Was expecting a politically correct female based extension of the original black panther. (The same direction as the latest Thor movie.)
Thank you Marvel for not going down that path. Very enjoyable.

This movie proves Marvel studios is more than capable of making an epic sequel even if the lead actor from the previous film passes away. My son thinks this movie was just as good, if not better than the first Black Panther movie.

A lot of reviewers seem to take this film to task over the pacing and plot, the scriptwriters were faced with a gargantuan problem, the unfortunate death of the lead actor forced a situation rarely seen in the film industry, do you replace the lead or kill off the character? They took the latter path as I think any actor taking on this role would be damned and praised in equal measure. having decided on this, it appears the original plot was kept and adapted into the screenplay. making his sister into the new black panther has to take it’s time, that is why the film seems to dawdle along in-between the action sequences, she has to go through the hero’s journey of self discovery or the plot would look too rushed, a lot of additional footage was added to pay homage to Mr Boseman who made the role his own. what people must understand is, in the Marvel universe each film is a set up for the next one in a series, thus a great deal of plot issues have to resolved before you can move on. having said all that, my wife and I watched this together and found it fascinating and sad, the actors portraying their roles seem genuinely committed and find it difficult to sustain themselves during a very strained shooting schedule, by the end though everyone concerned appeared to get the story in gear in order to make their own mark. I did not expect anything too amazing, but the film was pretty much as I expected it to be, all in all a courageous effort trying to keep all the scenes stitched together and meaningful, as usual, my answer is, if you can do better under the circumstances, write your own plot, plenty of people will pick holes in it. Anyway, the CGI and mechanical effects are up to the usual standard, water is the most difficult, but they seemed to get this more or less right, watch out for Wakanda technology, it’s very close to Federation standards, warp drive next?
