These are really good.they run on watch battery so last longer and the wire is thicker than what I have previously purchased for this type of light and you can move and mould it to go where u need…love them
I use these lights in papercrafting such as greeting cards. Easy to use. You can cut off some of the lights e.g. one photo shows where I cut off all but 8 cards as I wanted a glow and not the brightness of all 20 lights.
When I use double-sided adhesive paper I find the battery attaches easily to cardstock and won’t come off unless you wrench it (as I had to once when I’d misaligned the adhesive).
The lights, especially the battery, inevitably adds some weight to the card, so I recommend using at least 290gsm cardstock weight for the card base, and so far I’ve put the battery at the bottom of the card (not the top so it won’t be top-heavy). Just have to make sure the switch is accessible!
Delighted to find there are 4 sets of these in the box. I bought them to put inside and illuminate a fairy castle I’d made and for that they are a perfect length and really bright giving exactly the effect I was hoping for.
Some reviews suggest these lights can be unreliable, with sets failing or not working at all. I have to say every one of mine work and they are more robust than the thin wire would lead you to believe. I’ve bent mine, twisted them, fed them through the bottom of cardboard tubes and pulled them up through to the top of those tubes – all without the wire breaking.
I would thoroughly recommend these, they’re a great little buy.
Wanted them to light up my pumpkin and acorn jars. They work great and feel really cosy. They are a warm colour which the photo dosnt show. Really happy with them.
Bought to add to a costume hat for a party.
All lights lasted the evening and were an amazing bright addition to my fancy hat.
The battery packs did start to get a little warm after being on for a few hours, but not dangerously hot.
I bought these to use at Christmas in small ornaments which are usually lit by a tealight candle. They are just right for the job and look beautiful when lit. My only criticism is the battery life. Each one needs 2 x CR2032 batteries and those supplied didn’t really last well. I’ve purchased extra supplies of batteries to use. You also need a very small headed screwdriver for removing/ replacing the 4 screws in the battery case. That is a bit of a fiddly job. However though I am happy with the purchase and they do look lovely lit up – especially with new batteries installed
The best aspect of these lights is the battery container is so tiny which means the lights can be displayed in and around many items without the need to try and conceal a large battery case
We have bought quite a few of these lights for Christmas crafts and paper lantern boxes. Lovely warm light – not harsh at all and they look very effective in the decorations. We love them and have ordered more to wrap around garlands for the stairs at Christmas. Also look very effective in glass jars dotted around the house. I cannot comment on the battery life or durability as we haven’t had them illuminated yet for long periods, however batteries are included and are easily replaced. Very impressed with these.
These are brilliant little lights.Lightweight delicate but nice and bright. They are a warm yellow colour. I have used mine for my Moroccan candle holders and they look great much better than the candle I had in them as the cable from the light lets me pull it right to the top of the holder then I secured it with a bit of blue tac .I will also use them to make Christmas wreath to hang over my door were it is impossible to get the electric too. The switch is on the top and it sticks out so its easy yo find to turn on and off.
