Iv just bought another 2 had these on my gates for over 2yrs UK weather sucks lol they don’t rust and all ways work never jam or get sticky most of all don’t rust. Would highly recommend very secure.
I only wanted one padlock but most seem to be sold in pairs. The padlock is strong and does the job and supplied with a spare key which is good. The problem was getting them off the backing card which was so difficult. I had to get other tools out to prise them off and was in danger of injuring myself! I don’t know why they had to be so securely fixed.
Very sturdy locks, but prone to rain passing right through and dripping out of the keyhole. Push to lock works well but the key requires a bit of wiggling to get it to open. Overall good value though.
Feels strong and smooth to open with keys, the keys were all the same for both which was a shame but I diditnrrad full description so not sure if it mentions that.
Been through heavy rain and snow now with this lock and the only thing is the waterproof cover over the bottom has started bending away allowing water into the key slot.
Has not affected its operation at all so fairly happy with it still.
They are well made and are solid locks. We have used these for a couple of days, today’s date 13 Jan 2021, and so far so good. They don’t look like the type that would deteriorate in weather… but our old ones (same brand and type) we used for over 10 years became difficult to open so we reordered them because these locks are difficult to break so we like this lock. Will update if or when the weatherproof of these particular locks appears to change.
Two locks have four identical keys. Packaged very well. Took me ages to prize open the keys on the packaging. It nearly broke my heavy duty scissors! But I liked the way the key teeth’s we’re protected. Was very satisfying when I was able to get the keys out and when I clicked the locks out of the packaging.
The locks look study and should do the job. The packaging is crazy and very difficult to extract the locks from it. It is dangerous as you need to use a number of sharp tools to do the job. I am not sure why you need four keys that are all the same
Great quality padlocks, bought to replace an Amtech one at 5 which broke pretty much immediately. Reading reviews of pretty much any outdoor lock will put you off each of them given the amount of 1* reviews, but I’m glad I decided on this one regardless. Time will tell how it holds up but so far it’s been exposed to torrential rain for pretty much 3 weeks and still looks and works like its brand new out of the packet. Great value for money as well, very highly recommended
The locks feel strong and the waterproof casing protects the metal lock and it’s internals. Turning the key is a tough to do and sometimes takes a couple of goes but I am impressed with it overall.
I would have liked to see another pin to truly make this a really secure lock, but for the price point these are good.
I have several Master Lock padlock and I will continue to buy them for securing my property.
4 keys came with the 2 locks and i was surprised that all 4 keys work in the 2 locks, which is good because you haven’t got to individually mark which 2 keys are for which lock.
Only a problem if you are giving one of the locks to somebody else and therefore all the keys open both locks, but i cant imagine many people doing this.
Price for the 2, i thought, was exceptional value for a good brand like this and as i say, they seem very good quality, so i would highly recommend this as a purchase if you require some locks.
The padlocks look and feel solid. All 4 keys work in both padlocks. The only slight issue is that all the keys seem to stick when removing them when the lock is closed. However the keys comes out smoothly if removed with the padlock open, but can be closed without the key in it.
Having used several “weatherproof” padlocks from other manufacturers, none of which have lasted and several of which started leaking rust within 6 months, decided to invest in something more robust.
I’ve had these on my garden shed and gate for the past 6 months, and they’re still pristine. Properly weatherproof, rather than just a padlock in a rubber sleeve – every part of these, from the keyhole (which is covered with a convenient plastic flap) to the shackle feels like it was made for outside use, and will last a considerable amount of time. The convenience of having keyed alike (same key opens all locks) padlocks is a godsend as well!
