As with other Ninja products, look to be well made and the knives are very sharp, the block is also very neat and also has the built in sharpener a great bonus.
I’m amazed at the superb sharpness and quality of these knives. I have had my knives for 30 years and thought it was time to replace. Research led me to these and I have no regrets whatsoever. Don’t question yourself, just do it.
With this block on top of worktop it is so easy to pick a knife to appropriate job instead of having to look through a drawer, I should have got them before waiting for prom day but worth waiting for a great bargai

We have various ninja products (air fryers) and bought these for the wife, it was her birthday!
She was very very happy indeed the stand is good for keeping them all safely stored and in one place.
The built in sharpener is a game changer for when the wife decides to hack away at something other than its intended purpose.
Even though I used to work in catering, at home I have always been happy with “good enough” knives. Pop down to Homesense and pick up a block for 30 or so and replace them every few years.
So spending this amount of money on a set of kitchen knives was something I am not used to, but decided to anyway as a treat to myself.
Opening the (very substantial) box and quickly testing the utility knife on a piece of fruit, I was shocked about how sharp it was. Even in my catering days I can’t remember any of the knives I used passing through an orange so cleanly. Almost like it wasn’t there.
So the knives are all great and the knife block also feels sturdy, especially with the suction feet on the base. Haven’t yet tried the sharpener, but I would assume it does the job it is supposed to.
So why only 4 stars and not 5? Aesthetics. Specifically of the handles, but also of the block.
Firstly the handles. They ALWAYS look dirty/dusty. When I unpacked it I assumed they were covered in a fine layer of dust from manufacturing/packaging, so tried to wash them straight away in warm soapy water. Nope, they still looked dusty (and not even an even layer of dust). Ran them through the dishwasher, the same. This is no way affects the usage but when the sunlight hits the handles through the kitchen window it annoys me every time.
I realise this is a design choice by someone at Ninja…. I just wish they used a different material that delivered a cleaner-looking finish. Especially for a product at this price.
The other annoyance for me is the knives sitting horizontally and not vertically. It feels awkward trying to get a knife back into the block, while trying not to stab and scratch the chrome-effect surround, and it also means the handles never quite line up properly (those aesthetics again). Also, my left-handed wife seems to have more trouble than I do, but that may just be her getting used to it.
So in conclusion, great knives that aren’t quite as elegant as I want them to look.
These knives are extremely sharp. The edges are vulnerable, so you have to wash and wipe them after use and put them back in the block where they belong. I bought them six weeks ago, and we’ve been using two of them regularly every day, and they’re still very sharp. I bought them when they were on offer, so they were a really good value. The block can take up a lot of space, though.
I love that they are very sturdy and comfortable to hold, i can honestly say that these are the sharpest and best looking as well, a set of 5 so one for every occasion, as needed, I’m thrilled to bits and so glad i treated myself, super price too.

This knife set has exceeded all my high expectations I had for a ninja product. First off it’s striking appearance is really bold, modern, stylish and just stands out – but not in an ugly way. The knives themselves are really nice to hold, feel nice and weighty but are easy to use, and the textured design on the handle again just makes them really comfortable to use. I like the fact that they’re one piece, make them more stable, more hard wearing and less liable to breakages. I liked that the scissors are included and matched the set perfectly as I always have a pair of food scissors when I need them now and not have to worry that people have used them on non food based products. The knifes themselves are exceptionally sharp and you need to be careful at first until you get used to them. I have banned my children from touching them unless under my supervision as they are exceptionally sharp. My husband loves that the knife sharpener is integrated into the block itself. I have put these knives in the dishwasher several times and not had any issues with them as of yet. Every product I’ve ever used by ninja has always been above and beyond anything else you can buy. This is absolutely no exception. Fantastic set, even at this price, if you can afford it it really is well worth it and you really can tell the difference.
