This is a large heavy item – much more substantial than I thought – but better that way than ending up with a flimsy thing that isn’t up to the job. Bit stiff at first but soon freed up a bit. See how it holds up to the UK weather over the next few months.
Good solid padlock bought for my shed. Sturdy and easy to use. Only downside is the rubber flap that keeps the weather of the combination mechanism fell off on day two. To be fair it was a bit faffy and probably more effective to just give a squirt of WD40 or GT85 from time to time. Number line is off set, presumably to make it easier to use if is at shed latch height. However if you put in on the wrong way round, it makes it harder. I would have preferred the number line in the centre. Other than these minor quirks it is fine.
Not much to say, used this for over 6 months outdoors so far with no issues. Give it the occasional spray with WD-40 every now and again but the dials spin flawlessly and no rust in sight.
Needed an outside combination lock for my shed. Very easy to use and seems sturdy. Rubber pad that covers the numbers is very loose and doesn’t seem weather tight. Some people in YouTube can pick these easily so wouldn’t use to keep thousands of pounds worth save but works for me as a simple lock.
My second master combo lock first one still in good shape even after several years of heavy usage just needs the occasional squirt with WD now and then find the combination numbers quite easy to see even in poor light good strong lock used on back garden gate
Works well. I’ve been using it to lock by bike at my local Gym for some time with it left outside and haven’t had any problems so far. The combination feature is really convenient and easy to set.
here a few poor reviews for this lock but i have had no issues, its not going to stop a pro breaking in but its a tough padlock and works well
The combination is on the bottom and is covered with a rubber flap that you just pull open and press back after use. This seems a nice addition to me as can only help to protect from the elements.
The combination location though i find a little harder to operate than the previous combination lock i had where the turn dials were on the side of the padlock and could be gripped from either side so were very easy to turn though admittedly it wasn’t nearly as strong a lock.
The number dials are the reason i have reduced this to 4 stars though. They are quite flat to the base, don’t stick out much so if your hands are wet they are a bit more difficult to turn. One lock i got is perfect and the dials all turn nice and smoothly but the second, the the first 2 turn smoothly, the 3rd a bit stiffer but the 4th can be very difficult to turn at times and is stiff which results I’m me often not even changing this number as its annoying trying to set it.
If it wasn’t for my experience with the dial on that padlock i would have awarded 5 star while i wait to see how weather effects them over time.
Overall it is a sturdy lock and good design though.
