This is a very good tin opener,so good I thought at first it hadn’t worked.Once it completes its cycle,you feel slightly less friction but because it leaves the lid sitting on top of the can,you think it hasn’t cut through..it has.Very good product.
I know I shouldn’t get excited about a tin opener. I’ve had so many crap ones so it’s hard not to. Its easy to use. It cuts the tin on the outside of the lid. It doesn’t leave a sharp edge. The best bit is that it leaves a lid to put back on the can if you don’t use all the contents. Highly recommend.
Absolutely perfect so easy to use, works like a dream. So good in fact that I didn’t even realise that I’d cut the lid off!! You won’t regret this buy.
This can opener is so easy to use.
I felt I hadn’t attached it properly but then I realized the can was turning round. It doesn’t look like it’s done anything but the top of the can lifts off without the rally sharp edges that others give you. Look forward to getting the cans now that aren’t self opening, how sad eh?!!
Time will tell how long this lasts but it’s exactly what I wanted and performs as expected.
I may buy another to leave in my camper as I use tinned food more often when away from home.
At first i thought it wasn’t working, or I was doing something wrong, because I stopped after turning it a couple of times.
Advice: complete the full rotation of the can.
The cut is made on the side of the can (not the top like traditional can openers)
Once done the can opens like a lid. No sharp edges.

I’ve never been able to work tin openers properly, I’ve no idea why, I’ve been through loads. Ordered this as the reviews seemed positive. Now I’m probably showing my age getting excited by a tin opener but this is really good! As your turning it it feels like it isn’t doing anything, as you get to the end, wind it slightly backwards and it releases the opener. Then just lift the top off! It’s hard to describe. The way it cuts it off creates lid that you can put back on the tin (the tin in my second photo it open with the lid back on!) It’s really easy to use, and the tin isn’t sharp afterwards. Highly recommend. I’ve finally found the perfect tin opener!
I honestly love this tin opener. The cut on the lid is strange inasmuch as it ‘cuts the lid out’ rather than cutting the lid off. You have to see it to know what I mean. End result is a lid which is so cleanly cut it’s not sharp and you can easily think you haven’t succeeded. The operation is smooth without the normally grinding motion you get with other tin openers. It loses a star only because its instructions aren’t clear on latching and delatching. You place the opener on the tin then give it a slight reverse to latch/despatch, when it’s on it wont come off easily without that reverse twist at the end. Practise and then show kids/elderly parents before use as they’ll get frustrated and go searching for a traditional tin opener! Brilliant product once you get the knack.

Takes very little effort to turn, the edges are crimped over after opening so super safe.
Best tin opener I’ve ever used, I have used electric ones for years due to disability and this one is easier!
This is the best tin opener, It can open Fray Bentos Pie, easily with no struggle and no sharp edges either on tin or lid, the same with any tin.
Great now I can enjoy Fray Bentos Pie without having going to the Hospital
I was very impressed at the ease of operating this can opener. I have got RA and my hands don’t work as well as they should. I can use this can opener. I really like that there are no sharp edges on the can when opened. Good product. Use every day.
