I had a pouch for my key and as the wife now has a keyless car I thought it would be better/nicer to have this. Good quality and looks like an ornament sat on the unit in the hall.
Hi, this item provides excellent protection for your car. Tested it out on two cars, and even with the lid slightly open it still worked. The material is soft to the touch. Looks more expensive than it actually is. Highly recommend.

I wasn’t expecting too much in all honesty, but the quality of the box actually looks and feels really good. The box is a great size, I use this for my car keys. Also tested the technology within the box, which seems to work really well. I’ve been looking at different boxes for a while now, and totally glad I brought this one. The colour is perfect! Needless to say, it doesn’t look a cheap item when displayed at home.
It’s that good, I’m looking to purchase a second one.
Tested with car keys in box for door open and it does what it said. However the little hook is broken when unbox, does not affect the protection just not a good quality for the lock material.

Having put keys in the box and walked it out to the car I could not open the car door. Pass. Hope it stays like that (I’ll check every few months in case opening and closing wears out the material and causes signal leakage). BTW this is described as a “large” box, it is in fact small. OK for some car keys which I guess is why you are buying it. A smartphone won’t fit it in and nor would a wallet or purse Overall, a touch pricey for what it is.
This box looks elegant and not out of place on a hallway dresser. Descreet and not clunky. I feel much safer with it now that my car keys are in as soon as I walk in the door.
I bought this box a couple of weeks ago but only just got my car so couldn’t really review.
I picked my car up yesterday so thought I’d check to see if the box actually works….. it does! I left the key in the box when I went out to it and definitely 100% would not detect the key, I opened the box but left the key in it and the car detected it. Nice looking box and built quality. Would definitely recommend.
I also tried like the other people mentioned in their reviews and I can say this box is very safe to keep your car keys safe from criminals to connect their devices with your keys to get an access in your car. Box is beautifully designed. I am very satisfied so far.
The walls are quite thick so the insides are bit smaller tan expected. Non the less, both set of car keys do fit with some keys attached to them.
In terms of signal blocking it works great. Tested right next to my car with the box closed and doors were locked. As soon as I open the box – car unlocks.
I was looking for a faraday box to prevent auto-theft following a recent incident of relay breakin along our street. Found this on Amazon as a practical solution. The large size box is perfect for several sets of car keys – but what was surprising is the fantastic quality and finishing of the box – really nice leather exterior, beautifully lined, snug fitting lid, and cool retro-style clasp. Highly recommended.
I’m really impressed with this, I have a new car with keyless technology and was quite paranoid about where I was leaving my car keys. Only ever used pouches before, but decided to look for a more permanent box that could stay on the side and be the key place. But all the boxes I was looking at were just black, soulless boxes. I like to have ornaments and nice things especially with a rustic or vintage feel, and when I saw this box I thought this might fit in nicely. I have to say it exceeded all my expectations, when it arrived it was much nicer and sturdier than it looked in the picture, you can really feel that the effort has been made by the maker. My friend even commented on what a nice little box it was, thinking I had just bought it for decoration. It feels lovely like a soft leather and just looks great. Five stars, so impressed
This is a quality product, well constructed and will last a lifetime. I wasn’t going to buy a Faraday box until yesterday when my mate came with his brand new car and wanted to see my Faraday pouches, I been using since my car was stolen in 2017 by cloning the key fob.
To my HORROR my Defender Signal Blocker which is recommended by all leading reviews website ( such as auto express.co.uk) as the best one to buy, DIDN’T WORK. I’ve being using these pouches religiously every single day thinking I was protecting my vehicle from being stolen. Don’t believe me, see if your pouches STILL WORKS after a few years.
To the product, I chose this mainly due to the fact the RF shielding inside the box is a lot thicker than others, so hopefully will give better protection. This product is beautifully made holding 2 sets of key fobs no problem. Would fit 3 keys sets many be 4, but this seller sells a larger black box which will easily hold 5/6 keys sets.
I’m well impressed, so much so I purchased one the next day for my parents as they have told me their Defender pouches DON’T work either after 2 years. You have been warned, go and check your current pouches still block the signal. Highly recommend, and don’t forget to protect your spare key fobs, so brought another box. I’ve always used a pouch but found that occasionally it would allow a signal to transmit if next to the vehicle, so bought this little gem and tested it thoroughly. Even sitting inside the vehicle with the key in the box, and the box held to the receiver on the steering column, it couldn’t recognise the key to put the ignition on. It’s a no braine

We had bought this for the specific purpose of blocking the remote key features for our 2 cars. Smaller than my minds-eye claimed….but it holds my key with keyrings. Could do without the life letter from seller in the product. It does it’s job that’s all I want and it looks nice on the shelf

As for being able to block a signal,? Well I can’t tell you that because I don’t know how I’d find that out. I suppose still having our cars parked outside might mean the box works, or it could just mean any theives haven’t been around my area yet.
Really love the stylish looking Faraday box as the leather material and colour fits well with the rest of the products in our hallway , size of the box is very useful as previously bought boxes from other sellers were a bit large whilst this box sits well on the consiole table and easily can store 3/4 car keys which in most cases is more than enough , prompt same day delivery and great communication from the seller as there was a personal note included with the produc
It’s a fairly decent box, but the clasp is awful, and the size is small. Although I knew the size, I didn’t appreciate how small it is when you have other keys on your car keys. So keep that in mind.
Overall, happy with the purchase, but I wish I’d gone for a bigger version, and I took the pointless clasp off.
Easily fits both of my keyless cards, have taken the box with keys within out to the car and does not open so hopeful this will prevent any hijacking of the signal. Construction seems solid and well finished, for less than 20 it’s a bargain.
Only dislike is the catch, could be more simple no need for the pin. I also find you have to hold the base when opening the lid to stop the whole box lifting.
UPDATE – catch has now failed after daily use, simply falling off which I actually now prefer!
Was a little concerned at some reports stating that this didn’t appear to block the signal but I tried it as soon as received with both my normal key and the key card thingy that BMW do now inside and deffo blocks the signal right next to the car. Even the large size isn’t particularly big if you have multiple cars with key on a bigger bunch so may need to consider more than one. Overall, very happy.
This box is well worth it’s money. It looks really sweet on the side table with a lovely little catch.

The first thing my husband did was put the key in the box and went to the car. The car didn’t respond. He then opened the box and the car unlocked. He was very impressed (which takes a lot !)

I have been really very surprised at the quality and construction of this box after six months daily use, especially given the relatively low price and so would heartily recommend it. I have tested it by holding the box next to the car, no response from the comfort locking on either our BMW’s or Mercedes. In total we are using it to hold 6 remote keys, which it does snuggly. Been one of the best value for money buys made in years.
Good solution for storing keys safely. It works to block signals. Material used on the inside is of good quality.
My only gripe is the sharp edges on the metal latch. It has cut me a few times already, what is the purpose of this latch? Do away with it and rely on the snug fit closure. It isn’t a safety device to prevent people going in as anyone who would want to break into the box could do with ease.
Lovely finish to the box, has a double lock so even if it fell off a unit it wouldn’t open by itself.
Tested it – put keys in the box and stood next to the car; keyless entry didn’t work. So the Faraday shielding is effective.
We bought the ‘large’ box and it will accommodate two fobs with extra keys on the ring easily; you could put three in if they were the only key on the ring.
Fits my car keys and a couple of other things nicely. Works really well. I took the box with my keys in right next to my car and tried to open it and there was no signal at all from the keys. It’s nicely made and the lid fits nice and snug. In fact I’m going to take the metal clasp off it as it’s a bit fiddly and unnecessary as the lid fits nice and tight without it. The box is very well made, looks good and fits in really well in the house, the clasp on tue front is well made and works very well. My.main concern was that the box did what it was supposed to do. So I put my car keys in it and walked out to the car, & I can say it worked perfectly. The car would normally open up on approach but even stood right next to the door it didn’t work, removing the keys from the box the car opened instantly. Couldn’t be happier overall with the product. It comfortably fits my keys inside and would probably.fit another car key in too.
Really good product. I bought it because of a spike in keyless car thefts in the area. Police advice on the Internet was to acquire a ‘Faraday Cage’ storage box for car keys and to test whether it works by placing kar keys in it and attempting to lock and unlock the car. This is actually impossible unless you’re a mouse because you need the lid of the box open to operate the key and with the lid open the box obviously will fail. The simple way is to unlock the car, get in, put the keys in the box and close the lid, and then attempt to start the car. The box worked perfectly. The car wouldn’t start and I got the message “key not present” even though the box was on my lap in the drivers seat. My BMW key – which on its own is quite large – is on a substantial bunch of keys but there was plenty of room in the box.
The box looks smart. It is a bit smaller than I expected; it’s a struggle to fit two lots of keys and 2 spare car keys in. I would think most people have house keys and car keys on the same ring, so could do to be a couple of centimetres bigger. The little metal flap that closes the box is fairly flimsy, so not sure how long it will last, but doing the job at the moment.
The box is nice looking and it certainly blocks the signal. But there is a snag… it is a light box and the lid fit is very snug which means you need 2 hands to open the box. Not so easy when you’ve got keys in one hand and bags in the other. I solved it with some velco on the underside to stick it to a table, but a little extra weight in the bottom so you can lift the lid with one hand would have given it the extra star.
The box is well made and unobtrusive. Whether it would withstand the electronic attack of a tech minded car thief I don’t know! As far as I’m aware nobody has tried to steal our cars by this method yet. We have three cars in our household and if extra items like keys and mini supermarket loyalty tabs are added to the key fob remote, there’s no room for more than three sets to be stored in this box (which is fine for our situation).
The item was delivered on time and, as another reviewer noted, a very nice letter from Lily who makes the boxes was in the packaging. The box is very well made and seems very secure. We tested out keys inside the box and could not activate car door opening on both cars, 1 is a mini, the other is a BMW X1. So very pleased that we feel a little more secure now we can keep the keys in the box. I purchased a large size box which holds 2 sets of keys and duplicate keys very easily with enough space for more small items. I would highly recommend given the technology thieves use these days.
I was initially sceptical at first, wondering if a product of this type would actually work (reading various reviews) however I’m so pleased that I purchased this particular one because it actually does! So, with both of my BMW car keys in the case, and lid closed, I held the case right up against the vehicle door handle (as I have comfort access), and to my complete surprise it did NOT unlock when I attempted to pull the door handle. I highly recommend this product, considering the spate of vehicle thefts using remote relays to steal vehicles with keyless entry, very much worth investing in one of these. Well, I must say that I’m not disappointed. The quality and style of the box is very good, and it does what it says on the tin.
With the key inside the box, even with the lid completely shut, I could not open any door on my VW with the box held an inch from the door handles and boot.
Only when I opened the lid slightly was I able to open the door.
I’m very happy with the box as clearly it does what it is meant to!
Note – if your car key is attached to a bunch of other keys, I would suggest that you buy the large box – which is actually not that large.
After hearing news of increase in car theft due to keyless entry cars, I was looking for something that would prevent my and wife’s cars from being stolen.
I came across this product on Amazon and decided to give it a go.
It is large enough to store my and my wife’s car keys as well as, the backup keys. So 4 keys in total!
I put the keys and took the box next to the cars to do some testing. I was holding the box just an inch away from my wife’s car. The keyless entry did not work while the key was in the box and just an inch away!
Tried with my car next. And for some odd reason, I was able to unlock my car while the box was up to 4-5 inches away. Any further than that and the keyless entry did not work.
Given that the keys are sitting in the middle of the living room in a Farady cage, I feel much better.
