu is easy to use for those not comfortable with most games.
CONS
You only get one month free with the 400+ songs, and then have to pay. But for casual use, the songs loaded on it are more than enough.
Using it for the Nintendo Switch means it really is only tracking your hand/arm movements – so you could cheat the game if you wanted to.. not that it would be worth it.
Good song collection this year as well, but unlike just dance 2017 and 2018, this one only has a 1-month free access to their premium online subscription for the 400+ additional songs (a bit of a letdown really)
Funny game and fun for all the family. Some good songs but could do with a few more as part of the game instead of a subscription which is a bit much after you have bought the game.
Love love love my game such a good buy and would recommend it too anyone with a switch i play it on a regular basis my favourite game so far.
Game came quick well packaged and made me a very happy customer thank you
Perfect game for all ages, many hours of keeping everyone entertained! And a great price too, in CEX they have a second hand one priced 10 more than we paid on here!
I do actually quite enjoy the game. With the Switch version, you can get away with just upper body movements. This, of course, brilliant for anyone with movement difficulties in the legs. I (for example) have swelling in and around my ankle due to arthritis and have had to temporarily give up dancing. Because the Switch only registers the joycon’s movement, I actually barely had to move my legs at all. (Which is currently ideal!)
Ubisoft does, however, sadly, lock over 400 songs from previous games behind a lovely paywall. It will regularly (every time you turn the game on at the very least) to use your free month’s trial and (presumably thereafter) give them all your money. I’m assuming it only does this if you load up the adult version of the game rather than the kids version.
Purchased with the smallest female MamaMoomin’s Christmas money. This game is fast, fun and family friendly! It combines all previous Just Dance editions with brand new songs and dances. There is also a keep fit mode where you can dance yourself thin. A variety of different abilities, and a kids mode for the smaller members of the family, this game is great for all ages and abilities.
I bought this game as a present for my sister. I had a go with her on the switch and it was a very fun game to play. A wide variety of songs, as well as having a kids mode too. Definitely got the family having a good time after a few drinks.
Thoroughly enjoyable game. I’m terrible at it, but my daughter and wife are fantastic… I have learned how much of a loser I am when it comes to dancing thanks to this game.
Plenty of levels to unlock the more you play keep it going longer than just a single play.
If you love to dance then you will like this and also children love this type of games. (I go of experience from my brother and sisters)
A good game to play alone, with family or friemds.
Love this game we all enjoy it !! Little catch with the subscription if you want to get online and do the four hundred songs – you get a month free which is good but I’d expect to pay much more than the price of this game lol
Great songs, lots of options in terms of music, styles and level of difficulties. There is an large choice of songs for young kids and also option to have “sitting down” dance so the whole family can take part.
Really fun for children and adults. The laughter we’ve had from adults attempts means it’s a lovely family fun game. Not 5 stars as think they could have more child friendly (as in small children) but the ones they have are good and hopefully they’ll progress onto the harder ones at some poi
Bought for our 4 and 5 year old girls to enjoy primarily. The switch version is pretty simple to get going with as you just to hold the joy con controller and dance around. There’s a new kids mode which makes it easy for the girls to dance to some simpler songs, which is good, but when we’re all dancing we use the main game. Unlimtis good, you get a month for free, but not sure how we’ll feel about paying for it when our month is up!
My son loves all the other Just Dance’s available on the Nintendo Wii. I’ve bought this as part of a bundle with the Nintendo Switch for my sons Christmas present. I’m hoping he’ll love this just as much.
This game is a classic! The dynamic is the same as normal, however with more customisation options and you play to release songs. The only downside (and it’s quite major) is that it displays the content you have to pay extra for (which is a lot). This is annoying as it conceals the free songs and attempts to force you to pay more.
