My Daughter was really pleased this year to find that my wife and i had bought her a Nintendo Switch in Grey. Our only concern is that when we went to charge it it only came with a two pin plug on the end. I’m not sure where it came from but is there any chance of a replcement charging cabel and wit an English plug on it so that my daughter can play on it as soon as possabel please. My daughter was quite upset to find out that we can’t charge it. I’m sure that i’m not the only one this has happend to. Yours Waitingly Mr Norman Griffin.
It arrived quickly, quicker then date expected so that was good. The mr is happy and setting it up ut deffo not new. However in mint condition
No instructions or info but can’t say nothing bad….
Have heard so many good things about this console and so glad I finally got myself one! Set up is so simple and the whole console feels like it’s expensive materials to make it Nintendo kinda slid with design on recent handhelds but this seems solid
Playing games like Pokmon which I played the most when growing up is brilliant because I get to play the new ones with outstanding graphics which is something I never thought I would be doing
Everything accounted for, secure delivery with code sent by Amazon to your email for the delivery driver for anybody with concerns about security. Would honestly highly recommend great quality and well worth the money.
After spending a long time avoiding buying a Switch, I finally caved. I’m an Xbox and PC gamer, and I felt there were not enough games available to warrant me buying another console… until now. That’s no longer the case, and I am so glad I’ve bought it.
To go from handheld, to docking it and playing on a big screen, it’s just so good. No one wants to pay for yet another online multiplayer gaming subscription, but in this case, it’s well worth it.
This was purchased in 2019 October approx as a Christmas Present for my neighbours young girl now 11 years old 2021 .
This console packs a mighty punch as it’s still being used and feedback is it’s a success story .Just purchased my 12th game for Bethany to play .It takes cartridges to play and Amazon, Asda,Game And Smyth’s etc stock these games for it.
You can also download games and join Nintendo online service for extra games.
Amazon stock lots of accessories for this hand held console ,with it’s own screen .Of course you can plug it into a Television with a HDMI cable, remember to purchase a 3 metre size for ease of placement.
You can purchase a extra battery rechargeable from Amazon ,different capacities are available.
The fact this is portable means you need a case ,again lots to choose from.
One over looked item is a better controller
again there’s lots to choose .( Joystick)
Amazon stock bundles on above so again it makes a great add on present .
I can recommend with confidence that this is a winner you will not regret this purchase .Also Amazon stock a large range of games for this but you have to go through many pages to see what’s available as lots of good titles are buried .
Cheat go online and use search engine to see what’s available past/ present .
Of course return to Amazon to see games that interests you and specify title and see in detail if it’s suitable and read reviews and make your own mind up on selection.
I bought this for my husband’s birthday but I’m convinced our son thinks we bought it for him! It has been a godsend during the winter months of the pandemic and it’s been used regularly by the whole family.
Came partly charge for instant playing, delivered on time and well packed by the seller. However one controller constantly drops out of connection when the controllers are taken off the main screen lasts a minute or so. Apparently this is a common first gen issue which seeing as I paid high Street prices would have expected more. Over all it is what it is and its only for a 7 Yr old so its not the end of the world.
I’ve been using the system for about 6 hours now and there’s no issue. For a high price it is still worth it -even hooked it up to the TV it’s still brilliant. All in great working order.
Apart from that I was expecting a bit more from Nintendo. I own a couple older consoles and the similarities are obviously different -but I feel like Nintendo could have added a bit more to the Switch.
The games; the classic ones and most popular gaming series (like Mario) are great but there’s loads of terrible games in the marketplace for download only. They look reasonably good in the cover, but when you go to look at images they down-grade.
The graphics anyway for games like Doom 2016 are terrible for a 2017 console. They literally look like Doom 3 but more sharp, considering they’re newer games.
Came working perfectly, other than some buttons have delay with pressing some times. (idk if that’s just how the switches are though) but otherwise amazing! Come with everything and came 4 days early!
Additionally, when holding the new Nintendo Switch in your hands, check the model number on the back. The new Nintendo Switch has a number that should read HAC-001 (-01), while the original has a model number of HAC-001.
A new Nintendo Switch Grey as expected. All works fine and have been playing it. Ordered on December 13, arrived on December 30 so postage was a bit slow, but coming all the way from Israel during a pandemic. Additionally you will get a 2 pin plug with adapter so can be used but I will buy a Nintendo UK 3 pin power bank for charging.
Will update review if anything changes, but so far so good.
I had bought this console as the Xmas gift for my child and believe me that is something every household needs to have. I already own one and it’s amazing despite being pricey and games price quite high up but it is worth every penny. Especially when 4 of you can compete in games.
The switch has a great selection of games, including first and third party, with many great ports such as DOOM 2016 and Skyrim. It also has you essentials such as Minecraft and Terraria. This switch with the improved battery life over the old model does make a different, especially since the battery life was not so great. Gaming in hand-held mode is just find for some games, but other games perform pretty badly due to the hardware being limited to reduce power consumption. The screen is 720p and looks good enough to where it doesn’t really bother me, and probably won’t bother you either. The device feels fairly delicate, especially with how the joycons attatch the the console, it feels as though they could easily snap off.
Overall a great device, not sure if I would recommend buying it right now, due to rumours of a new “Switch Pro” but if you don’t already have one, and really want one, I’d say go for it.
This is the newer version with the extended battery life, if you are in any doubt then Nintendo’s website shows you that there is a clear difference in the picture on the front of the box between the old and the new version. Can’t fault it, I use it nearly every day with no problems at all and I’ve had it over a month now.
I’ve always had PlayStations and I still believe that ps4 is the best option out there in terms of the number of games and quality. But the switch is a great innovation, the idea behind it is brilliant and the exclusive games are amazing, owning both consoles is recommended as you really have to play with both!
This product arrived quickly, well packaged and as described. Which is exactly what you hope for. With it being a Christmas present (it’s September) that it’s as described and as it looks in the photos and well packaged is really important as you don’t feel short changed and the item is free from damage. Really happy with it.
5 out of 5. If gaming was my exam the amount of revision I’ve put in astronomical.
Legit I have sat for hours since I got this, and I would say I haven’t wasted a minute!
Better start studying for my ACTUAL exam in November now *shudders*
I got this console as a treat for myself and i am very pleased with my purchase.
The console itself is well built, offering a good combination of handheld as well as allowing multiple players to play with each joy con.
The console isn’t too heavy considering it’s size and i have happily played it as a handheld for a long period of time.
The download store allows purchases of games without needing a physical copy but i do recommend a memory card as the games are pretty large.
All in all, still going strong and still having fun playing it.
Wasnt sure on buying as wasnt sure on the seller, but it came through safe. Works fine and does what its meant to, had no problems with it.
Buggest downside is its got a Spanish mains plug on it so ive had to buy an adapter for the UK
This looks much better than the neon one(I got it for my sister and it is an eyesore). I played for two hours and it did not become hot, and I expected it to feel heavy but it doesn’t. Great console. Greedy sellers.
Took me quite a while to buy it, but boy am I glad I did. Playing BOTW and animal crossing and have had sooo many happy hours de-stressing after work. 100% worth it. Consider getting a pro controller though as the standard controllers are tiring to use for long gaming sessions
Found It really handy, being able to move from playing on my TV to playing in handheld even just for using in different parts of the house or out in the garden.
Id advise getting screen protectors for the console, just to be safe in case repeated sliding in and out of the dock causes scratches on the screen after some time.
Good selection of games in various genres to play, either available physically or on the e-shop.
Ideally would like to see more apps become available on the device beyond Youtube (none of the streaming services are available at time of writing)
Stock may be hard to find at time of writing but Don’t pay anything over 299.99, especially for just the console on its own.
I am so pleased with my Nintendo Switch. I really loved gaming when I was younger but it’s been some time since I’ve actually played on one. I’ve been considering buying a new console for ages but was struggling to find the right one to buy. I did a lot of research before buying this and it’s safe to say I’m very happy with my choice. I love how versatile the console is – it’s the perfect blend of everything that was fun about the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii – you have the versatility and practicality of the former, being able to take it anywhere with you, whilst also providing you with a great way to have fun with family and friends around the TV like the latter. I’ve yet to use the ‘middle’ option (using the switch screen to play with the joy-cons disconnected) but I can see that will be fantastic, especially if whenever i go on a long car trip or stay at a hotel.
The Switch’s picture and sound quality are excellent – I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.
Overall, this is a versatile, functional, and fun console and I can see myself having so much fun with it for so long. I can’t wait to get more games and I am excited as the titles available continue to grow. Highly recommend!
I got this for my 11 year old sons Christmas present and we have definitely had some fun over the Christmas period with dancing, Pokemon and other games. Was so easy to set up and get ready. Everything was packaged very well and think it’s great to have in the house for guests and son to have some quiet time. Thank you.
Excellent piece of kit. I’ve done the pc, Ps4, and xbox one bit and they all felt very similar in choice of games. Simply what system I had just meant graphical quality or services. Gaming in general however felt a bit stale.
Since I got the switch though, the innovative use of controls, the multiple ways to play, the Nintendo exclusive games, and the ability to pick up most games and take them out on the go have all rekindled the feelings I used to have for gaming.
Its nice to be excited about gaming once again!
When the Nintendo Switch first came out I was interested in buying one, however when I read that it was using a rather old processor I hesitated and decided to wait in case they released an improved version. When word came of a new, updated Switch, I jumped at the chance to purchase one and boy am I glad I did.
It’s quite an amazing console, I didn’t think I would enjoy using it in handheld mode but actually it has its place. Using it in the dock with the joycons connected to the controller is my preferred way of using the console.
The battery life is phenomenal and the screen is actually pretty good, if looking at it from the sides you don’t get good contrasts but straight on I find the graphics perfectly serviceable.
Nintendo recently let people download SNES classics onto the Switch provided one has a Nintendo Online subscription and believe me it’s made owning the Switch even more fun than I had imagined it would be. This was especially useful given Amazon, in their wisdom, decided to send me the Switch very quickly while delaying my games, Pro controller and memory card.
In summary, I can without doubt recommend the new Nintendo Switch. I’ve been using it for a few days and have not found a single fault with it.
