I’ve had this tool now for about 2 weeks, and so far I like it a lot. It’s replacing a Launch Pros Mini that I’ve had for 4 and a half years, and that tool has impressed me on more than one occasion. This newer Launch tool really expands on the older platforms. The topology feature is great, and something I’m glad to see so many platforms adopting. The all system scan works quickly (speed of course varies by the age and make of the vehicle,) and I like the fact that you can label the reports as pre, post, or diagnostic health scan before saving them. I’m a professional technician, so having an easy way to save and email these reports to myself, as well as to my customers, is an incredibly valuable feature. In the interest of full disclosure, I received this tool at a discount as part of a product test group. That said, I do feel it’s well worth the price for the features it has. I’ve paid a lot more for tools with less overall functionality, and still felt I was getting a fair deal. I haven’t had the chance to fully explore all of them, but I was able to use some of the programming capabilities on a 2013 Mazda 3. This tool was able to successfully perform the PMI function necessary to program a replacement PCM, as well as the required security handshake function (parameter reset) so that the car would start and run. I attempted to use it to add an additional proximity key to a 2020 Subaru Outback, and the function was unfortunately not available for an Outback that new. There were a number of other Subaru models which were, so I expect to see it added in future updates. Outside of this, the one other hiccup I’ve had so far is some of the names of features aren’t as intuitive as I think they could be. It took me a second to figure out which function was the all system DTC scan because it had a name I’d never encountered before. Not a big deal once you know, just something for the company to consider changing for the sake of clarity. It’s certainly not the first time I’ve encountered this with a scan tool, both aftermarket and OEM. All in all, I’m happy with the product and will continue to test its capabilities.

I have used this scanner for multiple vehicles with great results. You will have to get a subscription in order to get past SGW on some cars, but over all a very capable scanner. Happy with the purchase!

Very capable tool that has the same functions as more expensive brands. I would suggest reading the manual or watch videos on how to use it. It has many more functions then you think at first.

I used in my 08′ dodge caliber . The bluetooth works great . I like how fast it scan the system it did the can bus topology . One of the best features is that you can get more modules to add to the scanner and do battery, tpms, immo ets. The case is massive loaded with adapters and space for future modules.

We have an enormous fleet of many makes and models at the company where I work. I was using an Autel 908, I chose the autel because of the ease of use. I tried this unit at the advise of a close friend. IT IS AMAZING! So many other options are available with this unit as opposed to the Autel. Easier to use and so many other options. This is an excellent unit for beginners and professionals. Its took a little longer to get but it was worth the wait! Excellent everything. Great unit. Well built and upgrade options are available to everyone. Wifi and connections are amazing. Everything in this great kit. We will be Launch unit users from now on.

This is a good product, however, Porsche needs to rethink their strategy of essentially forcing owners to have the dealer perform simple tasks like changing oil, a half hour job and no hoist is required. Without the Launch, or another similar product, owners must pay the dealer +-$700 for their first oil change, $3,400 for the second. According to the dealer, the second oil change ($290 for parts retail from Porsche) includes replacing two cabin filters ($140) and changing the brake fluid (likely a half hour job so let’s say $250, parts inclusive). All in all, about 1.5 hours total labor. The Launch has already paid for itself.

I’ve been using my scanner for a few weeks now and has been very good. I needed some tech-support for a few things and tech-support. Help me out right away and followed up with me to make sure that my scanner were still operating as it should. Enjoying the Bluetooth adapter.

I Have recently purchased my 2nd Launch 431, as its simply unbeatable, You can give it to a kid and they can simply diagnose it,very easy to use compared to other diagnostic companies.
Would fully recommend buying this for a beginner or even a long time tech.

For the price this is truly a great scan tool. Was easy to hook up to my autoauth account, updating was easy, great live data capabilities and bidirectional controls. Battery life seems to be pretty good too. For an entry level tech or an at home guy this is a great option or just to fill out your shops scan tool collection to make sure you have the functionality you need when you need it! Oh and OB1 Connectors are just a bonus!

This scanner tool definitely worth the money. It did as advertised. Fast read any cars especially mainstream models. The capabilities of it are also impressive. Except simple reading/clearing codes, and live data stream, the advanced cu coding, topology mapping, and bidirectional diagnoses make my work easier and faster. Only one problem is that it stopped charging at one day, and I contacted the support team via the email on ads. They got back to me quickly, and helped me to check the problem. Finally resolved the problem perfectly.
This scan tool does so many things that save time and money. I recommend it definitely.

I’ve actually used this scanner to diagnose a faulty PCM in a 2010 Dodge Ram and replace faulty headlight modules in an ’11 5 Series BMW. Once I got that new module in, it had to be coded, and I had to run some reference for the adaptive headlights. Through all of those procedures, this scanner worked flawlessly.
What’s a bit frustrating is its lack of instructions. Seriously, each manufacturer does things differently with this tool, so I ended up spending a ton of time trying things out and searching around for where everything is. It drove me crazy, but I realized it’s not really Launch’s fault. It’s more about how the car manufacturers set things up. Despite this little annoyance, the tool itself has held up really well. The battery life is still top-notch, and it’s just as speedy as it was when I first got it.

I ended up with the LAUNCH X431 V+ because it was cheaper than Snap-on and had a better reputation compared to XTool. Before making the purchase, I reached out to all the companies and asked them some questions. While they all responded, only LAUNCH gave me answers in proper English that made sense.

I also noticed that XTool was fairly new and hadn’t really proven itself yet (which is probably why it had a lower price). As for Snap-on, it didn’t support a lot of US cars or other vehicle models. It only worked with a specific group of vehicle brands and specific years of manufacturing.

Another thing I considered was the cost of updates. I realized that after the free update period, using the Snap-on tool would get pretty expensive. That could be a real disaster because Snap-on updates are the most expensive, and X431 V+ doesn’t require continuous updates for use.

Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It has been working very well for me.

I was a little hesitant but am so glad I was wrong. After I did the update (which does take a while and they say so) it was fast and accurate. I even used it on a first year OBD2 Corvette and it quickly hooked up and took me straight to the problem. The remote use is amazing when trying to find and issue where you need to operate something (evap solenoid as example) you can watch the results immediately. It is comparable to high dollar ones which really surprised me. I am so glad I took the chance and ordered it.

I purchased this scanner hoping it could be the last one I would ever need; although there’s no way of knowing that, it could be true. It has more features than I’ll ever need; I know that much, and the updates continue to come. It is fast and responsive, and having a larger screen helps to spread all the information out in a logical manner. Now that I have the best scanner amongst my circle of friends, it travels around more than I do, but that was another reason I spent the money and got a good one, so my friends could use it as well. I have reached out to the seller for help on a couple of occasions, and they have responded quickly and answered my questions thoroughly. If I had to buy another scanner, I would purchase this one from this seller again.

The Launch X431 V+ PRO 4.0 covers most of the modules you will find in a variety of modern cars. Even as a novice i was able to complete a couple of jobs on my UK Ford Mondeo and experiment with the bi-directional functions to work windows and lock doors etc – safe options while i am learning. The 4 stars for ease of use is purely because of the many capabilities that take a little time to find; but they are there. Normal scanning and code clearing is pretty straight forward.
Battery life is good and having the bluetooth adaptor stored in the main tablet is very handy.
The main tablet is pretty robust and seems as though it will take the inevitable knocks. A variety of adaptors is supplied, so it will connect to most cars you might encounter especially here in the UK.
The only small niggle i have is that the WiFi didn’t pick my router up as well as my phone or laptop does.
I have solved that with a repeater in my front porch.
Very pleased with a comprehensive tool at a good price for the feature set.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI recently purchased the launch X431 V+ Pro and it has now become my go-to tool for diagnosing vehicle issues. From the moment I started using it, I was impressed by its capabilities and performanceIt- it has exceeded my expectations!! One of the standout features of this scanner is its extensive vehicle coverage.I’ve used it on different type of makes and models so far, which is ranging from older vehicles like a 2001 Honda Accord to newer kind like a 2022 Ford F-150and it hasn’t let me down.
Two days ago l encountered an issue with the ABSsystem on a2014 Toyota Camry.Other scantools I had tried couldn’t establish a connection with the ABS module, but this scan tool had no problem accessing it. It quickly identified the specific fault and allowed me to perform the necessary trouble shooting steps. l was able to resolve the issue with confidence, thanks to the accurate and reliable information provided by the scanner!
This pro scanner also offers additional features that enhance its overall value. The built-in Wi-F connectivity allows for easy software updates, ensuring that I always have access to the latest vehicle coverage and diagnostic capabilities. The tablet-style design is compact and portable, making it convenient to carry around the workshop or take on-the-go.
Overall, I recommend the Launch X431V+ Pro to anyone in need of a powerful and versatile vehicle diagnostic scanner. Its extensive vehicle coverage, user-friendly interface, and reliable performance make it an indispensable tool for both professional mechanics and car enthusiasts. I look forward to utilizing its features for many years to come.

    PERFECT scan tool!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad an issue with a scanner. Next thing I know, Launch customer service gets ahold of ME by email asking how they can make it right… I was rendered speechless. Customer service has gone down the gutter with most companies out there. At Launch they still know how to please a customer, I’m still in shock. I’ll have to try another product before I pass final judgment. Well done Launch, get me a programmer and I’ll smile ear to ear for 2 whole days.

I have upgraded from X-431 to X431V+Pro. Although many of the features remain the same, the addition of extra service functions plus the larger screen really elevate the functionality of the 431 Pro. The Adblue & Nox sensor srevice functions have helped in troubleshooting various issues with systems resulting in quicker turnaround times through the workshop.
Aditional purchases of the BST360 Battery tester, TS Gun tpms tool & VSP-808 Boroscope have made this a complete must have for any repair shop or motoring enthusiast. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI bought this Launch X431 V+ a couple of years ago and have used it many times since then to diagnose problems with my own cars and those of family members. I’m strictly DIY and fix my own cars to save money. Most recently I have gotten great value out of it for a diagnosis and for checking a used car that I was considering purchasing. My 2005 Camry had a check engine light which was from an evap code related to a vent valve circuit high. By using the bidirectional controls, I was able to determine that all of the evap valves would at least click and that the system would hold pressure. That means that the problem was not a full failure of any component and was probably a small leak. Starting with the easiest components to check (and using some YT videos and a vacuum pump/gauge) it turned out to be the purge valve under the hood that was not completely closing and hence unable to hold pressure. Replacing the part was a good fix. The code reading and element activation helped make this a quick and convenient diagnosis so that I was able to complete the repair before our mandated annual inspection. This meant that I could do it myself and save at least several hundred $. (Besides saving on parts and labor, shops tend to replace more than they need too; there is a hefty incentive for them to do something like require replacing the hard-to-get-to cannister.) I’ve used the tool several other times to help diagnose various issues on my cars and those of family and friends.

I also recently did a health check when I was test driving a used Lexus. The car had no check-engine lights and drove fine, but when scanned, it had 4 history codes and 4 current codes, some of which were related to ABS and the TPMS system so they were not emissions-related and severe enough to set the CEL. These things can still be expensive to fix and could prevent passing the mechanical inspection in my state. Given the market today, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to negotiate the price down, so I passed on the car and saved myself potentially significant costs and headaches. Note that you can read codes with a cheaper code-reader, but with this thing you save and email yourself a full report to study later when sitting at the computer.

Update [10/2022]. I recently got a check engine light in my 2014 F150 with a code for a circuit problem on the downstream oxygen sensor. Using the scan tool, I could see that there was no signal at all from the sensor (rather than some sort of bad signal). The most likely cause is a wiring problem and this was determined after about 5 minutes while sitting in the drivers seat. A visual inspection found rodent-chewed wires leading to the sensor. A bit of soldering fixed the problem and removed the CEL.

Another reason for a DIY person to get one of these is that it is a great educational tool. You can learn a bunch by just looking at the data stream (and saving “known good” data) and watching how the vehicle operates when everything is working.

The device itself is rugged and feels good in the hand. I’ve had no hardware problems. I wish it had a pull-out stand (e.g. for resting on the steering wheel), but I’ve never really had a problem using it as it is.

I have two little quibbles so far: First, the software updates are, IMO, a little expensive for DIY users. It would be nice if there were subscription options that catered more to these users (maybe a charge for a single update or updates for only 5 cars or something like that). Please note that Launch, as part of a limited offer, provided a couple of years of upgrade in return for a positive review; but that has not affected what I’ve said here. Second, the software for the automatic evap test for the Camry mentioned above does not work right and I’ve sent messages to the company twice through the x431 software and have received no responses and this part of the software still does not work.

Overall, I love this tool and don’t think I’ll ever be without a scan tool again.

Amazon veloce come sempre software e prodotto originale.
