Great tool, some work on instructions particularly on the assembly of the chain saw head would be useful hence the 4 stars. With the tool extended it is quite heavy to use. The chainsaw head is a game changer this is great for tree pruning etc.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe pole extension seems robust. The fittings are plastic so may crack or break – time will tell.
Cutting pieces are heavy to work with, especially when used horizontally rather than vertically. I would have liked the hedge cutter to have more cutting angles, I.e. one between 90 degrees and 45 degrees. But otherwise it made a good job of squaring up a cedar hedge. The chain saw took a while to work out (I initially put the chain on in the wrong direction) but when I fitted it correctly it cut through 10cm branches like butter. So, all in all a decent enough piece of equipment for the money.

Good bit of kit. The only nag is the oil that tends to leak out of the reservoir for the chain saw. The shoulder strap connection tends to detach from the unit when used unusual angles.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWell recommend this piece of kit but must say that all the telescopic pole trimmers I have tried become heavy on the arms after a short period especially when on a ladder, not so bad with both feet on the ground where you have good balance so don’t be put off , these are good. Not used chain saw yet, don’t forget to purchase some chain oil before you can use the saw and a one time assembly is not that complicated for the saw, you will only have to de assemble to fit new chain if required.

very easy to use , very sharp cuts well ,motors is power- full , good adjustment in length and angle of cut this means that i need only one hedge trimmer for all heights in the past needed long reach and short reach trimmers chainsaw means that i can prune and cut branches easily

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this really for the chainsaw as I was sick of our Flymo hedge trimmer sticking every two seconds on anything more substantial than a twig, and assumed all hedge trimmers were like that.

Apparently not! This hedge trimmer cut swathes off a very overgrown leylandii, so much so that it didn’t stick once and I didn’t actually need the chainsaw attachment. It cut branches of I guess about 10mm no problem.

With the extender I reached the top of the hedge, 3.5m high, and even managed to almost square off the top with the angled facility.

So I guess this is just a review of the trimmer, not the chainsaw, but absolutely 5/5 for the trimmer.

It’s not perfect. Instructions pretty poor, takes a little while to suss but I got there. Still no idea how the shoulder attachment connection is meant to work, but as one of the clips easily became unseated anyway, I swapped it out for a small karabiner and all was good.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI finally got mad about my neighbours decades neglected ivy and decided to do something about it. Found this here and thought “OK I will use the hedge trimmer for the thin areas, the weak chainsaw for the little twigs and saw the medium branches. Well this thing just tore through the lot of it and in half an hour or cutting and 1 hour of cleaning up I completed nearly a third of it. This thing is capable and for this kind of job I thoroughly recommend it. If I had a tree I wanted to get rid of I would be tempted to give it a go 😉

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHad this for a week now and used the hedge trimmer and the chainsaw and overall I am impressed, hedge trimmer cut well and had good reach for awkward areas and the ability to angle the head was very good, chainsaw has also performed well and has cut through everything so far, not sure what it’s limit is but not found it yet. Overall seems well made and pretty robust might not last a lifetime but have previously bought big name brands at a cost and they don’t last a lifetime either.
    Concerns –
Instructions are worse than useless which is particularly an issue with assembling the chainsaw as it comes in numerous bits so learning how to fit the chain as well as full assembly took some working out.
It’s heavy and takes time to understand the best way to handle it, especially at full stretch, practice first and try to keep the size as small as possible, on full extension it’s difficult, I suggest you always use the chainsaw at the smallest possible length.
The chain does sometimes come off so be prepared to have to refit it during a job, you really need to make sure the bolt is as tight as possible, I also found it was more inclined to come off on branches which were not that thick so tended to vibrate a bit which it doesn’t like.
Overall I think this is good value and does the job.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI decided that standing on a step ladder to trim my 8ft hedge was not clever after a near disaster. All reviews suggest using this item is a skill and requires balancing a heavy motor end and a trimmer about six feet above you. This is all true and it’s not easy. Plus the cuts are a bit uneven (my skill set!). But, it works and cutting off a finger is not an option. Exhausting, however.
Then I set out on the annual trim of two trees which need kept to about 8/9ft. Using the hedge trimmer was easy on thin branches, and the chain saw was brilliant on the thicker ones. Job done in no time!
Good value for money and (with practice) good results – and a chain saw. Excellent!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersPretty heavy but manageable. No intelligible instructions for tensioning the chain (black screw thumb tight then twist red collar). Once setup OK the chain saw worked well – I’ve used it up to 3.5inch very hard wood. Hedge trimmer very straightforward to use but you have to be careful not to swing too far left/right as it’s top heavy. I’m amazed how good both tools are for the price – 92

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this as have 6ft hedges and fed up having to ask the neighbour next door to go into their garden to cut the hedge. I haven’t used the chainsaw, however the hedge trimmer is really good and quick to use. I am a strong woman, however I find it heavy to use and have to continuously work it in short bursts. The strap doesn’t seem to take any of the weight off, but maybe I am not using it properly. Overall feel it is good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGood value for money. It is a bit cumbersome but what do you expect with a pole cutter.

Instructions to assemble are vague, I’m not entirely sure how the strap is meant to go together but got it working for me. Also worked out myself to clamp the saw chain as tight as possible so it doesn’t slack.

There’s reference to Ryobi in the instructions so think you are essentially getting a Ryobi unit rebadged.

    Cutting capability seems good.

Shame you can’t use each unit without the extension pole attached, even in its shortest setting it’s pretty long so low level works are quite clumsy. Otherwise v happy.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersThis is a kick ass hedge cutter. I’ve owned a number of hedge cutters in the past and they all give up or don’t have the power in them.

I decided on this mainly because of the price and that it came with a chain saw.

My Leylandii was certainly going to get it now.

The trimmer arrived and I had it set up within minutes, put the oil in the chain reservoir (doesn’t come with oil) and plugged it in.

Yes it’s slightly heavy but no trouble for me. On full extension it made mince meat of my Leylandii. The chainsaw effortlessly went through the really thick branches.

I wish I bought this years ago.

    5 STARS. 89 > bloody bargain.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersIt’s big, unwieldy, top heavy, and takes careful handling at first. After some minutes I learned how to use the shoulder strap to balance its weight and found that handling became much improved. Operating the power switches when trimming medium height hedges (with the blade at 90 degrees) is awkward, I prefer to use a platform ladder and keep the blade at 0 degrees. The trimmer is long enough for all of my requirements without the need to extend it. I haven’t tried the chainsaw yet.

The trimmer is well made, cuts well, and seems tough enough to last.
