First of all be aware that this is a SINGLE din unit. If you want double din then go for the 7 inch screen model.
It’s decent quality, nothing mind-blowing but for the money you can’t go wrong. The screen is nice and bright and the control seem to work well. Music sound is good too and you can adjust the bass, treble, loudness as well as speakers.
It has Apple CarPlay but only via USB with the charger cable. It will connect to your iPhone with Bluetooth but only the music and calls, not CarPlay.
So if you want to use the satnav on your iPhone you can put only with the phone plugged in by USB.
Speaking of Satnav things like google maps etc works really well on there. Only downside is if you’re listening to music then the music goes quieter when the satnav voice give you directs and the volume stays down too.
Downsides: I Cannot store radio channels no matter what I try and that leads to the other downside: there are no instructions with this. You get a small sheet in awful English with basic instructions but it doesn’t really tell you much. Fortunately I’m pretty tech savvy so I worked most of it out myself but for a beginner there may be problems.
It also comes with a microphone you can fit in the car which is good because the mic on the front of the screen is very poor quality. The external mic lead is very short so you may need to get a 3.5mm extension if you want to mount it on the sun visor.
Call quality is really impressive, people sound like they’re sitting in the car next to you.
Sort out being able to store radio stations and put in better instructions in better English and I’d have given this 5 stars.
Stereo itself was great. Only problem I had was when I phone updated and wouldn’t connect to car play. Seller was so helpful and even emailed an update file within a day or two. For some reason it wouldn’t recognise the usb drive, seller didn’t hesitate to refund and I’ll be getting an android unit from the same store literally because of the help provided.
