Purchased this as PH in hot tub was low. It comes with a small 30 gram scoop, to calculate how much is required first measure your PH. Mine was reading a ph of 6, next find the difference from a normal 7.2 ph i.e 1.2. Each 30 gram scoop increases ph by 0.15 for a tub with 1 cubic meter volume, mine is 1.5 cubic meters, therefore divide 0.15 by 1.5 =0.1 then divide the ph increase required 1.2 by 0.1=12 scoops or 360 grames. There is 1.5 kg of ph plus in the pack, so if your ph is low expect to use alot of this product, I ended up requiring 15 scoops of product 450 grames to get my tub to a normal ph of 7.2, compared to other makes of ph plus you have to use alot of this product. The powder is very fine and dissolved easily. Probably better more cost effective to buy a larger pack say 5 kg, as this pack is only 1.5kg and will run out quickly, didnt expect to have to use so much product, but happy my chlorine, ph, and total alkalinity levels are back to normal.
This is a simple pH Increaser (turning Acidic water more Alkaline)
It is a very fine powder, and in transit some had escaped into the lid mechanism, making opening the container difficult the first time.
Takes a few scoops to make a difference in our large inflatable hot-tub, but this is a huge container that I think will last us years, keeping the pH finely balanced.
After reading various reviews I was dubious so didn’t opt for the larger size!! However having used for a couple of weeks I’m finding the product effective & not weak like some have mentioned. Tub is not best as hard to close & it’s substance is more powdery unlike granule type unusually but all in all not a bad product for the price. Would buy again.
