Couldn’t find a basic can opener in the shops for my caravan and the other hand held I’d bought were poor quality so back to basic butterfly can opener that does the job perfectly.

Got this to use in our works canteen. There is a couple of very fancy tin openers there already but I never manage to get them to work properly and I end up with half a lid off if I’m lucky after five minutes trying.
Got this and it’s perfect job done in 10 seconds no problems

Purchased as it was the cheapest I could find as all the more expensive ones we tried either rusted or went blunt and I got fed up constantly looking for tin openers. This one is working really well at the moment and no signs of rust so hopefully it’ll last a while.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have not used this item yet. It looks the business. I put the tin opener in the kitchen drawer and kind of forgot about it to be honest. Well actually truth be told we don’t open many tins, and in the evening of the day it was delivered my wife and I went out for a really nice chicken in a basket at our local. I ordered a pudding but she didn’t, but then she asked for some of mine! What’s she like! I said no because I do really “do” pudding sharing. The tin opener came up conversation a few times as you can imagine, but then yeah, we just forgot about it.

    Basically it looks the business.

I e tried all kinds of tin openers over the years and have failed to get them to work properly. This butterfly style takes me back to my childhood when things were made to last AND it works for me. It’s a bit flimsy but it does the job.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHubby is the main cook in the house. He bought an expensive can opener & really doesn’t get on with it. Tried this one last night when he needed to get into a can in a hurry & gave it 2 thumbs up.

Love the simplicity of being able to use a tool that just does what it’s supposed to do.. open cans!.. it stays sharp, unlike more expensive models that become dull after a few months, you don’t have to faffe about plugging it in just works.
    Love it!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am so fed up with can openers that go wrong quickly!
I’ve tried all shapes, sizes & prices but NONE ARE AS GOOD AS THIS LITTLE GEM! Cheap & definitely cheerful, the butterfly design wins hands down! It is lightweight, easy to operate, even with arthritic fingers & pierces the can without much pressure, never requiring me to fight endlessly with it to get it going.
Of course it won’t last forever, but personally I can accept that when only paying 2.30 for it (April 2022).
Minimum order is 2 though, but it’s good to have one spare.
My cats are happy again as I can now get into their cans of tuna

It does what it is supposed to do. For the price, you can’t go wrong. It’s easy to use and as most tins have pulls on them these days, it won’t get a lot of usage so will probably last quite a while.

I found it quite hard to find a basic can opener to replace the decades old one we had that finally gave up the ghost.

This one is certainly basic, but it does the job.

It’s sturdy enough, although not as solid as the old one it replaced (true of so many things) and does what it’s supposed to.
