Comfortable hadle, does open/puncture cans. Turning hadle is a bit stiff, not good for arthritics. Because it takes a bit of effort to use, It feels like teh sttle may it may break/bend soon.

It comes with spare cutting blades but I’ve lost those already, so review is based on just the tin opener.

    It works just fine.

    The end.

Well, other than to say it did need a little fiddle with it at first to make sure it was set up to cut right, then it was a buttery smooth cut through the tin.

This fell apart upon first use but after I put it back together it’s been sturdy and gets the job done. Can be a bit stiff but can’t complain otherwise

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have deliberately waited for a few months before submitting this review. This was to allow enough time for any problems that could arise.
As it happens. This can opener out performs every other manual can opener I have ever used.
The fact that it also comes with spare cutting heads[the part most likely to fail] makes this a great deal.
Better to buy one decent can opener than many that likely fail over and over again.

This opener arrived promptly in minimal packaging. It sits very comfortably in my hands & is easy to use. The spare cutters are an added bonus ( didn’t know you could have these). The price of the opener is surprisingly low considering its so well made. I have carpal tunnel & arthritis & I can use this myself rather than calling husband to do it. Highly recommended!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI can’t get overly excited at simple kitchen gadgets, it does what it needs to do which is open tins.
What it also did is teach my daughter to open them and it was a bit of a surprise that she didn’t already know at 15

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAfter years of buying modern openers that are completely ineffective, I have now found a pair that actually work! They are a good size, and feel like a quality product. The mechanism is smooth to operate and the tins/ cans open with no problem. Throw in the fact that they give you two extra spare gear wheels and it’s five stars from me.

Overall this tin opener is good value for money, it’s reasonably sturdy for the price and cuts smoothly, at least to begin with (mine’s just arrived). The packaging was very basic: literally just wrapped in bubblewrap with the two spare cutting wheels loose inside and a Made in China label prominent on the outside. The material of the handles are a little disappointing, it feels hard and very plasticky, nothing like the soft rubbery grips on more expensive models. The turning handle is similarly hard but it’s a good size and easy to manipulate. If you particularly need a better grip, this brand may not the best for you, but otherwise, it works well and seems good value at 7.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’ve had this opener for eight months now so I can finally write a review.
And it’s marvellous – does exactly what it’s supposed to do, which one would think should be expected, but I have previously bought several openers that simply don’t work or break down – especially the type that engages horizontally and takes the whole of the top of the tin off – those seem to break all the time, and don’t engage properly with slightly different tins.
This one engages vertically and is the traditional old fashioned type that just takes away the disc of metal at the top. It bites on to the edge of the tin without any need for pressure to squeeze the handles, and it takes no effort at all to turn the knob to cut the metal. Once you get all the way round, the disc drops away, unlike many openers now where they veer off the track and fails to cut the last inch.

So in summary, for a gadget with a simple job to do, this does it without fuss, and as one does not have to apply any pressure, I suspect that it will also not fall apart.
