Purchased this to replace my tablet that expired due to a faulty USB cable. Works well once you remove all the bloatware applications and upgrades to the latest Android 12 version flawlessly.
Bought this for my 75 year old sister. She has never joined the digital age but she loves this. I set it up for her and she has even joined Facebook. Apart from one glitch when she panicked when it wouldn’t start, everything has been fine. It wouldnt start because she had not charged it.
She is using it for photos and is now googling everything.
Great tablet for not a lot of money, was thinking of getting a second user product, however, this represents good value for money, added a separate keyboard and Mouse via Bluetooth, what’s not to like….
My neighbour helped me to set it up and it was compatible with my mobile that made data transfer easier. Still trying to learn how to use it not being technically minded.
Great screen size, quick, easy set-up, I was up & away within minutes.
I use this tab for work, study and it performs admirably with a nice 10 inch screen so I am not squinting.
I can use multiple screens at one flip them around for presentation purposes.
Great tab. basically does all it claims to do. Happy days really.
Good quality tablet, good value for money, screen size is large enough to watch videos, clear resolution. Easy to use for kids, I just moved Home Screen about so all his apps were on the first page. Camera is ok, not the clearest picture but overall a good wee tablet.
We gone back to lenovo brand after trying other bands. Easy to use, Google play, good storage, like the larger screen. Light weight. Case / covers/ screen protector easy to get hold of. Runs YouTube/disney/Netflix/sky go with no issues and plenty of games in play store. Can set parental settings too.
Bought for myself after purchasing an identical tab as a gift for a relative. It’s a bit of an indulgence given that I already had a good laptop, but it’s very good for playing Android games as a much bigger alternative to the phone, and was a piece of cake to navigate given its similarity to my existing Android handset. A good bit of kit and sometimes preferable to relax with in the lounge of an evening to the more bulky laptop.
here are more powerful tablets out there it goes without saying but if wanting one for browsing the web and your social accounts and the occasional game before falling asleep using it to watch YouTube then for the price id say absolutely go for it very happy with mine. build quality and feel seem much higher than i expected for the price!
Bought as a present which was well received. The picture quality both static and movies as good. Generally it is easy to set up and move from the old unit to this. Overall worthwhile.
I brought this to replace and HD fire 10 as It was getting really slow, and did not run al the apps I required. When I first got this battery life was ok, after a couple of weeks it started to drain even when not used. i read a lot online and tried most of the fixes, i even uninstalled all my apps, turned of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and put it in power saving mode. nothing helped. as a last resort I reset it back to factory conditions, When running through the setup there was a check box that said something like stop apps accessing the internet when not in use. I have all my apps on now and battery life is now OK. I;m Pleased With the pad. for the money you cant go far wrong.
Tablet is good for the price for media consumption (I use mine for streaming from my Plex server plus reading comics from marvel unlimited)
Nice clear bright display and responsive
The image on the listing for the promotional free smart clock however is not legit, Lenovo decline the claim as ‘tek shop’ are not a seller on their list, only Amazon directly, who do not even sell this tablet…
Great screen, excellent sound quality, as easy to use as my phone. The battery life is exceptional – i can watch several hours of streaming using my phone as a hotspot and still have over 75% of the battery left. I only need to charge it every 3-4 days. I work nights and use it during quiet periods at work to watch disney+ netflix etc.
If i have any criticism it’s the stupid screen gesture thing it comes set up with. To return it to the usual 3 buttons you have on an android phone screen is crazily and cryptically buried in menus. Even if you search for the right thing it doesn’t return the right page and you really have to root around to find the setting which is under an identical heading for the setting that doesn’t contain it. I have no idea why. Once set to normal android mode operating it is much simpler as I found the gesture thing unreliable and sluggish.
The other criticism is that you cannot change the launcher, meaning you cannot customise icons. I tried installing Microsoft launcher as on my phone and whilst it works, after 30 seconds or so it reverts by itself to its own Lenovo launcher, resetting any changes you have made in a different launcher.
That’s all kind of by the by though as for the price – I paid 150 for “used -like new” and it was actually brand new and sealed in the box with the film still on the screen so for the price a real bargain. I chose it over a Kindle Fire HD which would have been the perfect size as i was worried about not being able to get certain apps as they don’t use the normal Google Play Store. I’d seen videos about installing them as apks but I didn’t want the hassle. Shame as an 8″ screen would have been perfect for me. Never mind, this screen is great and the sound is plenty good enough and loud enough.
It’s pretty quick and responsive once you have got all the various updates installed. I haven’t noticed any lag that some reviewers have spoken of. OK it’s not ultra responsive in an instant with zero delay like a flagship phone but it’s by no means slow or laggy and I certainly wouldn’t pay 3x as much for that split second faster response, esp as I only need it for streaming. I’ve watched a star wars movie on disney+, streamed the darts premier league from Sky Sports app, watched Youtube videos etc all very happily. Highly recommend this tablet.
Straight forward, if this for any thing other than Social Media Apps, reading news, watching YouTube, Netflix, prime video or similar then don’t think about it. And buy something else.
its Android with 4gb Ram so some tasks will feel slow. And for its price its fair deal.
Enjoy
I found the initial setting up easier than in the past with other suppliers tablets and pads. I had to do some ‘take a chance’ on what I choose as my knowlwdge with sites etc is limited but it seemed to set up ok. The transfer of info from my phone went well but some sites were missing. When I reopened the tablet to check if it was set up ok was when I had the problems. Not knowing much about how to get the sites that you need I again did guest work but it went well and from my past experience reasonable easy. I am so far satisfied and can get what I bought the tablet for. The price was good. The cheapest I found. So, keep taking the tablets to get bette
When setting up the device I was considering returning it due to how unresponsive it was. However after getting all the updates out of the way (had to update it about 3 or 4 times consecutively for some reason), and after it finished downloading BLOATWARE, I uninstalled all the bloatware and restarted it after the updates when prompted, and now it is actually usable. With my own apps downloaded, the tablet is now responsive.
The screen is really good for the price – despite it being only 2K at 10.6 inches, it still looks good, as well as the colours.
The 4GB RAM does the tablet good too with it now slowing down much despite a lot of apps in the background.
The Android experience is mostly stock Android 12L with the exception of the bloatware that had to be uninstalled (but hey at least they could be uninstalled unlike Samsung’s bloatware).
The build quality is good too and is not plastic as far as I can tell. Its like 3/4 metal and then theres a strip thats kind of like fabric – it doesn’t feel cheap though. The bezels aren’t big either.
It sounds brilliant too with 4 speakers, 2 on each side.
Overall I am pleased with the tablet and I would recommend it given the price!
No instructions in the box. Best source of info for the hardware buttons is to go to the Amazon description page. Helps if you’ve had a Levono tab before. Set-up is a nightmare; not at all intuitive. Best thing is to let it download all the updates and apps it wants to before you try to personalise it. You can remove all the unnecessary apps later. Couldn’t load Facebook at all; still working on it. Having said that, it’s a very nice tablet and only half the price of the similar model I bought 4 years ago.
Good, value-for-money tablet that, whilst not an exceptionally fast machine, is more than adequate for a reliable, solid, well-functioned machine.
The screen quality is very good (incl. for movies) and, via the Google Play / Store one has a vast number of applications one can access.
For work / play / both it’s an easy recommendation.
Android 12 is not a major advance on prior operating systems but generally functions well.
Advice is to go for AT LEAST 64 GB of on-board storage (ideally 128GB) as one uses up storage very quickly with the increasingly larger app’s one needs to use. Good advice, this … take note.
It’s thin, elegant and whilst not featherweight, is light enough to easily carry around. It also has a variety of cheap, value-for-money covers to protect it which one can easily purchase.
I can recommend buying this product easily if one wishes for a solid, good, average performance tablet. Hard to go wrong here.
