Useless Gloves
The included gloves are USELESS-they got sliced on first use!!! I am lucky to still my fingers!! The mandolin itsel is EXCELLENT but you should get a third party pair of high quality gloves, perhaps even chainmail ones!
Bought it to julienne potatoes to air fry some French fries.
I can blitz through loads of potatoes in a minute. Much faster than with a knife and less wastage too.

Wanted it mainly for slicing cabbage v thinly, it did. However found the black piece of kit meant to hold the food to be sliced cumbersome and unnecessary so just used the gloves as a precaution. Worked well.
Having the gloves that came with this is essential for me. I have cut myself on a mandolin previously and am nervous but it is so useful I was prepared to try again. The protective gloves make all the difference. This one does slices of various thickness and juliennes.
The more you cook (fresh food), the more you need this thing for food preparation.
It saves lots of time – for traditional grater users, everyday veggie preparation
with a grater, just feels strange-once you implement this tool in your daily life
you can not separate from it. This one is compact and the knife set is organised so well.

I really like this tool. I have not yet used the crinkle cut tool or the slicer but I have used the grater and the larger juliann inserts. The grater is perfect. The juliann tool (large) cut much smaller than I expected, but that’s nothing of major concern. I haven’t used the small juliann tool yet, but I suspect it’ll be just as easy to use and much, much finer.
All in all, very impressed. Suction base is very strong and the whole item can be easily dismantled, washed and rebuilt.
