Lakeland Dual Action Microfibre Cleaning Sponge & Scourer
Lakeland Dual Action Microfibre Cleaning Sponge & Scourer Pads – Pack of 4
Perfect for cleaning the whole kitchen, from non-stick pans to worktops and stovetops, these Dual-Action Microfibre Scouring Pads provide heavy-duty scrubbing power as well as softer scrubbing for delicate surfaces.
Giving you the best of both worlds, these dual-sided sponges have a soft and an abrasive side. The soft, non-stick friendly microfibre side cleans up spills and wipes away dirt, then flip over to the abrasive side for heavy-duty scrubbing power for tougher spills and dried on food.
When the sponges are looking in need of freshening up, they can go in the washing machine and be used time and time again.

These sponge/scourers are the best we have ever tried – we were getting so fed up with the supermarket sponges that disintegrated and fell apart within a short space of time and use. Although an initial higher outlay, these sponges are lasting much better and maintaining their high quality and absorbency over time.
These are possibly the best kitchen pads I’ve ever used. Only word of caution is when new the scourer is quite harsh and ‘snaggy’ – if laundering I would recommend putting them in a lingerie bag and wash with items that can withstand some abrasion (like tea towels or other dishcloths).
These are brilliant. I got them to clean walls with sugar soap. As there’s a pack of them I’ve ended up with some in the kitchen. Bathroom. For walls etc. they fit any purpose.
These are so long-lasting, easy to use and don’t fall apart like the cheap foam washing up sponges. I like that they are double-sided with a dual function. Love the colours too. Nothing to dislike about this product.
I have re bought these sponges time and time again for the last few years I haven’t found anything else that works as well as these. They last a long time and wash well in the washing machine. Well worth every penny and I will definitely keep buying these
Excellent cleaning sponge. Used to get them from Wilco for 2 but sadly no more and this was the only place I could get them for a far larger amount of money
I don’t know when I became the kind of person who cared about washing up sponges, but here we are. These sponges are exactly what I have been looking for: a good size, soft and flexible, but with a scrubber side that works. I’ve not yet washed one in the machine for a refresh, but I am certain they’ll hold up well. Highly recommended!
Updated to say that they don’t hold up well in the wash at all. Very disappointing!
These are a sustainable scrubbing pad as they can be machine washed. The silver side is non-scratch but has enough scouring strength to clean egg etc from pans. The sponge (coloured ) side produces a lot of foam with only a very small (pea-sized) squirt of washing up liquid (so again quite sustainable). They are also a great size to fit comfortably in the hand and able to reach to clean the bottom of a half pint glass.
They are pricey but can last for months if you wash them so I dont mind the highish cost. Fun colours too (can we have a green and blue ones too please! )
I had previously bought these from Lakeland, whose products I have been buying for years. Unfortunately, they have closed their nearest store, therefore I have to order online, but pleased to find them on Amazon. They’re fab little sponges. The reverse is strong enough for pans, but without scratching and the super soft sponge is gentle on glass etc. You can refresh them in the washing machine and they last ages. They’re nice and bright too
These are a great alternative to cheap sponges used for washing up. They have a soft side for wiping down counters and a slightly abraisive side for getting at those stubborn spots. Easy to wash, just fling them in the washing machine and leave out to dry through. As it’s a four pack they have lasted us a long while before we’ve had to replace them with this purchase and that is only due to the fact we accidently tore them up. Please note, be careful when cleaning knives/graters, or anything with a potentially sharp edge – make sure to wipe with the soft side as, if you accidently wipe with the abrasive (silver) side, you may tear a hole in the fabric and then the sponge will need to be thrown out before it’s time.
Really nice sponges that I enjoy using, the soft side is very soft and smooth and the other side is more rough. I haven’t put them in the washing to clean yet as I have a few other reusable sponges that I also use but they do feel better quality and I don’t expect any issues, I will update if I have any.
Edit: I have added 2 photos that show the state of the sponges after nearly 2 years of use. I would say they are still in good condition and I certainly do nothing in particular to look after then, just throw them in a general wash. I am still happy with them and plan on re-purchasing them when these do eventually need replacing
I wanted to try an option that was less wasteful and more hygienic than disposable sponges so decided to give these a go. I’ve had them for 3 months and I’ve only used one so far. It does not shed or smell at all. I wash it in the dishwasher about once a week (not in the washing machine as the instructions state to wash it without fabric softener) and it still looks brand new. The silver side is more abrasive than a usual sponge and the colourful side is really soft, both of which are fine by me. It’s slightly longer and thinner than a conventional sponge, which I also like. I use it in the kitchen for any items I cannot/will not put in the dishwasher (metallic, ceramic, wooden, glass) and it works great. I predominantly do the dishes with green soap, castille soap or vinegar and it’s performed well with all of these.
If you’re going plastic-free I would not recommend those as they do seem to contain some plastic. However they last much longer and I’ve not had to replace one yet, so definitely helping towards creating less waste. Indeed they’re more expensive than disposable sponges but if it means they don’t end up in the trash for a long time, I’m happy with that.
