The plastic coins are smooth with no sharp bits or edges. The notes are hardlasting, very similar look and feel to the real ones. Few of the imprints on the coins are off centred but kids wont notice that.
Using these to help teach my son about money. So as he does tasks around the house he earns the coins and then upgrading to notes, he wants a new game 2 months after getting his console so Im making him earn it! Colours are not exact but each coin shape and size make them recognizable.
I bought this toy money to to teach school age children how to recognise money and use it to buy things in the toy shop. They quickly learned the value of each coin and note. Really helps with adding and subtracting!
I brought this for my daughter to help her with her maths, it’s a fun way for them to learn and she enjoyed playing shops as well as learning her maths skills, I’d recommend.
Very pleased with the quantity of coins, so many have too few. Notes are a good size too.
Very good quality, definitely the best pack I’ve purched. No cheap tacky shiny coins. Perfect to help my daughters get to grips with cash for the odd occasion they may ever need to know.
This is going to help my daughter. She is 12 has dyspraxia and struggles with worded maths questions, she is a visual learner and this will help her immensely surprised at the negative comments about it says Not a legal tender lol but it isn’t so what’s wrong with that, being printed on one side lol so what? It does the job some ppl may have been expecting real money lol if that’s the case save up and use that for learning material definitely recommend, notes are slightly smaller than original but who cares? It’s better than ripping up paper and writing 5 or 10 and cutting out paper coinsthumbs up from me Great value for money! coins are bulky which is good for your kid to hold onto easily. Some coins don’t have the value on them, but that’s where the learning comes in, you want your child to recognise coins without having to read the value..
This pack of money is well designed and looks sufficiently authentic that it’s easy to use for giving my daughter some fun hands-on practice for working with money (pay, make change, add and subtract with decimals, etc.).
For my younger son (age 6), these were authentic enough to motivate him to take on challenges with fake money rewards (he knows they’re fake of course, but it’s exciting enough because they look pretty good!)
This pack is pricier than some cheaper alternatives, but having gotten both both, I am much happier with the quality on this pack.
These were wonderful as a top up for all those that have been misplaced over the years. Ideal to teach youngsters the different coins, to sort, stack and play with. These coins could be used to play games with that should improve youngsters handling coins and use them to do simple maths such as adding up and takeaway.
The coins are brilliant for teaching kids, nice light weight but not breakable. Should always use under strict supervision due to the fact they fit perfectly in mouths. Notes are good to show what money looks like but kids not interested as only printed on one side.
Really useful for teaching my little one about money. We play counting games and she uses it in her till when playing shop. The only thing is having a stamp on the ones to make it clear it’s not legal tender seems unnecessary.
Great set of mock coins and paper money to help our youngest understand traditional payments in this digital age. We had some other toy money sets but this set resembles the real UK currency so children can actually learn to pay and calculate with it.
It is fairly durable though obviously made of plastic and glossy paper. The quantity in the set is quite good as well, so that many combinations and large values can be reached. Our children quite like to use it in their shopping play. Would recommend.
I was quite pleased with this pack of play money, as the coins were well marked and similar in size to the real thing and a good number of each one.
The paper money is much smaller than the real thing, but it is made for little hands.
I’ve seen other people complain about this and the fact that it has specimen written on it, but I think that has to be as they are life like on the printed side.
To be clear, they are only printed on one side which is a little disappointing.
However it is toy money!
One nice thing about the coins is that when shaken in the hand, they sound like real coins!
Overall I am very pleased with these to help my grandchildren with their counting.
If they are for older folk I agree they are not “real” enough looking.
These are fine for the kids to learn with.
The notes are one sided and smaller than expected. The coins are obviously play plastic coins – as expected.
I felt they were over priced and would have expected around 4 to be more appropriate.
Over the kids were pleased.
Bought these for educational purpose. It is quite expensive for what it is but at least you know you have a full set of money to teach your child how to use money and how to make different totals with different values of money. There are 10 of each coin, 4 of each note and 5 fivers. One fiver is turned upside down in the pictures to show the back of them and I read when purchasing that they are not double sided because of legal reasons which I’m ok with as they are educational. I think they could be cheaper because it’s not the best quality (paper and plastic but at the same time useful for their purpose and will do!
I was a bit dubious having read a few not great reviews, I ordered 2 packs as my autistic son has huge difficulty with money so wanted something life like. Are they exact replicas? Not at all, are they big? Ever so slightly bigger than real money but the colour differences and shapes are perfect for what I need. The notes are small though and not life like but colour wise will certainly help get to grips with money.
The set is great and true enough to life for my purposes: teaching functional skills in further education. The notes are a strong kind of paper – so I will be laminating them because they are definitely not durable, but good-looking. I shopped around for the best option for my 3 priorities: looks like BPS, large quantity and price. On these, this product is the winner. Arrived very quickly – 2 days ahead of schedule, which is always going to make a teacher happy
Lovely set of pretend money, the paper money looks a bit flimsy but haven’t taken it out of the packaging yet.. I will probably laminate these as not sure how long they will last without being torn but the coins look great.
Hoping to have lots of fun playing shops with my little one and then when he’s older teach him about money values.
My 6yr old loves these coins so much she’s been loving doing her maths using them!
Coins look so real and a good way to teach kids about money…
I’d be cautious if children are under 3 as the coins are plastic but big enough to be swallowed so please be careful, i let my child use it under adult supervision…
The coins are very clear to read, to use, the notes are also printed on nice glossy paper for children to use whilst pretend shopping (haven’t seen any wear or tear so far)
Very pleased with this item and the value is worth i
Used these coins with my little boy to help him recognise the different coins. I prefer plastic money as I know that it is clean. Good amount of each and quite realistic (other than the weight). Have mistaken a few coins for the real thing. The notes could have been improved by being of a similar size to a real note (they’re smaller) but otherwise very good.
