Just tested it with v90 ssd cards and achieved around 189-196MB/s transfers to my Nuc11. Previously got 20-22MB/s with a belkin multi port usb hub – also via usb-c and using the same cards.
This is a very high quality and fast SD card that I bought two of for my camera.
I’m going to buy more for the GoPro and drone! Really good quality
I have a lot of them that I switch around with. The clarity is good but is that because of the camera. The handle well when I all am taking wildlife shoots. It handles the sixteen or more shots no problem that I push it to do. Storage is always good even when it’s pushed to its maximum
Great value in these V60 sd cards. Well worth the money. They are backwards compatible so will work in cameras that inly support V30 or UHS-1 but the transfer speeds are superb. Highly recommended!
If you need v60 spec as you do these are great vfm with very good specifications that hold true in the real world where I shoot weddings in 4k 50fps at 150mb/s
I have been a professional photographer for 30 years so getting the right gear in important, this card has so far worked perfectly, it’s fast and reliable, which is all I need.
Have purchased several of these cards for my Fuji X-T5 after having bad experiences with SanDisk, great value for money and fast enough for high bitrate 4K 60fps video recording and also for burst photo shooting. Just make sure you also have a UHS-II compatible card reader otherwise you won’t get the benefits.
Not a lot that I can say as it’s a UHSII SD card. Bought to use with an Olympus OMD E M1 MKII, So far so good therefore bought the 128 GB version on Amazon Prime Day.
I was using my original SD card in a 750D and upgraded to a 90D. Found the images struggled on the SD card, did a bit af reading and found this card ideal, Have tried it out and writed to the card very quickly and with ot any issues.
I took advantage of the high speed of this card to use on my Sony A7r3, standard cards can’t write data quickly enough when using the high speed shooting modes.
No brainer for the price.
I have always used the Lexar brand of SD Card. They have never failed me and I always feel confident in photographing weddings with them.
The read speed is fast and allows me to have a larger buffer run on my camera, especially when you need a quick burst of photos.
Product would have been delivered the day after ordering, but rescheduled until a day I would be at home.
Product as expected, but have not had the chance to use as yet.
I’m going on a long holiday later this year and thought I might benefit from a bigger SD card for my camera. This one attracted my attention as it was on offer and from a well known manufacturer.
I have used it for wildlife photography several times already but last weekend I used it at an air show where I took more than 2000 images, shooting sequences of 5-10 images, and it worked flawlessly. Image files are transferred from the camera to my PC very quickly with a constant transfer rate and no slowing down
One problem I did experience at the air show is that the second card in my camera (64GB) filled up and I had to fit a spare to continue. The solution – buy another of these so I now have two 🙂
This is my second one it has 128gbts of memory the quality of sound and Vision is top class and I record in 4k it is used at least once a week for filming Videos and I also take Photos of the Artists and the surroundings although I would like to point out not an expert on Photos am on videos and this for me is amazing Value I will use no other Card again this is the one for me Exceptional Value for money and I have the first card for a year now which is why I waited for to give a review, believe me, if you want one get it you should based on my experience never look back the difference is fractional to Seagate almost none in quality of film, and the cost difference is a big saving my next one will be a 256 🙂
I am an amateur photographer and I have several memory card readers but some of them are cheap and failed after some time. I did a good research and Lexar card reader came on top of my list as I didn’t need 20 in 1 etc I have SD cards in my Nikon D750 and D7200. So use micro SD cards for mobiles and my security cameras. Therefore I was only looking for card reader that is small in foot print, fast, reliable and cost effective. I picked this one up on Amazon Day sale and I am glad that I chose this.
It is fast and Lexar is a very well known and trusted brand in photographic community. I particularly love that the base has a good weight to it so it stays where you put it unlike the plasticy cheaper version that get dragged by USB cable. I can insert and eject card with on hand as it is very sturdy.
Money well spent.
Well, this SD card is a good one given its low cost compared to other brands. I have done some read/write tests and compared it with my old SanDisk v30 UHS-I as seen in the photographs (please note that I have removed the serial no. from the photographs). I have used 100 samples files for read/write and iterated this 15 times and I got the results shown in the photographs, then I compared them to my old SanDisk and you can see the difference..
Read speed is almost the same an average of 94MB/s, the write speed was doubled with LeXar which expected and was constant at an average of almost 90MB/s which is not bad.. But of course is not as claimed on the package from the manufacturer which is up to 250 MB/s for read, but it is close enough to the write speed (94MB/s to 120 MB/s).
In conclusion this is a good SD card for cameras (Videography) and will not let you down based on the above tests, made in Taiwan and durable. I highly recommend it given its low cost. I would like to test the V90 2000x and see the performance and differences, but it’s expensive for me… I hope this review to be helpful.
A nicely compact card reader supporting three sizes, capable of very fast transfer speeds, which will depend on:
1. The memory cards you’re using are capable of fast reads: 1000x (150MB/s) to 2000x (300MB/s) rated cards would be in that ballpark.
2. The port that you plug the reader into is USB 3.0 or better; USB 3.0 supports throughput of up to 600MB/s, far outclassing USB 2.0 ports that can only manage 60MB/s… so you can see if you’ve got a memory card that can be read at, say, 300MB/s, plugging the reader into an older port is going to be your bottleneck.
3. The drive you’re *writing* data to has to be able to keep up. If you’re writing to a mechanical drive, even the fastest ones will max out at 160MB/s, but more likely be around half that at 80MB/s; this is why having an SSD is necessary since they can have data written to them at rates of 200 ~ 550MB/s.
So: a fast card reader alone isn’t always going to speed up your workflow – you need to pay attention to all the links in the process.
If you DO have those elements, I can personally attest that using 150MB/s rated memory cards, writing to my SSD using this Lexar 3-in-1 reader results in transfer rates of 140MB/s, since there’s always a little slowdown due to processing overhead.
