This is perfect birthday gift for my eight year old. He always love to have sword and was so delighted to have it on his big day. Most “toy replica” non branded Light Sabres or “Space laser swords” are made of cheap plastic, look terrible and do not last long at all. This is very different, with a full metal sword hilt that contains the speaker for the sounds of the sabre and provides the light and the main controls. The hilt has a good weight to it, and you can feel this is where the pricing is justified. The plastic “sword” is rather short but is a high quality plastic can can withstand playfighting. The sounds are authentic, there is the energy hum of when it is light, and when “hit” it will flash and sound like a light sabre hit. The colour can be changed with a quick 2X Tap of the power button for the various colour options, holding the power button down will turn it off. Sadly it does have one annoying sound which is played with every move or swish of the sword to replicate deflecting of blaster fire but it does happen with every move…which is annoying. Charged by USB and not battery powered, this will operate hours before needed a recharge. For the asking price, a solid item for any Star Wars fan young or adult…impressive for a non officially branded product.
Came well packaged . A lot shorter than my other light sabers, but this is reflected in the price. Hilt looks solid and well designed . Multiple combinations for lighting and sound and is sturdy enough for battles . Nice sabe

Once you have established that the force is with you, calibrate the colour for being a Jedi or a Sith, insert the plastic tube and away you go!
This is the perfect accessory for that themed or costume party – or for the Star Wars fan that just wants a working light sabre to keep on the wall or shelf. Easy to switch on, the light fills the plastic tube and the sabre sound is present… and here comes the first problem: the sound is a bit tinny, which is due of necessity to the size of the speaker. For the audio to be better I suspect that there would have to be an expensive upgrade.
I love the fact that it responds to movement or strikes and, for a couple of minutes, it is good fun and great to play with.
So I see this as something that will have its moments and then will sit on display…
For children it is bound to be a different story. The constant sabre noise is potentially really annoying (my wife would disagree with me putting the word “potentially” in this sentence), so have somewhere to send your child. The constant swinging the blade and striking against various objects also has the potential (yes, that word again) for mass destruction worthy of a Death Star.
So, caveat emptor… but I have to admit that the kid in me finds this great fun – go for it and enjoy it for a short term but accept that you need to have a space to keep it in.
The Light Saber is a good alternative to the official Star Wars branded lightsabers, which are not only a tad more expensive, but also battery operated.
Firstly, the build quality and finish on these are top-notch, It’s well balanced and extremely sturdy. The metal hilt has a good weight to it and feels smooth. It incorporates indents and grooves that give it that authentic look.
The blade is made of a strong, durable thick plastic that is made to take impacts so that you can duel with confidence knowing that the blade won’t bend or break.
The blade does, of course, have a rounded tip, as to avoid any accidental poking and is well illuminated when fired up. The hilt houses the USB charger port and a single button that controls not only the lights but also the modes, colours, sounds.
Initially, it can be a bit tricky trying to figure out when, either on or off, and for how long, either 1,2 or 3 seconds, you need to keep the button pressed to access its various modes. Even now, after owning the Saber for a little almost a month, I still find it a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately, the supplied instructions will leave you more confused than enlightened.Nonetheless, the Saber is indeed good fun. Forget the kids, even I’ve been prancing around the house, brandishing the Saber imitating Obi-Wan Kenobi
This is a bit of an odd device; at just 2’/60cm, it’s very definitely sized for children rather than adults – it’s around 15″/40cm shorter than a “real” lightsaber would be.
But at the same time, the machined aluminium handle is done to a high standard – and perhaps isn’t something to let an overly enthusiastic young padawan swing around near anything fragile or valuable!
With that said, the relatively small size could actually make it ideal for cosplay, since it’s a lot less cumbersome than a full size saber. Just expect to hear a lot of comments about how size doesn’t matter…
(Equally, the handle is more than long enough for adults, and the “blade” could potentially be replaced with something longer, though I haven’t tried searching for such…)
Beyond that, it’s USB chargable and comes with the usual set of light and sound options; the latter are a bit underwhelming – as per my video – but it’s overall a fun enough little toy. Just be prepared to brush up on your Space Balls quotes…
Hi, a good quality lightsaber, a nice metal handle that feels solid and comfortable and it’s rechargeable and with a few presses ,it can go into a battle mode with sound effects and lights or to a colour display that’s nice and bright, it is small but would suit a young kid or as a display piece, I’ve paid more for plastic ones that don’t feel as good
It’s rather short but it has good weight on it.
The noise is a bit annoying I prefer play without it. (You can turn the noise off by clicking the button 4 times quickly.)
It comes with the instruction, worth reading it so you know how to change colour, fighting mode on and turn the noise off.
It’s a good size for a 8 years old and he is very happy with it.
I am really impressed with how much this lightsaber offers at the 25 price point.
First of all (and probably most intentionally) this makes for a great toy with the sound effects and its colour changing ability. It would keep kids entertained for hours if you bought a couple and let them act out some Star Wars scenes in the garden!… To be honest… It would keep me entertained too!
And secondly it makes for a great quirky display item above some glass shelves in the ‘man cave’. If you’re like me and have some geeky collectable figures then this makes for a super cool atmospheric light to showcase your prized possessions… And the rechargeable battery is an added bonus.
The force is certainly strong with this one!!
It is small and not an adults toy, infact my 12 year old said it was too babyish but is perfect for my 5 year. It was easy to set it up using the key provided. They are cheaper than most sabers we have been looking around for, They did have fun playing around with it but we will now be getting a longer one soon.
The lightsaber has a choice of 7 colours which look fantastic and allow me to choose between a wide variety of colours to personalise my experience.
Additionally, the inclusion of combat sound effects that match my movements has added an unparalleled level of immersion to my battles which occur when the kids are in bed, generally in my kitchen and definitely when no one is watching!
The lightsaber’s 63cm length is perfect for my size and that of a child, and provides ample reach during sparring.
The aluminium alloy handle is incredibly sturdy, making the weapon feel authentic and well crafted.
The light transmitting durable PC material ensures that the blade is resistant to damage, adding to the overall quality of the product.
The battery is a great plus point and gives me 2-3 hours of uninterrupted play for a 3-4 hour charge. which is perfect for extended sessions.

Yeah I’m sorry I know it was built for a kid and I’m a grown teenager buying a light saber haha I wish I looked at the dimensions for the blade because I didn’t realise it was a bit small, so due to my mistake does anyone know if I’m able to buy just a separate bigger blade?
Nice and solid metal body and durable plastic blade body, no sharp edges and rounded point which is safe for young children. Amazing sound effect and changeable colour blade with single button operation, battery last all day and recharge via the USB cable.
Just the right length blade for young kids, will take a lot of beating and last a long time. Colour shows in day time but it is a different animal when the lights are off. It comes in 2 parts in the box and included small hex key and scred to fix together easily.
My son has loved this light saber since he opened it.
