So I had bought a couple of different connectors to try and get my N64 to work on a modern TV. They had all failed. I was getting terrible graphics and constant flickering. I went for this and it works perfectly the colour is great and there is no flickering. So happy, I can finally play all my old games. Great produc
I was sceptical but so glad I brought this worked immediately no problems at all N64 in 16:9 looks great far better than using a AV adapter really pleased with this worth the slightly premium price tag
This product is easy to fit and works with the N64, the graphics are not the greatest but what do you expect on an old console. It works as expected with no tuning or manual intervention required.
However, having left a very poor re view and having arranged the return, upon packaging back up I noticed a tiny switch next to the HDMI port. I checked the manual twice but can see no mention of the switch — however, by sliding it across, and trying one last time, I was amazed to see that goldeneye now worked.
This little adapter that is allowing me to use my N64 on both a new 55″ LG OLED TV, and also a older (10 years), LEDTV from Samsung.
Updated to 4 stars as performance is adequate and as good as can reasonably be expected but loses a star for the silly lack of documentation of the switch (I wonder how many get returned because of this?).
This is the first hdmi adapter I’ve purchased which has worked. I wish I found this one before wasting my time and money on other ones. Highly recommend using this adapter.
Did not know what to expect on my modern tv , but I am currently using this to play legend of Zelda ocarina of time with a retro fighters N64 brawler wireless controller and the picture quality is as good as when I played on a crt tv back in the day , very very pleased
I’ve tried 3 HDMI adapters prior to this and had screen flickering on some games, not all but enough to make it annoying. But the bullet and paid a bit more for a higher quality on in this product, and both games.ive tried so far have no flickering. Initially it did, but after flicking the little switch on the device it immediately stopped.
Delighted to have finally found a good one, my advice is pay a little extra to get a good one like this!!
Work’s fine on the Nintendo 64 and all. Only issues are user error. If you get no signal you may need to check if you’ve got an extended drive or a jumper because game’s won’t play or even start up with a jumpe
