I used this product for my horse’s. It had a powerful punch of scent. Repellent of flies? To a curtain point! Flies and biting insects have been evil this year 2022. Hot weather ect.
I use this on myself and my dogs throughout the Scottish Highland midge season.
It’s a very effective repellent with a pleasant smell. I spray my hair and clothes and the dog’s fur and the midges keep their distance.
Live in very rural location with a shady porch, every time the door opens there is a queue of flys waiting to wander in. Spray this each morning around the walls and ceiling and no more fly’s gathering. Also used on wheelie bins, seating areas and patios same result significantly less flys hanging around.
Not sure if this works or not, We are surrounded with cats And they like to come into our garden, We feed wild birds so guess that’s the reason. Sprayed this around and have seen no cats for a while.
Expensive as one bottle does not go far.
We had a problem with badgers trashing our flower beds as they came through our garden from the next door field. They hate the scent of citronella. This worked brilliantly! No more badgers.
You do have to keep applying but strong smell even to me – does seem to stop the bengals coming through and over fence. Will never stop cats completely but does deter, especially if you can spray in on cat with high power water pistol like I do. Does not stop foxes tho 🙁
I use this in my garden , wash the patio down and spray it wear my dog does his toileting . Smells amazing afterwards . Bit disappointed in the price , my first few purchases it was priced roughy around 16.00 and my last purchase the price jumped up to 20
After an entire flower bed was dug up spreading earth all over the patio, The Badger Trust advised me that the smell of citronella is not liked by badgers who were the obvious culprit – a spray of citronella around the area and I’ve not had any more midnight visitors!
if you want to deter foxes its great. had problems with foxes pooping and peeing in my front and back garden. after alot of phone calls to fox guys research and digging to see what they use i came to my own conclusion to mix in a 2 ltr spray bottle 14 litre cintronella 14 ltr of jays dissinfectant and filled the rest up with hot water. if deffinatly works but has to be re applied every couple of months to be affective. great product highley reccomend if you have problems with foxes
Recently laid down some artificial grass in the kids paly areas, now a young family of foxes have decided that it was a perfect area to leave their brown sticky presents!!. Sonic scarers didn’t work so took a punt on this. They have been doing this for weeks. I don’t mind the foxes but not in the kids play areas!
Took a few applications but after a few nights no doodies lefts had a full clear week!
Smells great and noticeably reduces flies in the garden too!
Absolutely nothing to dislike here, the scent is lovely, and, for getting rid of flies out of your conservatory, it works fantastically well. We soaked a microfiber cloth in this, pegged it to the guttering outside of the conservatory, and you literally watch flies avoiding it.
OK…. this seems to be good value. It has that lemony smell. However this is already diluted and nowhere does it detail the original concentration of Citronella. So I cannot say whether this is good value or not.
This stuff is great for keeping those flies off horses, or in fact anything that you’d care to spray it on.
The citronella scent is quite nice, and lasts for quite a while. It’s safe to use on animals, and I’ve even sprayed it on clothing, backpacks and my arms at times. No ill effects and no flies either!
The 2.5l bottle should last an few years for one horse, depending on how liberal you are with it. A fine spray goes a long way.

It was perfect for the horse to help keep the flies away, strong smell which is great. It was also worth the money saves a lot buying the bigger one.
